Oh man, the YEET is just awful. It's overly exaggerated and needlessly violent. It's hard to even take seriously because the way Tohru landed head first into shallow water should've either killed her or likely left her permanently paralyzed from a spinal cord injury. Unfortunately, it ruined the episode for me a bit. The reboot has a bad habit of over-dramatizing certain scenes (I'm looking at you Akito and Ren).
For the umbrella scene, sharing an umbrella is often seen as a romantic gesture in Japan. I think that could also be part of the reason why Kyo was so embarrassed about Tohru wanting to hold his umbrella.

I agree with you about the umbrella. I don't believe Kyo is being misogynistic at all. I think it has more to do with the romantic association of the gesture. I also don't think Kyo saying he wouldn't fight a girl is because he thinks of then as "weaker". For me it always seemed like it has more to do with the fact he is too respect to raise a hand to a woman

Thanks for sharing! I didn’t know that. That really adds a clearer context to what Kyo most likely meant. I know I’m not the only one who took what he said the wrong way as I’ve seen others mention it. Unfortunately, his comments don’t translate well in the dub at least since he relates a girl holding an umbrella for him as him being weak. It’s so easy to take that the wrong way. But it makes more sense that he’d just be embarrassed to be seen doing something romantic with Tohru. Because Kyo is so sweet, how could he ever put women down? I’m so glad this proves he’s not like that 🥺

I more believe he doesn’t want to fight girls because he doesn’t want to hurt them. That’s more in character for him. 😁

#MissMady, you're so sweet. I love your content because it's so amazing, and I really enjoy watching your videos. It's just really hard for me to focus on them without looking at you because I'm so distracted by your beauty. You leave me breathless whenever I see your pretty face and hear your calming voice. You have the prettiest eyes that I've ever seen. You are so beautiful, and I really have a crush on you.

I actually didn't mind Kureno and Arisa's relationship. Because if he was going to get together with her as a minor, he would have right away after he was leaving Akito, but no he did wait till she graduated. Which I like. Also don't mind Katsuya, and Kyoko, because both these couples love each other. They never like tried to do stuff to the other person while they were young.
One thing I hate is not having more Machi and Yuki interactions. That's why I enjoy Yuki and Kakeru more. Because of the lack of interactions it just felt like Machi was just there. But, Yuki and Kakeru had so many moments are them growing towards each other. Telling each other stuff that Yuki never tells Machi.
I also do not like that the anime cut it short at the end, because there were so many moment in the manga that ties the ending together. Such as Hiro and Akito interacting after the curse had broken, leading to Kureno getting stabbed, and Akito visiting Tohru. Arisa and Saki telling Kyo off in the hospital, which leads to Yuki fighting Kyo, instead of him just doing it in the anime. And so many more.
