To correct the video, Sesshomaru only starts to pursue Naraku after Naraku kidnaps Rin. Between the arm thing and then he doesn't actually bother with Naraku.
Sesshomaru's never cared about the matters concerning the shikon jewel or those involved with it. But when you mess with Rin whose under Sesshomaru's protection. And when you think to make a fool of Sesshomaru you've signed your death warrant. And Naraku had done that by messing with Sesshomaru.

Okay, a few things you were wrong on. Inu no Taisho is a title. (Great Dog General or Great General of the Dogs) Inuyasha's father is named Toga. Inuyasha didn't go back to the village to protect the jewel, he went back to steal it. Remember Naraku tricked both of them. He wounded Kikyo and shot arrows at Inuyasha. Feeling betrayed, he went back to the village to steal the jewel to become a full-fledged demon. Likely a part of his reasoning is so he would no longer feel the painful emotions of being betrayed by the one he loved. Also, Shippo is a boy. No need to use genderless pronouns. Kikyo steals souls from the dead, not the living. And Rin doesn't appear until after Sesshomaru's 3rd battle with Inuyasha. Not the 1st.
let me make a few corrections here... inuyasha first started to try and take the jewel then befriended kikyo in the process of repeated attempts. they then fall in love and he reconsiders his wish briefly till naraku imitated both their appearances to pit them against each other due to his desire for not only kikyo but the jewel. this betrayal lead to inyuasha stealing the jewel for real to become a demon. which ends in tragedy.
Go watch it! I'm now re-watching it after after years I didn't watch it (it was also my first anime) and it's great! I live the little stories, the episodes in my opinion are important because it shows cherctor development over time. It's easy to bing and it's just fun!
@@DisneyBar Totally agree with this. Some of the most enjoyable episodes of Inuyasha in my view were whenever it took frequent breaks from the central narrative and just focused on the internal growth and interpersonal dynamics of different characters, reflecting on their pasts and what they wanted for their futures, their relationships, and unafraid to have the Slice of Life episodes and moments or monster-of-the-week. A lot of people see this as a negative thing, but I don't because I'd much rather have a much longer show where I genuinely feel the breadth and weight and growth of a journey with the characters and genuinely become invested in them and the world than a lot of the 12 - 26 episode anime which just quickly tell one story. I don't see the need to rush full steam ahead on the main plot only. That's what made the show feel organic and alive. There's so much small nuance and subtle, beautiful and quiet/understated moments in all those slower "breather" or "filler" more meandering episodes. Watching the full show and being really immersed in the characters and their quest is just an experience on a different level!
@@ShonenOuji Heck is that supposed to mean. SC was only like 48 episodes. As I recall there was no filler and always new interesting conflicts. How dare thee imply Jojo is repetitive! No offense of course, I just strongly disagree with you if that's what you were implying lol
It would be hilarious if one of Inuyasha's daughters tried the sit command on her father. Inuyasha could panic and there is some debate whether a daughter of Kagome would be able to carry out the command or not.
Oh man! InuYasha would never be able to discipline his daughters! InuYasha: Now you know what should do, right? Daughter: apologize. I: Yes, so go ahead. D: SIT boy!! / OSUWARI!!
Omg I grew up on this show, me and my friend were OBSESSED with it growing up. I can't believe there's a followup coming this is nuts. I have to rewatch the whole thing
I don't know how it started, but in the 90s, there was a trend in Asia where a lot of dramas and animes were made into never ending stories with tons of fillers in between. One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, and Inuyasha were the most prominent.
10:32 the first episode I ever saw was 16 in August 2005, which introduced Miroku. The same night I saw ep 5 of FMA, which introduced Maes Hughes. I consider this my first real interaction with anime and thus InuYasha is my co-gateway anime. I saw some anime before this as part of 4kids Saturday programing block but without being cognizant of anime or it being so.
It’s getting a sequel??? I remember waking up at 5 am when I was six to try and watch it on adult swim. My mom got so mad at me that she took the tv out of my room because she kept catching me watching an “adult show”. I mean, she wasn’t wrong but it took like three weeks to get my tv back.
