Thank you Josh ! This was a real treat. Robin, Reg, and Jimmy...Oh Yeah !!!
That warm Stratocaster tone!
That soulful voice!
Those psychedelic blues licks!
The songwriting!
Trower has been my guitar hero since I was 16. (60 now)
Still listening to greatness in Texas 2023 🇺🇸
Had this album in 74, saw Robins " For Earth Below tour . Front row balcony at seattles paramount theater on clearlight LSD. Bought a guitar the next day!
Even live , Robin Trower,s improvisation,s were cool , that band clicked together very well, and Mr. Dewar , a Soul in a Soul , no doubt !
I received this album as a gift in the 70’s. I still have it... it’s been played to death. So nice to hear a fresh, clean transfer ! Thank you !!!
Robin Trower is my favorite rock guitarist.
I miss Jimmy Dewar.....he had THE voice !!!
I wish James d. Would have gotten more recognition
Amen to that.
His voice was a gold mine.R.I.P. Jimmy.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
One of my favorite singers ever to live! Truly for me he is the most underrated singer and bassist combo musician there was in this era! RIP James Dewar and Sail on!
@@Desode Totally agree
WHAT A GREAT SOUND A 3 MAN BAND CAN MAKE ALSO MOUNTAIN,BLIND FAITH,CREAM ELP ❤ They were the BEST !!!
"Wow this is a"Fantastic find"", "Thanks Josh R, I thought I had all of Robins Recordings,, 2023, new to me,, His tone and playing, sound "Bang Up to date, in 2023
Sinner's Song is absolutely epic. Reg Isidore (RIP) was truly a beast on the drums.
Jimmy used to say that Reggie used to really push him because of his drumming pace and left him sweating and exhausted after a gig...
Reg was an awesome drummer tailor for RT !!!
Robin never lets you down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KSAN-FM has had many live broadcasts in it's history of all types of artists and Robin Trower is one of the best I've heard live at the Record Plant.I saw him in 1985 on the Through The Mist Tour as he opened for Foreigner at the Frank Edwin Center in Austin, TX.What a great show and all I can say is he played as great as ever.
Robin at his best.
Daydream is just exquisite, Jimmy's vocals with Trower channeling some Hendrix just fantastic....
Awesome fucking album, thanks UA-cam for keeping classic rock alive..
Always liked Robin Trower, but have grown to love him over the past couple of years. He and David Gilmour play the most righteous blues guitar.
Hey Steve, I don't know man you're right about David Gilmore and Robin try again great guitarist but I don't know if David Gilmore would fit into the blues guitar category
Never seen a Trower boot . It shows you how respected he was back then .
My first time hearing this one. Robin is the best. Probably my favorite when it comes right down to it.
Why isn't this guitarist not in the rock and roll hall of fame?
because the RNRHOF sucks....
Because RRHOF is well known for denying great talent and only inducting the P.C. accepted artists.
who cares- just collect his vinyl and be glad it isn't hard to find : ) he jams with the best of them
Lymon... I totally understand what you are saying. I agree. But, really anyone that hears something like what's playing now and isn't blown away, is a Donny Osmond agent. I don't even know how the rarhof works. It's 2021 and it really is a crime Robin isn't in it yet but like Josh R. said "Who Cares".
The RRHOF is unworthy of Robin Trower.
for the lifelong fans. photographer in 1975 and found Live shows around Indy. photography from 20 feet away was a Dream. absolutely the most fun with a SLR and motor drive! made it to Backstage room and don't know how. just want all to know that Dewar was quiet and gentle.
It was cool to hear the first draft lyrics for The Fool And Me.
These guys are in top form on this recording! Love it.
This is really good audio. I saw him live in Louisville KY around 1976 or 77. Blew me away. I had just seen Led Zep there around the same time. Robin Trower's show topped it.
First concert I ever saw was summer of 1976 LA Coliseum. RT warmed up for Tull. Yesterday, on another YT video I found out why (same record label).
