I’m sorry to say but the kwek-kwek you bought was not freshly cooked. I highly suggest if you are in Manila, please visit Binondo or the Oldest Chinatown in the world. But if you’re in Cebu, you can go to IL Corso or Sugbu Mercado in IT Park. They have a lot of good street foods which are safe to eat and delicious 🤤
Eating Kwek Kwek in Binondo is like going to Italy to eat Hawaian Pizza or Japan to eat corned beef. Kwek Kwek is something you can eat in the slums or poverty stricken areas. Why eat kwek kwek in Binondo or Cebu?
thats why philippines is one of the best place to go if you wanna go to a nice vacation, its cheap, they make delicious food and most people like 80% of them speaks english.
In some stalls, you can request for your kwek kwek to be re-fried so you can get that crunchy batter. The one you ate probably has been cooked for a while and got cold already.
im a filipino but be very careful on trying streetfoods... your gut may not be used to the microorganisms, it may be ok to some filipinos coz they get immune of it. take care
Aww man, you got the wrong type of kwek-kwek, the very real good one, is suppose to be a boiled chicken egg with orange batter, and when they fry it IT SHOULD be crispy despite being, soaked in sauces.
