I love the simplicity of this. I've never thought about making an actual backdrop. I can't wait to see how you use this project. I typically record anywhere, but I'm actually redoing my office to have a backdrop. Great job.

This is so creative and budget friendly! I haven’t had the need for a backdrop but I’ll definitely try this out as opposed to buying one. Thanks for sharing! 🥰

I have used a backdrop. I really like the idea of it. I go back and forth between this and a natural setting. I like this inexpensive setup.
Thanks!
Love this! I definitely going to make this and also use it as a backdrop for my treat tables when I do special events. Thanks so much for sharing this, this will help me out a lot!

My sister has a party company so anytime I need a backdrop, I use hers. But now because of you I can make my own. Thank you for showing and sharing!

I needed a second back drop at the last minute. Your video saved the day.
Nice! Thanks for watching!
This looks so easy to set up! I definitely wanna use different backgrounds in my videos! It'll give it a different feeling and set the mood!😌❤️💕😄
Thank you!
Perfect video tutorial 👍🏾👍🏾 Thank you 🙏🏾 🙂
thanks so much! glad you enjoyed it!
This is a great way to make backdrops. I’ve done this to create diffusers. PVC piping is cheap and easy to maneuver.
And I typically don’t use a backdrop for my UA-cam videos.
Yea, i thought it would be cool to be able to switch up the backdrops! Thanks for watching!
Awesome! Thank you. I’m making some kind of backdrop thats collapsible for some music stuff. Again, thanks. Great video.
What I have been looking for💜💜💜💜.... Thanks a lot for this
Cool! Glad you enjoyed this!! Thanks for watching!
Yeeess...when I get the chance, I want to try this. I been marking up these walls improvising and stuff lol
Amiga no hablo ingles pero entendi perfectamente la explicacion. Excelente. Gracias. Felicitaciones 👍