Thank you for doing this. Inuyasha was my first anime as well and my favorite. I know it isn't perfect but I dont think I'd be an anime fan without it. Fantastic summary and an excellent video.
probably should've gone over the epilougue chapter (set after Kagome is permanently in the past). since the villain from that chapter apparently plays a role in YashaHime. Though they're probably going to just show the relevant parts of that in YashaHime
inuaysha was also my first anime, alongside fullmetal alchemist and fruits basket--as such i feel like i've got a fairly high standard for the anime i'm willing to consume (it's gotta have good story with actual progression, good characters with actual arcs, and it needs to have an ending that's satisfying)
This is the first time I heard of Inuyasha getting a sequel anime! I'm so excited!!💕 I hope it'll be as well written as the original, ahh it'll be so nice to see all the characters animated nice and crisp and clear, not that it wasn't already beautiful😌
Thank you so much for this video! Brought back a lot of memories ❤️ Inuyasha was my first anime too..and I was obsessed with it for years lol! Still am of course 😁 Really excited to see the sequel.. fingers crossed 🤞🏼
Thank you. Now I don't have to feel so pressured about catching up on the entire anime and rewatching again. Since I was dumb as a kid, I never connected the plotpoints and was confused about Onigumo (that how u spell it?) until you explained it. Thank you.
Oni = demon. Kumo = spider. (In Japanese, 1 pronunciation can be used for different Kanji characters with different meanings. Like "kumo" with different Japanese characters and contexts can mean "cloud". When Japanese words/ characters put together to form a compound word or phrase, the pronunciation of a single sound can slightly change, not always though so it's "kumo" not "gumo" for spider. Japanese is confusing and on the top 5 list of the most difficult languages to leaen to Western people. His name means spider demon or something like that. That's why Naraku and his minions have the spider scar mark on their backs.
Thank you. I'm a pretty big fan of Takahashi's work, but Inuyasha in particular....I see the ambition but it hits you with so much early on that I found it hard to get over that gap. Having it all summed up like this really puts the series into perspective and makes me want to try to finish it.
Seriously.. I need more stories about Inuyasha, Sesshomaru and Miroku where they are as the major role. still miss them. Can't get enough seeing them in yashahime.
As an Inuyasha fan and , more widely, a Rumiko Takahashi sensei fan, I'm not so enthusiastic about Yashahime. The character design is very well done and I'm sure it will turn out as a very interesting work but... I feel like it cannot equal the original characters' charm, which is - in my opinion - unsurpassed. I have always wished for a spin off about Sesshomaru, to see his further development as a character, but it would have been nicer if it had been written by Takahashi herself. Actually I was also slightly disappointed when I read the manga and I found out that some episodes and details regarding Sesshomaru's arc existed only in the animated version. However, I understand it would have been hard to create a new anime - as interesting as "Inuyasha" - still focused on the original characters, maybe some years after Naraku's defeat.
Takahashi is very close to the development team of Inuyasha. They go on island vacations together still. She probably gave her input on those episodes and liked what she saw. She's very involved with Yashahime as well, and probably even more so because she's working together with the animation team to write the background and story.
Honestly, it's rare for any sequel, remake, reboot, or any other form of additional entry to a series or franchise to ever surpass the original and with as great a story as Inuyasha, it's probably nigh impossible. So I have zero expectations for this to. But if it's even 10% as good as Inuyasha, that would still make it 100x better and more interesting and worthwhile an endeavor than a lot of the ecchi/harem/gaming-based isekai # 9001 modern garbage-tier anime which it seems is like is 90%+ of the output these days. .
Inuyasha was my very first anime and a great introduction into the anime universe along with Dragon ball, Pokémon and Yugioh i was 4 years old when my mother and uncle decided to open the doors to the anime universe and im very grateful for that. Hyped for a sequel series but if there's anything I've wanted to see most from Inuyasha is when Inuyasha and Sesshomaru met for the first time and their few encounters before the main series
7:45 Now I get Naraku's plan a bit more. I was so confused as to why he put the jewel back in the first place. 10:05 So, I'm not the only one who thinks he's useless.
Inuyasha definitely the best and first anime I'VE WATCHED AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY RELEASED THE SECOND, WAS WAITING TO WATCH IT BUT ITS BEEN LONG TIME THEAT YEARS PAST THAT i DIDNT WATCH YASHIHIME. PLUS THE SONGS ARE JUST SOUL TOUCHING
Same my cousin played this on DVD when she was in high school and my aunt, her mom watching it. Little they didn't know there was a sequal. but I did... 😆
I remember my best friend in middle school was so excited over this show. I was visiting her at her house (she was the unpopular poor kid and I wasn't much better off, moved around a lot so had 0 social skills) and a package came. She tore it open to see a collection of burned dvds. She spent all of her birthday money (which wasnt much) on ebay for a ripped copy of the final bit of the anime she didn't have yet. She was so excited, like SO excited. And that was my first real introduction to anime.
