I would like to put my characters into the forgotten realms but I really don't want to run into anybody else's characters.. or step on anybody else's work or campaign for a d&d.. my characters came to gather because a dragon destroyed the town they were in.. now I have an oddball batch of friends that stayed together to kill a dragon it is a campfire story..someone asked me if I had it on a piece of paper and I do.. I would really like to put my characters in The forgotten realms..
I don' think you need to worry about coming across other characters, you can always set your version of the forgotten realms aside from the one that you want to avoid, you're the DM, you control everything. : )
@@polyoxy4423 makes sense.. thanks..i know R A. Salvatore the same man that wrote the ice when Dale trilogies has his work in the forgotten realms..ooo that would be cool my characters running around with his characters oh gosh what a thought LOL ha ha ha..

It's a bit sad that only Fearûn is trully 'original'... The other places seems to me really shallow and borrowed to our own world with very small imagination.
