In this video we talk about the value of the Shure MV7, and I explain why the Shure MV7 may not be the right microphone for you.. Although this mic is a great mic.. it does require a bit more skill with EQ to setup correctly.. At the end of the day the choice is up to you.. but consider this before buying. I've got the MV7 with the Shure A7WS Windscreen and it's pretty good. Bought mine for like ~$220 USD.

    So i actually went with the Samson Q2U and love it, $80 dynamic microphone that from the info you just shared in this video I am assuming is on the dark spectrum, only notice popping in my discord when using their audio encoder.

    • @TheFranswahStudio
      @TheFranswahStudio  2 роки тому +1

      That popping is actually a DSP related issue. Check out my recent video to resolve it.. ua-cam.com/video/Gb-PsrIVChY/v-deo.html

    I just watched a podcast from someone who always used SM7Bs, this time he had a setup with a couple of millionaires making a total of 5 guests. I was half way into the podcast when I noticed the mics he was using, it were all SM57s and I kid you not, the sound was as good as always.

    btw the design of the capsule out side of dynamic vs condenser style is what affect the darkness as well the houses and grill design

    Nice video! And I agree, it is overpriced.
    I have this microphone, bought it impulsively too lmao And I've never been satisfied with its sound.

    How about just learning how to not over emphasize on certain sounds when talking like singers do and you won't need a pop filter. I learned this years ago and I'm not even a pro at anything.

    • @TheFranswahStudio
      @TheFranswahStudio  2 роки тому +1

      We're talking about asking the average user to instead of buy something thats been promised to them as a perfect mic for $250 to buy it and then figure out they have to learn how to speak in order to remove plosives without even knowing what a plosive is.. this expectation is unrealistic.. especially when a pop filter resolves the problem

    • @KaraokeDuov2
      @KaraokeDuov2 2 роки тому

      @@TheFranswahStudio I get that. I mean for me, I'd love something close just for music recording. Lower priced decent mics are out there. What I'd love to see a filter for are for those who pop there tongue from the roof of there mouth each time they begin a sentence.

    How can you give a review and say it's overpriced if you not using the XLR. The way it was intended.

    • @TheFranswahStudio
      @TheFranswahStudio  2 роки тому

      its an xlr and usb mic.. can say the only difference is the power. still produces a very similar sound. doesnt change my review at all.

      @@TheFranswahStudio But you never had it hooked up to an xlr during the review so how do you know the sound is the same.

    • @TheFranswahStudio
      @TheFranswahStudio  2 роки тому

      @@pettycarl haha because its the same mic.. the difference with the xlr is the power and the processing that comes with an interface.. however.. it doesnt change the microphones build.. the power adjusts the sound faintly but effectively is the same mic. I currently use the XLR with no noticeable difference on the sound.
