I’ve used all of her tips and although i still have strawberry legs, it’s not as noticeable as before. I think exfoliating is key! I’m so grateful for her and this helpful video!!! 💕
Try using amlactin 15% lactic works wonders also dermarolling but it’s not a lot of research on legs but it does reduce the appearance of kp so it’s worth a try
I’m African and I always lived in italy. I’ve always had strawberry skin on my legs, arms and thighs. But one thing i have to say is that by regularly moisturising my skin with cocoa butter my skin has improved like crazy. Lastly every time i go to Ghana (Africa) without even putting cream on my body the strawberry skin thing goes away and that’s because the weather there is not dry but rather very humid which is the ideal for African people!
hi everyone ,if anyone else needs to find out about how to treat keratosis pilaris try HootKen.xyz ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my co-worker got cool success with it.
I’ve never shaved my legs and I’ve had keratosis pilarus or “strawberry legs” for as long as I can remember I always exfoliate with a shower pouf and use medicated lotion the medicated lotion I use has help reduce texture of the bumps but I still have the discoloration
Girl! When I was 10 I called myself shaving my legs and ever since then I've had these spots on my legs .....I'm 31 now! I just found out people call it strawberry legs...but my spots aren't raised...just flat brown spots where the hair grows. I hate it. I've tried scrubs n everything.....Lord have mercy. I just want clear smooth legs!
Hi girls, thought I would tell you what worked for me. Lazer hair removal! I have 12 treatments! It’s gone! I’ve lived with it since I was a teen (am 30!) so there’s hope x
I had those for most of my life. I decided to try something I could do everyday. I just switched from a soft washcloth to a very thin rough one. Every day in the shower I scrub thoroughly with that rough washcloth and then I moisturize with an organic body lotion while my skin is still damp. In two weeks my skin was smooth and the dark pores only come back when I don’t moisturize and exfoliate regularly.
Queen Tina I am not loyal to any particular brand and I should have said natural because I don’t always buy organic. I do have a long list of ingredients I try to avoid, and I sometimes check the ewg scores before I buy. Right now I have Eminence Organics Stone Crop Body Lotion, EO Lavender body lotion and Alaffia everyday shea in Lavender.
Exfoliate in the shower using a loofah and sugar scrubs, my favorite is the turmeric Shea sugar scrub by tree hut and when I get out I mix aloe vera gel with my lotion. Mix with any lotion, I’ve used bath and body lotions and Jergens enriching Shea butter. Use your favorite and mix with aloe vera or aloe vera gel.I started doing this and wasn’t even trying and I noticed a difference.
I’ve always had “strawberry legs”! I never knew the cause. I just assumed it was the hair follicle darkened. Also, my legs lighten up in the cooler months w no sun so I thought all of that combined was the cause. Good to know! Thanks!
Thank you from a white girl. Been trying to figure out what’s up with these recent spots on my legs. So thankful there’s something I can do about it! Was worried it was just another terrible symptom of aging. I’m in the not so fun 40s. Thanks for including natural / diy options too!
As soon as she said she try to be more like Jesus everyday I paused and followed we need more people acknowledging him this way, YOUR BEAUTIFUL! thank you! 🌹
Over the past I’d say 2-3 years I’ve noticed I’ve begun to have “strawberry skin” and I felt very weird and I didn’t have anyone that could relate, my cousins all have smooth perfect legs and I had began to feel very self conscious but let me just say that this video has given me hope! I hope to see progress since summer is coming up and it’ll soon be short season, thank you for making this video 🥺🥺
Hey Nina I hardly comment but I just wanted to say that i really appreciate your energy and your content. I find that you have a really healthy relationship to your body and soul and I really look up to you. 😊 ❤
Hey! Here's a suggestion as well: please do a vlog on Turkish baths/ Korean baths. Each have a version of a traditional body scrub that removes dead skin. 🌹🌹🌹
if you go in a circular motion it can cause your hair to grow in different directions and cause ingrown hairs. So don't exfoliate in a circular motion, but in a up and down way.
