I loved the points he made especially when he wished the trial had been televised and recorded and used across universities as an educational piece; to dispel the false notion that victims behave - a certain type of way - . I agree with him, would’ve been an excellent tool to actually help us better understand each another.

@@tommas2674You are clearly very uneducated on what goes on with a trauma specialist. Don't give advice on such a serious topic when you aren't qualified to do so. It is statistically proven to dramatically improve symptoms of PTSD to receive care from a trauma specialist. That is science, that is factual, that is easily verified if you bothered to actually fact check your bs. Lives are saved every day by trauma informed and specialized care, my own included. When you have flashbacks multiple times a day, when you have daily, extreme panic attacks that make you feel like you are LITERALLY going to die, when you have become entirely homebound and are isolating yourself from everyone that you know, when you have constant physical symptoms of your mental torment, when you have a plan and a date set for when you are going to end it all, when you tell yourself as a way to soothe yourself that if it gets any worse then you will just end things now... Getting care is a lifesaving measure. It isn't rehashing or dwelling. It is finding someone equipped with the tools to help you and slowly seeing the world go from shades of grey to color again. I guess you won't care about the danger and holding platforms responsible until it's someone you love that gets hurt. You better hope your daughter, mother, sister or any woman you care about uses social media or dating apps because I foresee something very bad happening to them so you will learn your lesson about how to care more about people than greedy corporations. Personally I feel sorry for any woman in your circle since it will likely be them who reaps what you're sowing. Will you care then? Will you care when it's your daughter who turns up dead because she went on a date with a guy she met online who was turned in by multiple others as a predator to the site but they refused to do anything about it? Will you still blame the victim then and say there was nothing the website could have done to protect your daughter? Are you really willing to sacrifice your own daughter to ensure the profit of some company? What a wonderful person you are, wonderful enough that I'm praying that whatever retribution God gives you for being a greedy heartless person doesn't come back on the people in your life. Personally I would rather see it happen to you instead of them, unfortunately I get the impression that you would rather it happen to them so you can continue to sit on your high horse and dictate how victims should feel. People like you who simp for predators are disgusting and should be put on a watchlist. If you care more about profit than people, you are no better than this serial r@pist. Perhaps that's the case, perhaps the truth is you're just like him and platforms removing predators using their platforms as a hunting ground for victims will effect you and how many women you're ultimately able to assault. You tell me why else would you go out of your way to alleviate the platforms of any responsibility for providing predators with not only a way to find victims but maintaining the predators access to the site? That's basically what you're saying, that predators have a right to use platforms to find victims, that those platforms have a right to ignore that those predators are using their platforms if it's in the best interest of profit but women don't have the right to be safe and not get assaulted. A better way to describe it is that a rapist became a doctor. He would have had sexually paraphilic urges and fantasies as well as a deeply rooted lack of respect for women and pleasure from having power and control over them before he got into medical school. His job granted him easy access. Most women would have trusted and felt honoured going on a date with a respected cardiologist. He used that title to his advantage. He had a God complex and figured he was so important he could get away with it. He was right…until his last victim. I teach my daughter that she should never be afraid to tell me if something is wrong despite even if it may be embarrassing. I feel so sorry for the pain the victims felt and the misguided self-prescribed shame they may of felt. I applaud the one woman so much for having the courage to hold this creep to account.

I wish judges would say that, for every violent offence - the criminal will have to pay restitution to the victims by DEFAULT. This means, any money they earn inside will be given to the victims. Being inside and have no shop just makes things a whole lot worse for them.