I have this on vinyl....great album!
Robin is alive and well still ,he should do one more live album before he let's his spirit fly
Just saw him March 2018 in Nashville. Still fantastic.
Damn, I did not even know this existed.
Thanks a ton for the share.
Good to hear the early numbers and compare them with the more polished versions. Must say the applause has also grown louder over the years, and deservedly so. Hope to see Robin again in May/June 2024. He is the last of a breed and a true gentleman.
Wow,great sound quality and performance !
Super guitar music and singing with style😎
All my favorite songs I didn't know came from this album
Great Then And Great Now...
Gotta have a daily dose of Trower
miss Jim Dewar too! come on guys, keep seeing comments from 2 and 4 years ago!! we can do better. Robin is not getting any younger! lady Love.
Had to sell my bootlegs, thought I would never hear this again. Thanks for making my day, no my year. Bootlegs forever. Thank you again for sharing.
Me too.. and this was the jewel of my collection.. the last one i sold... i made tape copies and stored the vinyls away..
only to play them again when conditions called for a new tape.
My favourite RT bootleg; Amazing Kornyfone 4-ever!
I never saw that album I have his other live album .one of my favorite guitar players
Killer upload Josh. Thanks man. Robin is the real deal. Outstanding talent. Great recording on this one.
Great capture !
I saw this set at Winterland that night he played 3rd bill stole the whole fucking show!!
Wow haven't heard this version ever before cool tanx
20 days eariler then this show, I seen Robin at the Whiskey A-GO-GO in Hollywood. (7/22/73) Used to be on You Tube. I can hear my high school buddy yelling on it. AWESOME !!! Seen Robin around 50 times & used to take AL HENDRIX to his shows in Seattle. GREAT GUY !!!
good stuff.
Um dos meus heróis 🇧🇷🇧🇷❤🎸
First time I seen this, and a fan for over 30 years. Thank you for the album added to my playlist.
I bought this in 1980 and could not believe how good it sounds.. still my high standard in bootleg recording
I saw them at Winterland in the early 70's, but I think it was after the second album. Amazing show.
I was stationed in CA (Castle AFB) in the late 70's and would listen to KSAN. Still have one of their t-shirts; the Jester. They were a kick ass radio station. Sadly, it is no longer the station it was then. I remember they simulcast the Grateful Dead playing the closing of the Winterland on New Years Eve 78/79 and they played until like 3 or 4 in the morning. My girlfriend and I floated from party to party and it was on every radio/tv at every house. Incredible stuff back then.
John Taylor , I was stationed at Castle from 1976 through 1979.
Worked for FMS in the "Big Hanger".
I think I attended every Day on the Green in Oakland, and a few Cow Palace shows.
Saw Robin at Winterland in SF in 1977.
Great trower is the best
John Taylor r
John Taylor I was at Castle AFB too, 81-84
Best live trower I’ve ever heard
Far out man!! Thanks!! Peace.
After 50 years of avid show attendance, at around 40 a year, Trower has kept himself firmly on my top ten list. Long may he live, (though I suppose he's done that already; all the more is fine with me).
thanks for this...r0ck0n
not!! hendrix not!! clapton its trower... an extremely distinctive incendiary guitarist and farkn brilliant especially if yer at the show sitting out of yer tree under the trees and the world is at yer feet... the guitar explains the complete mysteries of the world to your third eye.... robin comes from the highest dimension and a messenger thereof.... thanks for the upload greetings from tasmania...
Quite the insight you have there! Expressive, too!
I use to own a copy of this, and miss it dearly... SO GOOD (no faking of any kind on this one _ Jimi would approve !)
Lady Love,Daydream...
TRES Heavy Blues!!!
I saw him at Winterland that night 11 August 1973 he stole the show!!!! he was so FN great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Winterland, San Francisco, CA
Poco, Mark Almond Band, Robin Trower Also: David Blue
Kick ass!!