@@tianal2538 honestly i havent been using this exact technique but i exfoliate very thoroughly every 2-3 days and make sure to keep my skin very moisturized and being consistent with that has helped the dots be a little less noticeable and my legs are pretty smooth and not bumpy
Dear washing sharp things using hot water degrades their sharpness. One of the reasons why in medical field we don't put our sharp equipment in hot machine/water we just soak them using sydex/betadine.
i.love.you i’m mixed and i can get VERY tan so when i’m getting tan it’s A LOT more visual and i’ve been covering my body a lot more because school and i haven’t been getting tan so THANK YOU FOR THIS i’ve been struggling with strawberry legs for soooo longggg
girl, you put in WORK into these videos and you can really tell. So much good info in this, all the links, the recipes, the explanation. Not only that but you’re funny and enjoyable! Lol, fs a new sub! 💓
Thank you for the continued uplifting of positive thoughts. I don't want to take all my gifts and ideas to the grave. I want to do them and share them with the world. My main hindrance is SHOPPING! I gotta get out of debt.
I'm from the middle East and I'm light skinned but my hair is thick and black so you can see my strayberrie legs&arms from like a mile away. My friend said she thought I had blackheads on my legs.... After being super insecure about it I decided to laser the hair away permanently. I have my first treatment this week. I hope I can finally be comfortable in my own skin soon.
Thank you for the advice! Honestly, I've had them since I was a kid like many others and will definitely give this method a try. You are a goddess inside and out, thank you for encouraging us to be our best selves no matter what, spirituality, mentally, emotionally and physically.
I noticed my keratosis when I was a teen. My parents asked my pediatrician & he just said to use alcohol. I feel like I’ve tried every home remedy...l’m almost 24 & still battling these ingrown hairs. I’ve been using tend skin from Walmart online & it’s been helping. It’s pricey but worth it.
I'm a really pale latina (hairy by nature), I noticed my strawberry legs when I was in 7th grade when a boy asked me why I didn't shave my legs. It embarrassed me so deeply its been 10 years and I still think about it before I use anything that shows my legs. I hope this works 🤞🏻😭
I appreciate this video but, "strawberry legs" or "chicken skin" isn't dirt buildup. Some people's skin over-produces keratin that builds up around the hair follicle, called keratosis pilaris, which I have, it can be maintained, but no "cure"
I notice when I get my legs waxed, my pores shrink snd my legs look smoother. I’m excited to try these techniques & remedies so my skin looks smooth & moisturized. Thanks 🙏🏼
You are really good at what you do. Easy to listen to, you held my attention through the entire video. I also learned a great deal. I have horribly dry skin over my entire body. You have really good content. I subbed and rang the bell. Have a blessed day. Keep doing what you are doing.
Exfoliating has helps me a lot in just achieving soft legs but my hair grows so thick that it makes my pores look big so I opted for laser therapy and it has helped the look of my legs so much, I feel it has been the only thing that has actually helped me.
It’s a keratin build up not dirt and the pores aren’t enlarged they just look that way because of the keratin build up and shaving doesn’t make it worse dry skin does
These are great tips for overall leg hygiene and all, but I’m just wondering is there anyone here that has actually HAD AND DEALT WITH strawberry legs before and found a tried and proven method to lighten the dark spots (which is not just dirt). It would be nice to see some real before and afters..
Lazer hair removal, exfoliate (at least 3-4 times a week) and hydration, hydration, hydration! These helped me a lot (it didn't disappear, but has improved a lot)
I use an exfoliating rag everyday. I moisterize while still damp with cocobutter. My skin is soft and the large dark pores are fading. I started three weeks ago. It works, but when you shave you have to use the best sharp razor and you have to use a really good shaving cream that works for you. I use to shave with soap water. When i stopped and started doing what i mentioned for the past 3 weeks. Its changed things. Its worth it and the cheapest way to go. Consistancy is key. While you work on the outside its best to work on the inside eat right and stay hydrated.
