Even though I’ve been spinning since dirt was new it’s enjoyable to watch someone else process and spin. Sometimes I’m reminded of something I used to do and forgot about and sometimes I learn something new. Either way working with fibers is such a joy!
I have a question for you. Last year during tour de fleece camajfibers had a challenge to cable spin. I really liked the look of my cable yarn I produced- but what would a cable yarn be used for. What would you knit with it
It’s so lovely to see “reality” spinning, where the wheel doesn’t cooperate and won’t take up, where the wheel adjustments have to be refigured and tried out and dialed in, and even where the spinner forgets how she’s supposed to be spinning the fiber. Cabled yarn provides exceptional stitch definition. It would be great, if it’s a solid color, for knitting anything with cables.
