Minecraft Tutorial - Building With Vanilla Commands
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 січ 2016
- Today I teach you how to take advantage of the building commands built into vanilla Minecraft since 1.8. With these you can massively speed up your creative building and spend less time doing tedious, repetitive tasks. Automatically fill in large areas, clone your builds, replace specific blocks with others, and just generally improve your entire building process! The main commands we'll be looking at are SetBlock, Clone and Fill. All three of them have their uses, and we'll even be looking at the less obvious uses of each.

After 3 years I play Minecraft this is probably the most useful, time-saving, well explained video about game tips for massive and creative building. Excellent job!
Maybe the most understandable and informative tutorial ive ever watched.. one year later lol
can you do a part 2 but with minecraft chocolate commands?

If you want to use a block up in the air just use
/up 0
This command will set a block beneath your character, but know that it will be glass and not any other block. You can place a block and break the glass.
No other video I have found on YT thus far has been as easy to understand nor as helpful as this. I wish you had a series of these videos explaining how to use all the commands available on minecraft. Thx for the tutorial. GG 😊
The replacing certain blocks helped so much! Thanks for sharing!
Nice tutorial! Understandable, very well edited and interesting! You are great! Keep it up! :-)
This video really helped me. Good job Muriako
This is literally the prefect video, great job and thank you so much, this is exactly what I was looking for
This was very helpful and informative.

@Faris Shokry THANK YOU
That was a little bit much for me since I just started to dabble with creative mode but this is very useful, thank you.
Also, your voice and pronunciation do helps~
Thank you for this video. This is going to save me so much time (and mouse clicks) for testing out builds 😊
Fantastic tutorial! I learned exactly what I needed. Thank you very much. ^_^
This helps so much thank you ^-^ Is there a tutorial for the more advanced vanilla minecraft commands?
Classic mojang, implement useful commands but makes them too complicated to be useful or efficient.
This video was so helpful!!! Thx so much!!!

Very helpful because im a mcpe player and these commands are so cool with my command block mod im making. Thanks for making this clear :)
/kill @e[type=!Player] would make it so you didn't die. good video mur :D
+Squizls aka Dave Yeah, there are a few details like that I skipped over if I didn't think they were necessary, didn't want to ramble on too long. :p
Also, ./gamerule KeepInventory true helps if you prefer killing yourself & Respawning at a place rather than moving.
you said it will always northwest and positive coordinates for cloning but arent positive coordinates northeast?
bruh thank you this is informative asl, even a few years later
This is super helpful, thank you so much!!!!
This was exactly what i needed!!!
I'm still a noob at commands in minecraft and this helped me a lot! I could easily understand Thank you! It helped me so much!
OMG THX SO MUCH IV'E ALWAYS WONDERED HOW THEISE THINGS WORK THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!
you can do "/gamerule doweathercycle" to set the weather to permanent like you will never have rain ever again unless you set it back to true

Geez, Wil E Coyote... you are a super genius. I can't do all that without a degree from MIT! I'm a small brain, but I truly enjoyed the video.
You are a great UA-camr liked and subbed!!

is there a way for the command Clone where you can clone an object but rotate whatever you clone lets say a house?
will mobspawning effect custom npc's?
So there's no way to rotate a cloned area? I'd love to be able to just build a quarter of a symmetrical build and then fill the rest in by copying and rotating it.
Love the Soul Reaver skin
ok, but how to rotate? like my build which i cloned looking at north, and i want paste it looking at east
How to quickly make it a heart or other shape or double a maze like in biggening
Thank you!
How do I disable opening objects so I can put a block or sign over them like workbench grind-stone sawmill so that It wont open?
I’m trying to do the leaf trick like the beginning of the video but when I put “keep” or “replace” it says error
could you tell how should we select the quantity of blocks for 'fill' comand
It was very helpful, thank you
How do we clone the block we are looking at on xbox
Does this work world wide? Cause I have a house I built in a single player world and I don’t want to take another 2 hours to replicate it in another world.
Now with structure blocks you can in java minecraft versions from 1. 8 +!? 🤔 ~~~
Thanks Your the best
Thanks a lot
COOL THANKS
What was the command to break the leaves after filling them in the beginning of the vid
Unless you go out of your way to make them non-decaying leaves any that are more than a few blocks away from a log block should decay naturally, you just need to break one to trigger the block updates and get the process started. You can speed that process up, as I did in that clip, by increasing the random tick rate of the game using the "/gamerule randomTickSpeed #". The default value is 3, but you can crank that up to say 3000 to make it go 1000x faster and then turn it back down afterwards.
I wish their was a way to build more terrain and copy and paste builds simple and easy with one button
dang it the clone command dosent work anymore
Liked and subbed
can we use these commands in minecraft Java edition and pocket edition?
/fill and /clone Does not work ? can you help ?
this is confusing what do you mean by south east? you need to show yourself typing that and an example of it overriding it, not everyone is good at tech