That was a great 👍 Summary of the show series. To me the show should have been called “The Shikon Jewel” since it’s more of a story about that than the characters like “Lord of the Rings” for example.
It’s sad you say Shippo is useless in all of anime. He cared for Kagome, protected the gang when they were poisoned by Mukotsu, begged Sesshomaru to revive Kanta’s father, protected Satsuki and there’s so much more. He’s an orphan kid and never ran away like Myoga. He waited for Inuyasha and Kagome for three days near the vanish well. I see him as Sakimitama for those reasons. I love the original gang and since this is the only anime i watched, i won’t say their useless, they just have no great development.
Inuyasha was the anime of my childhood. I remember being my afternoons waiting to see it in Cartoon Network, reading fanfics and having my firsts se.xuals fantasies about that. I have a tattoo of Inuyasha too. I cant say how much I am disappointed with this continuation
X years later is the conclusion I'm supposed to gather from all of Naruku's actions...is it because like the Shikon jewel he's struggling between good and evil. It's not necessarily Onigumo himself or his simp energy for Kikyo but that actual inherent good and evil of Onigumo's heart. Naruku's actions are ascending levels of stupid evil. Possibly because in the end he wants to create a scenerio (deep deep down) where he dies.

Hey nice
let me make a few corrections here...
inuyasha first started to try and take the jewel then befriended kikyo in the process of repeated attempts. they then fall in love and he reconsiders his wish briefly till naraku imitated both their appearances to pit them against each other due to his desire for not only kikyo but the jewel.
this betrayal lead to inyuasha stealing the jewel for real to become a demon. which ends in tragedy.
@@azadalamiq What are you correcting?
@@azadalamiq That's exactly what the Original Comment said. What's your point?
Azazura Azura maybe you should read it again🥴
Yayy Inuyasha content, I'm all for it 😍
thanks friend!
Love how your wearing Kagomes uniform in your pfp
@@Tris-bx1iu haha it's the first cosplay I ever did 🤗
Great job! I’ve always wanted to start Inuyasha and now I have to because the story seems so beautiful. Looking forward to more Inuyasha videos.
ngl, of the 200 episodes, there are like 20 that matter lol
AxelBeats! Hey now, I watched all of Stardust Crusaders. I think I can handle a measly 180 repetitive episodes...probably.
Great video man~ This was so much nostalgia. I missed pieces of the show along the way. Great summary to help catch one up to speed!
Thanks man! Hope you've been well :)
@@AxelBeats Hey you should do a video on Bankotsu.
I'm super glad im still alive to see the sequel yashahime
It would be hilarious if one of Inuyasha's daughters tried the sit command on her father. Inuyasha could panic and there is some debate whether a daughter of Kagome would be able to carry out the command or not.
Oh man! InuYasha would never be able to discipline his daughters!
InuYasha: Now you know what should do, right?
Daughter: apologize.
I: Yes, so go ahead.
D: SIT boy!! / OSUWARI!!
I'm pretty sure he only has Moroha.
But imagine if he *did* have another daughter and she had white hair, she'd be gorgeous
He only has 1

@Arno Wisp
With the way they are, I'd be surprised if they *didn't*
AHHH I'm so excited !! inuyasha and fruits basket are my favs finally inuyasha is getting a sequel
Omg I grew up on this show, me and my friend were OBSESSED with it growing up. I can't believe there's a followup coming this is nuts. I have to rewatch the whole thing
I wanna know why lord sesshomaru hasn’t had his spin off
I don't know how it started, but in the 90s, there was a trend in Asia where a lot of dramas and animes were made into never ending stories with tons of fillers in between.
Inuyasha was also the first anime I ever watched and I fell in love with anime since. :)
How you just going to disrespect Shippo like that. He is the heart and innocence of the team. Humph!
WHAT! HELLO about freaking time I love Inuyasha🥰 thank you for this update 👍🏻🥰
I love inuyasha. 😢 i love kikyo ❤ i will always love my powerful kikiyo inuyasha enternal ❤
Wonderful job doing this! Would love to see more!
I like how you explained it so well. Thank you. Now I got to learn more on Inuyasha's story. Liked and subbed. Great job!
Good point, i might make a short video on that before yashahime if i have time :) thanks friend!