I never heard of strawberry legs, glad I have a term to search now. I've had this on my legs my whole life. Various dermatologists and doctors have told me this was either KP or a vitamin K deficiency, so maybe for someone else struggling check into a possible vitamin K deficiency. I have to say, you really have this all down! So much I've learned the hard way from years of trial and error is basically all here, with a few minor changes to the routine. I only use baby wash, nothing scented for a body wash and for my scrub I use coffee grounds, sugar and olive oil. That mix, especially the coffee grounds, is the absolute best I've found for my legs. I even use it as a scalp scrub too, and besides feeling good it did really change things for my hair. We have pores there too and they get no attention lol. I make it at home as needed, just enough for each time since it's so easy.
Dropping Tea tree oil in my lotion after shaving really saved my legs when it comes to razor bumps. Not that I don’t have any but it’s significantly reduced. I loved the brand Radha on amazon. I use it for everything: pimples, rashes, ingrowns, razor bumps, diffusing, etc.
I don't know what it is about you, but this is the first video I'm watching from you and when I clicked on it i just fell in love with your energy and your mood and how funny you are. Keep it up !! New subscriber (:
I ain't never knew there was a thing called strawberry legs. I've always thought they were called leg pimples lmao but I been prone to strawberry legs ever since I was in middle school and i had no clue how I got them since I don't shave but I'm hoping this video help my legs out! 😭
Ok!!!! Enough is enough. How are you doing this? Every single time I google something, you post a video on it. I was just researching this a couple of days ago.
Ahh! I love your videos! I used to watch your videos all the time when you first posted about weightloss like 2-3 years ago, took a break and came back to one of your videos in my reccomendations, and I'm loving the content and still can't get enough! Thank you for not only sharing your secrets, but consistently producing HELPFUL content! ❤ We need more Queens helping Queens 👑. Blessings!
Man I really needed this because I have lighter skin and the pores is really noticeable like legit it’s fricking red and people noticed it. They’d say I have chicken pox or something AND adding the fact that I have acne body and face, I’m literally disgusted of my whole body. I wear anything that covers my body......but thanks for the hacks.
Your skin is amazing! I know this videos is about your legs but your face, tops of your arms, chest look so clear, so even!! Thank you for sharing your tips 😊
I knew it. You see, I'm paper white. I have strawberry legs all day everyday and I've been watching other white peoples shaving tips and they don't even know. So I was like let me get outta my race for a minute, and you have all the answers! I've been wanting to get an aloe plant because I want to try more natural things on my skin. Thanks for the tips 😉
I just use black soap and witch hazel on my face and legs. Black soap is good for clearing acne and dirt, witch hazel is good for deep penetration. The black soap acts as an exfoliant too.
I went for a full body wax...for the first time in my life, and she used a HUGE RAZOR on my legs and thighs, and now my skin is jacked up!! She defeated the purpose of me going, and after trying everything I'm gonna have to make a trip to the dermatologist!!!!!! So freaking mad
Hi, what? Like you asked your aesthetician for a wax and she shaved you all over even on zones of the body you never shaved nor planned to touch? O_O that's completely wrong, like why would she do that if you came to wax? I like shaving, but I always chosen where to start knowing what to expect, accepting the pros and cons and managing the downsides comfortably and planning to continue where I start. But don't worry, shaving won't jack up your skin and she only did it once, it might only have given you some stubble where you didn't plan to, which has to be taken care of, which is why I'm not gonna start where I grow fine hairs, the ones which don't bother us (:, might make your next wax a bit more painful but probably not even that, in the end she just shaved you once and that might only come over the long time as hormones stimulate the shaved hair as it grows back, the stubble goes away once hair is fully grown back. A beautician should only shave a client if they desire this depilation method. Don't worry it's rare that one's so unprofessional, just find another salon and have them wax you professionally (:. If you decide to shave is also fine, rememeber to only shave on dark and visible hair and never go any more further than that on fine hair, unless many dark terminal hair are starting to grow among it.
