V1. Righteousness is more valuable to the Lord than wealth . Money is not everything. V3. If you don't put God first , you will embrace foolishness and face its consequences. V17. Help the poor and lend to the Lord. The king of kings will pay you back himself. V18. Discipline is a form of love because you want your children to better and not to be mediocre. V20. A wise person is a lifelong learner, continously learning and improving himself. V24. If you are too lazy , you won't accomplish anything even if you are given everything.
Absolutely amazing chapter! So much wealth of knowledge. I loved the lessons for wives in this chapter, a nice reminder to not be an endless drip and be a prudent wife instead. Also, the emphasis on kindness in this chapter really spoke to me. Another part I loved and didn't actually realise was scripture was v18 "Discipline your son while there is hope; don't set your heart on being the cause of his death", I think a lot of people like to play to cool parent these days and there is a huge lack of discipline. It's great to see that even the bible points out exactly what will happen if we don't discipline our children and set them up on the right path for life. Thanks for the study. Loved this one. xx
I can attest to this! My parents gave up discipline me when I was like 13. I became an alcoholic and was always in trouble with the law (nothing serious) for years. Yes it was what I chose to do but part of me thinks if they could have disciplined me or handled it differently maybe I wouldn’t have walked that long long long path. I’m two years sober at 31 years old.

I am just so grateful to God you are hear to guide us. With everything going on in the World and with a lot of people staying home or at least I am there isn’t much to look forward to but now I am always up and ready for your words of encouragement and the Bible Studies. I always feel so much closer to God. Thank you for everything you do and I hope you never stop.

I guess we want Him to reach down and stop us? Or change the situation? Like when our earthly children get mad at us when we punish them. THEY misbehaved but they are angry about the punishment . V 11 wisdom yields patience V17 love this verse and 18
