Well, I had the problem, (the router slowed down to zero speed) followed your video, and fixed it. Thank you. Cost me $10. Back in business!
I hoped that would help someone one day.
Thank you very much! Just I needed.
Nice to see someone actually repairing a tool instead of just tossing it and buying another one!
Thanks for sharing! This saved the day!!
Thanks
I hope my machine having the same fault . Before sometimes working and now not at all working
I hope it works for you. My router eventually broke and I could not fix it.
@@carolinaworkshop7091 If you still have it the power switch can get full of junk and stop it from having a solid connection. Try cleaning that out.
What size is the screw to take off top motor
Did it get very hot? I just got one and it seems the motor is toast before I even got to use it.
Mine was in a router table so I cant say yes or no but the brushes are small and any heat from them should not go to the outside of the router.
@@carolinaworkshop7091 Thanks. I returned it. I think people buy, use, and return these before the 90 day return period runs out.. So they burn them out for 3 months and then return it...
what if i changed the brushes and it still loses power with no load, just as you described... what would be next?
Sorry to hear that. I think there is a common issue with the switch. Maybe the routers turning off and on?
Smell coming out?
