Raven is such a difficult fight (especially in Hard NG+). She can literally two or even one shot you even at max cores. The first time fighting Providence drove me insane too, couldn’t beat it for ages! I didn’t have burst skill the first play-through (got the true ending the first time) so was incredibly tough. I don’t know what difficulty you did it on either (guessing story mode) but normal on my first play-through you only have a minute for the final phase. Would imagine it’s the same or less for Normal/Hard NG+
I played it on normal my first time and didn’t get this ending lol so I didn’t fight Providence or anything I fought Adam which actually was a cool boss but yeah hard NG+ ALOT of things can 2 or 3 hit you if you don’t have like any defensive gear.
you must collect everything 100% and do the special mission lily gives you before you go to the spire and chooose to take adams hand. Thats how you get the true ending.
I got the secret ending on my first playthrough. Speed running the game now to get the bad ending. Please don't tell me Lily is dead. I saw part of the bad ending where she got zapped and clicked off because I didn't want to see the rest. I'm going to get the good ending in my third playthrough
Who says that is the "true" ending? To my knowledge the game developers have not said which one is the true ending. Here's my 2c: as much as people want the "happy" ending to be the "true" one, think of it from a gameplay perspective. How exactly is a sequel going to work if Eve now has the power of a God, and can literally take on an entire army of combat focused designed androids all by herself without breaking a sweat? How would it work playing with Eve like that in a sequel? Then you also have to consider her demon feet that she has after merging with Adam. How is customisation going to work in a sequel when Eve has these ugly looking beastly daughter of satan looking feet and legs? (I HATE the way this transformation looks from her legs down. I really don't know what the developers were thinking). Then you have to consider Eve's entire dialogue with Adam right before the game asks you to make a choice between taking Adam's hand or not. If we look at Eve's dialogue right before the game asks you to make a choice it is blatantly obvious that Eve is adamantly against Adam's proposition to "merge" with him. Given Eve's attitude, demeanour, and dialogue RIGHT before the game hands the choice over to the player it feels EXTREMELY out of place that Eve would suddenly be like "screw it, let's merge". It makes absolutely no sense when taking into consideration the dialogue scene prior to the game asking you to make a choice. Not to mention that Lilly is absolutely against the idea of Eve merging with Adam, and for me at least, Lilly has always basically been the voice of reason of the group, so if she thinks something is a bad idea I'm inclined to listen to her. Also, how is this going to work in the story going forward with Eve now having the power the of a God basically? If she is the start of a "new" human race does that mean her offspring is going to have God-like powers? How is that going to look for the world depicted in the game if there is an entire world of Gods running around eventually? And how are her offspring going to look? Top part of the body human-like and lower part of the body demon-like, (like Eve after the transformation when she merges with Adam)? Neither of the endings where Eve transforms into uber Eve make any sense if we are to believe a sequel will be made. UNLESS, the plan is to have the player play as a new character in the sequel, possibly a 8th generation "Eve", (since the Eve in this game is a 7th generation one), where Mother Sphere sends you off to take down Eve, who then becomes the main villain of the second game, but then the character finds out that Eve is not the villain after all and turns against Mother Sphere at the end of the game etc. etc. This would ultimately be a bad move in my honest opinion, because players have gotten invested in Eve. We should get at least one more game where we play as her. By the third game they can have us play as a new character. I believe the "Return to the Colony" ending (the one where Eve does not merge with Adam) is the canon ending. It's the only ending that makes sense for a possible sequel, and it's the only ending that makes sense given Eve's dialogue with Adam prior to the game asking you to make a choice.
Calm down. It's just a game with multiple endings, and yes that's the "good" ending, cuz any other one would mean Xion's destruction. If you don't get the blatantly obvious Adam, and Eve aspect of the game or willingly ignored the game telling you mother sphere was evil the entire time, well I don't think you'll enjoy the sequel that's definitely coming.
This story is so much better than people give it credit for. They have a potential whole untapped universe to build on here.