Great diy!
Thank you!
I've never thought about building my own backdrop stand but this doesn't look hard at all! I may have to try this out myself.
Thanks for watching
Loved it❤❤❤
Thank you!
Simple enough, thank you!
Np! Thanks for watching!😃
Thank you so much I'm so happy I found your page I will be making one or 2 for our sons 5th birthday party in April
Awesome!! Glad you found this video helpful!😃
This was so helpful!
Glad you enjoyed it😊
This was so creative I don’t use a backdrop I don’t have the space at the moment. But I’m fixed a room in my house as a office space so I’m going to use that
Great Job !!
Thank you!
Genius 👏🏼
Thank you!
You are so creatieve , I wish I had space to do one myself , for now Im using the bathroom curtains lol
I've been struggling searching for a stand but the ones I get are very expensive so I resulted in using a plain wall and a back light. Thanks for sharing this
Ahh I only have one wall in my house where there’s enough space to have filming equipment...if I move a table lol
This is a great alternative for an inexpensive backdrop stand! Do you use a backdrop for your youtube videos? See how my backdrop holds up two years later! Here's my current UA-cam Studio ua-cam.com/video/IPODgdGYo58/v-deo.html
no but I need one especially now that its getting darker earlier and I film in my room and can't rely on natural lighting! I can't wait to move out to have more space to store things like this but you did a really good job I am proud of you!
I have tried some backdrops before but I just stick with a more natural setting. So you will see usually some photographs behind me. Have you switched up your backdrops any?
Awesome! Thank you
Np! Glad you enjoyed
Thanks for good idea 😘
No problem 😊
This came out great girl. And very affordable. 😂🤣 I'm not a plumber took me out. I've been thinking more & more about using a backdrop for my sit down videos.
Lol I didn’t know if people would catch that!😂😂 Thanks girl! Yea, I just wanted something different!
This is a great alternative to the one I have now and your way is def less expensive. How often often do you use?
This is great and so easy! Getting filming equipment can get pricey fast.
Thanks! Yes, I would rather spend my money on a nice camera and lighting and save in areas where I can diy!
Runs to home depot to get some PVC 🏃🏽♀️ lol. I have been supposed to go buy some for a few DIY projects. Adding a backdrop to the list. Thanks.
May have to make me one of these. Ty!
Girl, I think you have already saved my job 🤣🤣🤣
Nice!!
Just made one for my son’s first birthday! Figured investing one rather than renting it since I have 2 kids.
Thanks for the video tutorial 😊
Nice! Thanks for watching!
This is such a brilliant idea and you make it look so easy. I am definitely trying this , thanks! Love your flooring btw
Thanks so much! 😊
Your home is sooo pretty.. I know it was a backdrop video but still 😍
Thank you!🥰
Very nice set up. And you made it look easy too, it would definitely take me more than 10 minutes 😅
Thanks! Haha
I have a few simple backdrops that I have not used! Lol! I need to!
Thank you!!!❤
“I’m not a plumber” 😹 but gurl you are getting..I think that I may have to try this forreal forreal so that I can switch it up a bit. Love this!💙💗
Lol I didn’t know if anyone would catch that!😂😂 Thanks Shay!
Thank you for showing how to make this. I want to make one for my sons 10 year class reunion so the young adults can use it for photos. I still don’t know what I want or they want for colors. Balloons or flowers or what. UA-cam has been very helpful with ideas.
Thank you!😊
No problem!
Love it! Thank you so much! Do you think it would work with 10ft bars as opposed to 5 ft? Has anyone tried that?
Not sure! You might have to have some type of support in the middle since it would be much longer…
GOAT !
Haha thanks
This is a great video alternative if you don’t want to spend a lot of money. Love how budgeting this is. I don’t use a backdrop.
Thanks!
This tutorial came on time because I’m planning to do it on my son s 8 th birthday.
DIG IT!!!
Glad you like!
Hey babe love this and I’m making it today! I would update the materials in the description because they don’t at ALL match what you actually used 😝 but that’s okay I picked it up from the video. Just a tip 😊
Hi thanks! Didnt even notice that and its been 2 years lol I updated!
That’s really cool. Have you used it yet? Did it fall over?
Thanks. Yes, I’ve been using it for the past three years. I have only taken it down to move it to another room, it’s still standing and has never fell
What if I want a wider backdrop? More than 5ft? Could I just swap the middle rod: for longer ones?Or would it be too heavy?
I’m not really sure. You might have to make the legs on the bottom wider to support the extra weight at the top.
How sturdy is this backdrops do you know how much weight it can hold
Hey Gabrielle! How are you and the family? Anyways more power to you building your stand I would been frustrated lol . Respect ✊ Who taught you how to build things? Was you self taught?
I actually found a video on UA-cam to help me lol
I love that you put the elbows on the bottom a lot of people don’t and there not as sturdy in my opinion
Yeah! I didn’t want my backdrop falling over! lol thanks for watching!
@@GabrielleIshell thank you for taking time out of your day to respond 😊
Alright Miss Bob the builder!! Go ahead with your bad self!! I love It!! Thanks for sharing!!
Lol 😂😂 Thanks girl!!
How tall does it come out to or how big of back drop will it hold
nice vid
thank you!
We were going to purchase a backdrop stand but this looks sturdy. Is is sturdy?
I think its pretty sturdy! I needed to buy a rubber hammer in order to take it apart and move it.
Does it come apart easy for travel?
Yes, you can use a rubber mallet to help take down.
would this be a 5x7 backdrop stand?
its about 5x6 1/2
My 1 inch 10ft pipes were like $9, the elbow were $2 & the tees were $4 or so. I had to get a cutter $24. Maybe because it is 2 yrs later but it was not cheap.
Why did you buy a cutter? They cut it for free at the store…
Is It hard to disassemble? (Take apart)
I used a rubber mallet to disassemble- makes it easy
How hard/easy is this to disassemble? I feel like you had to push the pieces together with some "oomph". I was thinking of making one to use in 2 different venues.
I got a rubber mallet from lowes to help dissassemble - makes it super easy. Not sure if I would be able to take it apart without it
WhTs the total cost for all the pipes and accessories
How do you attach the backdrop to the stand?
You can slide it through the top pipe. I also bought these clips to hold it up amzn.to/3B5XxdN
How tall is your backdrop? Width? Height?
I may have missed it in the video but is this 8x10?
Its 5x5!
