    That was a great and easy to follow video. The timeline feature is still basic but hopefully Google will continue to improve.

    It appears that this feature is only available in the paid version, not free google docs.

    Hi thank you so much for your video, it's really helpful. One question: Can we the Timeline combine the information of 2 tabs or more? thanks

      not as is, but if you bring the data together on one sheet, you can create the timeline from that composite

    Thanks it looks interesting and I want to try it. Possible to add milestones?

    • @DoITTrainingSBU
      @DoITTrainingSBU  Рік тому +2

      Not specifically, but you could add them as rows in the spreadsheet with start date = end date

    Is there a way to create dependencies so that a task only starts if all its dependencies have been met

    • @DoITTrainingSBU
      @DoITTrainingSBU  Рік тому +2

      Not automatically, but you could use formulas to set start dates based on another task's start date and duration

      Your Google Account likely doesn't have this feature - it's currently only in some Workspace Accounts: support.google.com/docs/answer/12935277?hl=en#zippy=%2Cthese-workspace-editions-can-use-timeline-view

      Not currently. Timelines can be downloaded (click File and then select Download) as .xlsx, .ods, .html, .csv, .tsv file

    • @DoITTrainingSBU
      @DoITTrainingSBU  Рік тому +1

      This was recently added - while viewing the timeline, File > Download and choose a format: .xlsx, .ods, .pdf, .html, .csv, .tsv

      @@DoITTrainingSBU Thank you, I think I did not frame my question right.
      I wanted to ask if the timeline view persists in that new sheet and next time when we open it or share that Sheet with someone, can we see the timeline view?

    • @DoITTrainingSBU
      @DoITTrainingSBU  Рік тому +1

      Yes, it stays.
      I did find timelines I created months ago when timelines was first released got a bit buggy, but that might have been because timelines were new then? They should remain and are visible to anyone with view access to the spreadsheet