YES THANK YOU! Im a pale Mexican and because of my genetics I have thick hair that is super noticeable on my pale skin. I will definitely try this!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love your channel and really appreciate your wisdom, encouragement, motivation, and all you give to us. I have lost over 100 lbs. now...ever so slowly...over years actually. I'm in my 60s and look pretty good in my clothes. But, still have some unwanted flab and loose skin. I want to go from flab to fab too! I have also had alot of surgeries and injuries to my lower body, so I can't do just any old exercise routine. I remember you used to have a seated chair routine video to work out your legs. I loved that video, but can't find it. Can you help me out. By the way, you have such beautiful legs! I used to also...inherited from my beautiful mama. But, now they just need some definite toning! Thanks again for all you do! I ❤️ love your channel and celebrate your success!

Beautiful skin requires commitment, not a miracle. Take time and invest in your skin , it's going to represent you for a long time.
And you know that's what I always say. No miracle out there works without time and proper investments.

It’s not dirt, it’s called keratosis pilaris. It’s a build up of keratin that plugs the opening of the hair follicle on your skin.
Hey love, I actually mentioned varying causes in the video applying to this. All the reasons a person might have this vary for sure.
BeautifulBrwnBabyDol you sure did! People can't wait to comment before watching the video, just based off the title. Thanks for the tips.
Thank you. It’s 💯 genetics and has nothing to do with shaving!!
I have keratosis pilaris and that’s not keratosis pilaris, or maybe I have just it on my arms and a bit on my back
No it’s not. Otherwise your skin would be bumpy.
Soak legs 15min in warm water
Use a brown sugar diy exfoliator
Deep pore cleansing mask
Shavor (replace blades every 2 weeks)
Cold water to seal legs

I am 58....I wish I would've known this a long time ago...I have followed this for about a month now and my legs are so smooth, they have never been so nice. thank you so so much!!! i actually feel normal now! 😀😀😀
I’ve used all of her tips and although i still have strawberry legs, it’s not as noticeable as before. I think exfoliating is key! I’m so grateful for her and this helpful video!!! 💕
Do you exfoliate daily?
Try using amlactin 15% lactic works wonders also dermarolling but it’s not a lot of research on legs but it does reduce the appearance of kp so it’s worth a try
I got rid of mine because of your video!!!!! Since I was young I thought they were permanent..thank you thank you God Bless You🥰🥰🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I’m African and I always lived in italy.
🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
Odo Black Do you use Palmers cocoa butter lotion, or 100% cocoa butter?
I notice when i go to africa my skin looks much better as well.
hi everyone ,if anyone else needs to find out about how to treat keratosis pilaris try HootKen.xyz ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my co-worker got cool success with it.
Odo Black hello what cocoa butter do you use ?
Ive had them since I was a kid.

I’m super white so mine legit look like strawberry skin
I’ve never shaved my legs and I’ve had keratosis pilarus or “strawberry legs” for as long as I can remember I always exfoliate with a shower pouf and use medicated lotion the medicated lotion I use has help reduce texture of the bumps but I still have the discoloration
Same! I dont shave and idk how to get rid of them. Smh they look so ugly
What’s the lotion?

It’s gone! I’ve lived with it since I was a teen (am 30!) so there’s hope x
not everyone can afford that js.
How much did you have to pay? Im thinking about getting it on the back of my thighs.
thank youuuuu!!!! I hate my strawberry skin
DO NOT hate your body at all. Keep loving on it.
Brave me too.. 😔 always have

Growing up when I asked my mom about why my legs looked like this, she said I had “chicken skin”🤣
I think in spanish is actually called dat instead of straberry skin lol
I had those for most of my life. I decided to try something I could do everyday. I just switched from a soft washcloth to a very thin rough one. Every day in the shower I scrub thoroughly with that rough washcloth and then I moisturize with an organic body lotion while my skin is still damp. In two weeks my skin was smooth and the dark pores only come back when I don’t moisturize and exfoliate regularly.
