Looks nice! I like what I've seen of Lupin III but it's hard to watch/read on a budget in the UK. Part II (I think?) was on Prime for a while, and I watched the first couple of episodes but then it was taken off. Other than Cagliostro, the DVDs tend to be a little pricey in my experience (Anime seems to hold its price). Not sure I've even seen the Manga on sale in a store. I now see the Lupin Vs Cat's Eye film is on Prime, so I should watch that. Despite not being that familiar with the series I would certainly consider getting this book at some point, as I love Animation Art/History Books (I have the Dragonball one for example, despite being at most a casual fan).
Urgh yeah anime is NOT a cheap hobby sadly. I was importing the Lupin DVDs for a while from the US and watching them on my multi region player but when they switched to making blu-ray only I gave up. If you're in the UK, ITV player has Part 4, 5, 6 (+ the Woman Called Fujiko Mine mini series -which is sort of it's own thing) streaming for free. I think the only option is dubbed but thankfully Lupin has always had very good dubs. Part 2 is definitely my favourite of the series but Part 4 is a good jumping off point too. A good mix of stand alone episodes and ongoing story episodes. Also the Manga got a small Greatest Heists collection released a few years ago. It contained a 10-12 stories with a new English translation (the original was really swear-y). A follow up of 12 more stories entitled Thick as Thieves just came out.
That Reed Nelson guy doesn't know Jigen very well. I read the whole book, and he put in Jigen's bio something like he thinks women are the enemy, etc, but there's visual PROOF that he's fallen in love more than once. It's just not really fair to Jigen.
I mean Jigen is usually the one that tells Lupin not to trust Fujiko for the umpteenth time (and is usually right). He certainly thinks THAT woman is the enemy.
Looks great! Ordering now.
Awesome, it's a great book

I think you're the only person who's done a full overview of this. Another channel uploaded a video of it but it's just a silent flip through.
Really? Wow, well I hope my ramblings helped.

You forgot about one thing: Jigen's legendary reputation for misogyny.
