Geek Psychology I’m not sure I’ve figured out a healthy way to deal with it. I only found out I’m an INFJ recently and I’m still learning and becoming aware of a lot of these things. Right now I’m trying to understand my Fe better as that’s also a very difficult and sometimes misunderstood function
Definitely would agree that Fe is misunderstood. A lot of NP's think it is shallow. But it is cool how INFJ can use it to be visionary in helping society. That's basically all I know about INFJ use of Fe. I like how he made Ni mystical and subconscious.
As a fellow INFJ, I feel like I've gone through this fear as well, and sometimes still do. But what has helped me is understanding that humanity (or individuals, but I like to refer to them as a whole), are generally not as fragile as I like to make them out to be. I'm ginger, wanting to avoid conflict or damaging others with my potentially wrong insights. But that's not giving people credit for their strength, as well as not putting their reactions to me as THEIR responsibility/burden, not mine. As an unhealthy INFJ, I took on everyone's burdens as my own, and that left them with no responsibility or accountability for their own actions, including reactions. I've also had more time to learn to trust my gut instincts/insight; I can generally gauge the level of accuracy now by how it feels. Before I figured all of this out though, I was a hot mess. I reacted to the fear by just keeping my mouth shut and being eaten inside from guilt. Also felt like I had tainted my moral compass. It was a complicated mixture of emotions tbh, lol.
In many cases in the occult, in Tarot, in spiritual alchemy, and in Taijitu ( Chinese Yin-Yang), yes, intuition is associated with water, Yin, Shadow, the unconscious, and the cups suit, as well as the moon, and the feminine essense, i.e. the divine feminine. (Note that all people have both masculine and feminine essense or attributes).
I really relate with being physically close to water allowing me to guess and imagine. Shower time is definitely where I problem solve. However, I have a critical question. Why would I emerge from my metaphorical water you speak of if it is where I am comfortable? I personally seem to have a very unpleasant time in your restricted world of concrete things.
Being an INFJ is definitely like water. Water can be easily manipulated when still yet impossible to manipulate when moving therefore it can be corrupted when polluted with bad things or people but when clean and clear it's the very best for you; therefore an unhealthy INFJ can be the scariest of all but a healthy one can be the purest of all.
Describing Ni as diving into the water is a good example. Then being in the Ni-Ti loop is like being in the water but the water's surface is frozen and it's hard to find an escape. No wonder my favorite Naruto Shippuden opening is 8 - Diver. Now that I think about it, it can be a good example of the Ni-Ti loop, how it feels, and how you can get out of it through Fe.
Sherman, these videos are amazing! I'm INFJ, and I really appreciate metaphorical representations of cognitive functions. My particular type of nerdy is the superhero kind (no doubt, I came across your channel first by watching the INFJ Superman video). Would you consider doing a video (or series) giving each of the 16 types a unique superpower?
I think that's a big project that I can't get into right now tbh. Baby, real job, certification, etc :( But I've thought a lot about superhero variants for this stuff and it's always something that whispers in the back of my mind for me to explore it more :P Sorry to let ya down!

when I was younger I knew I was different psychic but because of my religion they said it was wrong so I kind of lost it and I have neck and back surgery I felt like it took some of my power away I am trying to get it back thank you for helping me to understand
Fun fact: In Naruto world the 5 elements have this relationship which highly make sense . Earth > Water > Fire > Wind > Lightning > Earth Si grounds Ne just like electricity gets lost in the earth. Ni confuses and drowns Se just like water extinguish the flames. And so on. Eager to see how you'll type the judging functions, try to make the elements closer to the standards. Like no plasma or algi elements please :D
Yeah most of the combinations don't make sense, except wood being earth and water. I wonder if the functions can combine like the elements. Someone should come up with a chart *cough* Sherman *cough* ..
Oh cool! I never watched Naruto, but I know bits and pieces of it. I don't even know if I'm gonna do the Judging functions now tbh... Because they're rational, it feels like they wouldn't be an element, but more like a method or way of using the element... Maybe that's just me though :D

The part about being open to things kinda got me, I feel like I´m more open to ideas rather than life changes, and also, If I´m learning something new, I find that I´m open to all kinds of information, then they start to take a form and I start cutting down stuff that I don´t see as useful, sort of like trying to build a perfect model of what that thing is. Also that part about the enneagram, was it the 1? because I kinda get a little bit of that, never thought of it as Ni, just being 1w9 Anyway man, great video as always, and keep up the good work!! One of the most valuable lessons Kung Fu has taught me is that no matter for how long you´ve done a movement, or a form, you can always learn from it, the moment you believe to know everything it the moment you shut yourself to growth, not because you actually know everything, but because you believe yourself to. That´s pretty much how I see the 1s ideal of perfection, I´ll never reach perfection, but it´s a direction, I keep striving towards it, being a bit more mature now I rather accept the dark parts of me, rather than denying or pushing them down, I´m a human being, we all have good and evil inside of us, and we can always grow, be stronger and become better people.
I'd say out of the choices you gave for Si, gravity is a better choice for Se. Se can be more related to force, gravity, pressure, magnetism, etc. Si is more about Earthiness, homeostasis, being in touch with the body, aesthetics, the relation between objects in space (including pieces of an artistic design one is observing, pieces of one's own body, pieces of one's immediate environment, and so on) which can be known and understood through comfort, etc. Comfort is a good choice for Si.

Taking time to make the best content you can is completely understandable. Have you tried looking into epic story telling, that with help with the story telling aspect. In terms of characters ummm I don't know if they would be Enfjs but i alwways related to Storm, Magneto and Naruto (The character) growing up.
As an INFJ I'm always making an organized web out of my thoughts, and I assess how certain I can be of something before I integrate it.. if I cannot be very certain of something, it goes near the outside of the web, so that if it turns out to be wrong, it can be easily discarded and doesn't mess with too many other ideas. If something vital turns out to be wrong, a kind of contamination does take place in the sense that I need to reevaluate / restructure my conceptual web.

Okay we need a new water hero! I think water is perfect as a iN myself. Mostly infp it seems but still working it out in, your know, the ocean :)

Ironic, i'm an intj but i hate the thought of drowning/ being in a pool of water.
Drowning is scary. I personally hate the ocean. Love the beach though lol.