Patrice is yours genetic
If you don’t mind me asking, what organic body lotion do you use?
Queen Tina I am not loyal to any particular brand and I should have said natural because I don’t always buy organic. I do have a long list of ingredients I try to avoid, and I sometimes check the ewg scores before I buy. Right now I have Eminence Organics Stone Crop Body Lotion, EO Lavender body lotion and Alaffia everyday shea in Lavender.
jill mont A year later but I will answer anyway. Yes it is. My mother and younger sister have the same problem.
I’m gonna try this I just need to get the aloe Vera gel
I’ve always had “strawberry legs”! I never knew the cause. I just assumed it was the hair follicle darkened. Also, my legs lighten up in the cooler months w no sun so I thought all of that combined was the cause. Good to know! Thanks!
"We got 2 special guests in da house.....DEM LEGGGGGSS!" 😂😂
J Bella 😂😂😂😂
I tried the brown sugar recipe and it really did help. Thanks!
Did it works really?
@@eskimadam8589 she literally said that it worked, why do you ask again?
Thank you from a white girl. Been trying to figure out what’s up with these recent spots on my legs. So thankful there’s something I can do about it! Was worried it was just another terrible symptom of aging. I’m in the not so fun 40s. Thanks for including natural / diy options too!
It is a vitamin A deficiency. Best way to fix is lower sugar/carbs bc it blocks Cut A receptors and consume foods high in Vit A.
I hope to see progress since summer is coming up and it’ll soon be short season, thank you for making this video 🥺🥺
idk lmao did it work??
oof
Hey Nina I hardly comment but I just wanted to say that i really appreciate your energy and your content. I find that you have a really healthy relationship to your body and soul and I really look up to you. 😊 ❤
Hey! Here's a suggestion as well: please do a vlog on Turkish baths/ Korean baths. Each have a version of a traditional body scrub that removes dead skin. 🌹🌹🌹
if you go in a circular motion it can cause your hair to grow in different directions and cause ingrown hairs. So don't exfoliate in a circular motion, but in a up and down way.
Catch me doing this all summer 😭 I absolutely DESPISE my strawberry legs. Thanks for this hopefully it works
Did it work
Did it work??
@@tianal2538 honestly i havent been using this exact technique but i exfoliate very thoroughly every 2-3 days and make sure to keep my skin very moisturized and being consistent with that has helped the dots be a little less noticeable and my legs are pretty smooth and not bumpy
Idk how this video got so many dislikes 🙄 it’s so clean clear mand soothing
Dear washing sharp things using hot water degrades their sharpness. One of the reasons why in medical field we don't put our sharp equipment in hot machine/water we just soak them using sydex/betadine.
So should we use that too?🤔🙄
Yes!! And this is why the doctor has her very own playlist folder. You r the BOMB!!
I wish I could have smooth flawless skin 😭😭
U can , by subliminals
I am literally watching this in 2020 but I’m obsessed w this beautiful woman!!!!
I have strawberry legs! I hate the summer bc every girl be wearing shorts and I’m just in jeans😔🥺
I’m so insecure of my legs.

i’m mixed and i can get VERY tan so when i’m getting tan it’s A LOT more visual and i’ve been covering my body a lot more because school and i haven’t been getting tan so THANK YOU FOR THIS i’ve been struggling with strawberry legs for soooo longggg
girl, you put in WORK into these videos and you can really tell.
We have two special guest! Hilarious. Thank you Dr. Nina.
HA! No problem!
I‘ve never seen leg skin that smooth I‘m seriously impressed
I'm from the middle East and I'm light skinned but my hair is thick and black so you can see my strayberrie legs&arms from like a mile away. My friend said she thought I had blackheads on my legs.... After being super insecure about it I decided to laser the hair away permanently. I have my first treatment this week. I hope I can finally be comfortable in my own skin soon.

Yes!