Still have this on vinyl :))
Awesome this looks rare 💥
Bootleg and IS rare
I have this!
Without a doubt the best live recording of Trower I have ever heard. Thanks Again...
I agree....was lucky to see him once in concert...a true master
Josh R. Robin Trower is my alltime favorite guitarist, Have seen him live more times than anybody else, About fifteen shows, most memorable one was at the selland arena fresno ca, Was literally hanging on to the stage ten feet from Robin and have a great pic from that concert, It was the for earth below tour. He opened for humble pie and there is a audio recording of that show on UA-cam, pretty cool to able to relive that concert.
That's awesome. It's hard to pick favorites but he is def Top 5 for me....I'm a guitarist and he is a big influence on my playing. I have quite a few live shows on my hard drive, don't have that one but I will check it out. I will be posting more of his LPs soon, I have them all from the 70s....although some of those mid 70s US pressings are not the best sound wise
Josh R. When Trower, paige, beck, clapton etc are gone, It will be the end of the true rock gods.
This is so true. Keep rockin' on, Robin et all!
then Power Trio 💪 epic concert & great quality of sound ✌
Thanks truckloads for sharing, I used to have this one (Big Gorrila bootleg) and most others of his vinyls the sad loss of which I still weep fountains about. KUDOS and blessings upon you. Having read some of the comments and your replies about having even MORE, I Immediately subscribed. PLEASE keep them coming won't you.
The man is a genious
Superb. Thank you.
Wow! as raw as Iv'e ever hear him. Great stuff. This was even before Lady Love was put to wax. You can hear his Marshall's humming in between songs. Thank you for posting.
This is hands down my favorite live Trower recording. It seems to be running a bit fast, could be the tape the booters used or they were playing fast - but I bet it was the tape speed
Masterpiece!
The song Twice Removed from Yesterday is very heavily Hendrix influenced.
Wow. this is absolute gold!!
Hell yeah! 🤘🤘
i bought this bootleg at Underground records on 2nd St in San Jose, Ca. \m/
Shortly before they played Ebbets Field in Denver. This sounds better!
His chord progression is fantastic !!!
Yes maam i agree❤
raw ! great download thanks !
Thx for this, man! Totally new for me, awesome...God bless ya and Rock on!
I have this one too.
Para escuchar estos músico hay que conose sus raise que gran aporte al rock
19:05 is my favorite

Their is a zone patrol, it consist,s of Mr Robin Trower & Company, Carlos Santana, & Pat Travers, it,s been up to , Them, not , Us, that has always been the way , I have set , My compass!
Different lyrics for Day of the Eagle!!
23:08 I can't wait much longer
Hear the Hendrix Influence in his style of Playing somewhat! He should be mentioned more as a Great Blues Guitarist!
I agree 1000 percentage
You said it rain of terror
if you have live bridge of sighs stuff please post
I have lots more live stuff on my hard drive, I can post a show or 2....I will look and see. I have all his studio albums from the 70s just got to get around to transferring them...I have the master reel version of this too
Only 1195 views what a shame and Ellen show 1 Billion , Insane .
hahaha, thats youtube for ya~!
why you watching ellen?
Ellen = just plain lead
Trower = diamonds
Most people only have lead, if you have diamonds, you're one of the lucky few!
Fool and me has different lyrics here interesting.
William Elwood
critical
I think Eric Johnson took a lot of the style
Why do they always have lame ass crowds? This band deserves better!
It was in a studio, that's all that would fit...
19:07
For anyone to say that RT was derivative, a Hendrix clone, is just simple mindedness or closed mindedness. RT was his own. And his songs in mid 70s were better written and even better played than JH.
Jimi had a diff thing going but RT acknowledges Jimis influence …
RT carved out his own thing
good but for me the king biscuit hour live cant be beat and i prefer bill lordans drumming as isadore is more a jazz rock and doesnt fit in with robins blues rock style
Hilarious, and true.
These guys are smoking, sounds like there are 10 people in the audience!