@@AxelBeats NP
inuaysha was also my first anime, alongside fullmetal alchemist and fruits basket--as such i feel like i've got a fairly high standard for the anime i'm willing to consume (it's gotta have good story with actual progression, good characters with actual arcs, and it needs to have an ending that's satisfying)
so only like 10 anime
This is the first time I heard of Inuyasha getting a sequel anime! I'm so excited!!💕 I hope it'll be as well written as the original, ahh it'll be so nice to see all the characters animated nice and crisp and clear, not that it wasn't already beautiful😌
my favorite of all time watch it with my wife decade's ago 163 episode if i recall and like 4 movies. im super happy to heard that!
Thank you.
I'm glad it helped! And yes, onigumo is right 😂
Omg but it’s so fun to rewatch it with a new understanding as an adult
I still haven't told my first ex why I broke up with him by phone while watching Inuyasha's most emotional moments. Hehehe :D
Seriously.. I need more stories about Inuyasha, Sesshomaru and Miroku where they are as the major role. still miss them.
Can't get enough seeing them in yashahime.
Nailed it. Literally everything you need for a refresher. If you want more info watch a diehard breakdown of the series
I'm starting to rewatch Inuyasha after seeing they made this new season. Im so excited!
Good video!
Watched bits of Inuyasha before so I didn't grasp the whole story.
Nice to know about the whole timeline of events.
But if it's even 10% as good as Inuyasha, that would still make it 100x better and more interesting and worthwhile an endeavor than a lot of the ecchi/harem/gaming-based isekai # 9001 modern garbage-tier anime which it seems is like is 90%+ of the output these days. .
@@basharbodhisattva8404 Well at least this will be better than Boruto.
one thing that really bothers me is the possibility of sessrin becoming cannon. That would be totally creepy.
@@selena9887 Low bar, but absolutely!
Everything you said was perfectly what I needed for the recap for princess half demon. Great video. This is more of what I need.
This was an excellent recap man! I barely found out theres a sequal anime and I loved the original. Thanks
Inuyasha was my very first anime and a great introduction into the anime universe along with Dragon ball, Pokémon and Yugioh i was 4 years old when my mother and uncle decided to open the doors to the anime universe and im very grateful for that. I'm a proud Otaku and will one day hopefully share the experience of anime with my own kids like I've done with my niece and nephews they absolutely love it.

Growing up with the show and to this day it is still my favourite. I can’t wait for the spin off.
I love you videos you always make good content I love your Inuyasha one’s😍😍
Many thanks and looking forward to more. Was not my first anime but one that got me to watch so many more. Looking forward to your next vid.
but Koga had one more purpouse - he wanted to destroy Naraku to avange his clan. So he was also another party that Naraku turned against himself...
Me & my kids were so into Inuyasha! This continuation has us stoked!
Hyped for a sequel series but if there's anything I've wanted to see most from Inuyasha is when Inuyasha and Sesshomaru met for the first time and their few encounters before the main series
Bless you for this video, it's been AAAGES! 😅🙏

So, I'm not the only one who thinks he's useless.
Great video ! Thanks for making this now it all makes sense
Subbed. The quality and nostalgia got me. Keep em coming friend, your on to something here 😀
Inuyasha definitely the best and first anime I'VE WATCHED AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY RELEASED THE SECOND, WAS WAITING TO WATCH IT BUT ITS BEEN LONG TIME THEAT YEARS PAST THAT i DIDNT WATCH YASHIHIME. PLUS THE SONGS ARE JUST SOUL TOUCHING
I automatically loved this video, amazing work! Keep it up up. 👍

Inuyasha was my first anime I watch and da best 🥲
Same my cousin played this on DVD when she was in high school and my aunt, her mom watching it. Little they didn't know there was a sequal. but I did... 😆
Thx for this vid. It really refreshed my memory cause I haven’t watched inuyasha in a LONG time 😭. Well can’t wait for yashahime 😄.
How did I not know this sequel was coming?! Damn InuYasha was my second anime and BOY I'm very hyped for this :D
video in the next few hours discussing the main trio and the basic plot :)
That was a great summary. Thanks I'm ready for the new spin-off
How dare you call Shippo useless! 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭😭😭💔💔
Cute tho 🤔
Even Kirara is more powerful lol.
Shippo is useless he helped when could many time
Cuz he kinda is and kinda annoying he was I guess useful in the band of 7
@@AxelBeats He protected Kagome from the fire couple of times. Saved her life,so no matter what, how can he be useless ?
You’re disappointed?
I can't wait to see Yashahime!
thanks!! here some appreciation from a Thai fan! Inuyasha is one and only Anime I love and read all comic books.