I have followed these instructions for six weeks and it's worked effectively I saw a difference after two weeks
Thank you for the advice! Honestly, I've had them since I was a kid like many others and will definitely give this method a try. You are a goddess inside and out, thank you for encouraging us to be our best selves no matter what, spirituality, mentally, emotionally and physically.
I use rice flour (rough) followed with a good moisturiser. Working miracles.
Please share in detail
"Yall know I'm country" yes girl, yes we are! NC girl in the house :)
I’m so happy to have found you!!
I appreciate this video but, "strawberry legs" or "chicken skin" isn't dirt buildup. Some people's skin over-produces keratin that builds up around the hair follicle, called keratosis pilaris, which I have, it can be maintained, but no "cure"
it depends on the person .. it may not be dirt build up for you but for others it is
Karen Taloute what ur describing is kp and are bumps that are underneath the skin
Coconut oil b4 shaving, pure silk shaving cream, mild soap, shave upward on outside legs as hair grows that way,way cold water
I have strawberry legs
Nothing wrong with that!
Dorito Legs 🤣
I notice when I get my legs waxed, my pores shrink snd my legs look smoother.
I’m excited to try these techniques & remedies so my skin looks smooth & moisturized. Thanks 🙏🏼
Tbh I actually like my strawberry legs I’ve always had them and I never shaved my legs. It just makes me feel different and helps me with confidence

What has been a game changer for me is a pumice stone and Vaseline afterwards
You are really good at what you do. Easy to listen to, you held my attention through the entire video. I also learned a great deal. I have horribly dry skin over my entire body. You have really good content. I subbed and rang the bell. Have a blessed day. Keep doing what you are doing.
Exfoliating has helps me a lot in just achieving soft legs but my hair grows so thick that it makes my pores look big so I opted for laser therapy and it has helped the look of my legs so much, I feel it has been the only thing that has actually helped me.
OMG I always just thought that’s how my legs and arms were suppose to look!! Thks for this video, gonna try these tips to transform my skin SMH LOL
We are ALL built so different!
I have it on my legs but not my arms, so weird 😂
Did it work?
Update ?
Symone did the video work for you, also were yours genetic or from shaving
I'm Caucasian, and my strawberry legs are awful! Thx so much for your vid. Hope everyone has supermodel legs soon! x
I just LOVE you!! Thanks for talking about this - glad it’s not just me
YES! I have been looking for this video from you. Yaaassss do you not understand how grateful I am.
SIS you literally thought of EVERYTHING thank you!!
Strawberry legs sounds so nice and cute. I always called it chicken skin!
+1
I don't know what it is about you, but this is the first video I'm watching from you and when I clicked on it i just fell in love with your energy and your mood and how funny you are. Keep it up !! New subscriber (:
I ain't never knew there was a thing called strawberry legs. I've always thought they were called leg pimples lmao but I been prone to strawberry legs ever since I was in middle school and i had no clue how I got them since I don't shave but I'm hoping this video help my legs out! 😭
Shave with the same direction as ur hair
Put on oil coconutoil before shaving cream
Rinse ur raiser with hot water to maintain its sharpness
Ok!!!! Enough is enough. How are you doing this? Every single time I google something, you post a video on it. I was just researching this a couple of days ago.
stoutjunt2008 lol it may be SEO optimization. It basically ranks your videos in searches at the top.

I definitely have always had this since I remember starting shaving my legs at 13. Thanks girl!
god I'm 50% Southern Italian and I swear I thought I was the only one who shaved and immediately had this issue. Thank you!
Can Dry brushing also help with exfoliation of the legs?
If you decide to shave is also fine, rememeber to only shave on dark and visible hair and never go any more further than that on fine hair, unless many dark terminal hair are starting to grow among it.
after years of having this I’m just now realizing I have this
YES THANK YOU! Im a pale Mexican and because of my genetics I have thick hair that is super noticeable on my pale skin. I will definitely try this!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I had a guy tell me he loved my “chicken skin” I had never heard that term but now “strawberry”
