- Come on in and see Corey tear apart and build up his likes and dislikes of his Sportsman Highlifter.
After 1 year, 1200km, lots of mud, water and skeg he opens up with all the nitty gritty!
I love mine but if I had a complaint ,the battery placement would be it. Had my battery die on me and it is a pain behind that bumper
Ya man I agreed
Ive had my highlifter for 6 years and ive never replaced the starter still the same one in there that came with the bike...same with the outlaw 2s still running the ones that came on it
I'm on my second starter on my 2019 850.
Don't even ask me about my wife's 850.... #starternumber5
Starters and batteries are definitely crap, the height of the winch is great it stays cleaner in mud & snow and easier to access, for a mud specific machine tho it boggles my mind that they have a common issue with water getting into the belt box
same as the sportsman 850 real good mid range and top speed is crazy
That tool box kicks ass
Lol it is you wouldn't believe the price I paid
love mine does great only issue is battery died right after warranty (6 months)
Yep.. being prepared to boost on the trail just seems to be part of the game. Always ride with a buddy and booster cables. ;) We have good luck with a 4-6 week schedule of a battery tinder left on overnight.
fuel pump is coming on dash is working and it’s getting spark and it’s rolling over but won’t start it’s a 2021 with 244 miles but it has sat for most of its life. And it’s throwing zero codes anyone know anything or has this similar thing happened to anyone?
Are you still running the MBRP EXHAUST? if so is it better because i wanna get one
How fast does it go? I just bought a 2023 1000xp highlifter
90 km an hour and then the rev limiter will take over
Mine just went out - can you post a video changing the started? Snorkel makes it a damn pin
Yep you are right!! A P.I.T.A. Next time one goes... in two months with our luck.. we will be sure to do a video! ;)
Do you have any mods or tunes ...my 2021 850 Highlifter seems to only top out at 55
No, my 2021 is "Stock, we will be running a Dyno later this spring. stay tuned.
It tops out at 55 because highlifters have a 30 percent gear reduction. This is done so you don’t snap axles and break transmissions. My 2019 is tuned. Didn’t make a top end speed difference. You would have to change gear sets in the trans to change top end.
I’m fixing to get a 22 1000 highlighter, think it’s worth?
Ya I would it's all what you like
Does Highlifter offer a updated starter
Not that I’m aware of
Love mine. What snorkel risers are those?
Warrior, an awesome addition! highly recommend grabbing them! Easy install, but follow the directions, slow down and double check before cutting anything. Ordered from #snorkelyouratv out of the USA
Have you had a lot of issues with bearings and bushings?
No bearings are all tight everything's good that way with it
I’ve had to replace all the bushings and all but my front bearings on Bonecrusher. Bushings and bearings for us are a normal once a year service item.
Sweet Suburban!
Ahh good catch not a suburban a custom built 1958 GMC truck with a Cummins in it. The Oldman/Dad, cut the cab, and extended it to be a four seater, it will be one of a kind when it is done.
Pretty cool!