is there a way to kill certain mobs? bc I am building something underground in an old server, I dont wanna kill everything, just the mobs in the caves
If you want to kill everything of a certain type you can use "/kill @e[type=_____]", so for example "/kill @e[type=creeper]" would kill every creeper that's loaded in the world.
You can also just kill everything within a certain radius, though I think the command varies between Java and Bedrock. To kill everything within 50 blocks on Java it would be like "/kill @e[type=!player, distance=..50]", and I believe Bedrock still uses the older style so it would be "/kill @e[type=!player, r=50]".
The "type=!player" is making it so you kill everything except yourself in that area, though be careful with that as it will also destroy item frames, armor stands, dropped items, etc. You could instead replace that with "type=creeper" (or any mob name) like mentioned above to target those specifically within that area.
Since you're on a server it may be safer to try the second way, killing things within a set radius, just to make sure you don't accidentally kill a mob someone else was keeping around.
how do you do that swirl thing at 9:04
You can also do /gamerule doWeatherCycle false
Cloning for the walls doesnt work for me at all, even a small square wont work just pops up error
cloning is pretty complicated and u should avoid it
Where do you get it?

Is there a version of this for a tablet (my kid wants to know how to fill in an area, for example)

can you rotate cloned builds?
With the commands shown here, no. Since this video was made they've introduced the "Structure Block" though, which is slightly more cumbersome to setup but allows for much more robust cloning, including the ability to rotate and mirror the builds. Unfortunately I've never really covered that myself, but I'm sure there are plenty of tutorials around on utilizing those blocks.
Haw to get commands
Can this work on phones
Tried the clone command before watching this and got rid of my skyscraper that took 8 hours to make 😦 needs to be a undo command

Is it possible to just set doMobSpawning false into a certain area? Hope to get a answer soon, because i can't find anything. :c
+Novaaa There is no way to just specify a certain area for a gamerule to affect, but it should be possible to get a similar effect with some command blocks. Unfortunately I've spent very little time with command blocks so there is most likely a much better solution than what I can give you so I'd still recommend posting somewhere with people who are more into that side of things, but for a very basic solution, if you can't find a better one, the following should work. Also keep in mind this solution is not quite the same as the game rule as this would prevent these mobs from being in the area at all, if they spawn outside of it and try to walk in they'd be removed.
Give yourself a command block (/give YourName command_block) and place it down somewhere. If you're on a server you may want to hide it in the bedrock at the bottom of the world either straight beneath the area you're checking or under the spawn chunks, just to prevent people from touching it. You'd want to set it to "Repeat", "Unconditional" and "Always Active" using the buttons on its interface and then paste this in the box at the top:
/tp @e[x=X,y=Y,z=Z,dx=DX,dy=DY,dz=DZ,type=TYPE] ~ ~-255 ~
Then you want to replace the capitalized letters. X, Y and Z are the starting coordinates of the cubic area you want to affect, the DX, DY and DZ are the dimensions of it, or how many blocks over it should extend. For example if you want to check the area from 10, 10, 10 in the world up to 30, 30, 30 you would change X/Y/Z each to 10 and then DX/DY/DZ all to 20, which would add up to 30 on all the coordinates. After that you'd change TYPE to the ID of the mob you want to remove, so something like Zombie, Skeleton or Cow and then it should be working.
Unfortunately there is no way to target all mobs at once without also targeting all other entities, which would mean any dropped items, boats, armor stands, etc would also be removed, which I assume would be a problem for you. This means that you will need to copy that line out of the command block and make a duplicate of it, changing the Type to each of the other mobs you want to remove. As far as I know there's no good, single command way around this, so if you want to remove all passive mobs as well you may need quite a few command blocks.
What this command is doing is teleporting the mobs down beneath the bedrock floor of the world, thus killing them automatically without leaving behind drops like they would if you just killed them when they entered. Do be careful if you do set these up as it's pretty easy to screw yourself over with them. If you were to even just change the capitalization of "type=" to "Type=", for example, it would not longer recognize the parameter and any entity, including a player, would be sent into the void if they entered the area. You may want to make sure your command blocks are outside of the range you're affecting just in case such a mistake is made and you need to change them, it's quite a hassle to fix them when you can't actually reach them.
Sorry that I don't have a more elegant solution for you, but command blocks are quite finicky and I know relatively little about them, so this is about the best that comes to mind.
O god thank you dude :D I will try it :)
The 2nd one did nothing
I still not understanding
How about for ipad
