Some people are dreaming of a crazy life in LA or Dubai. I’m dreaming of a nice cottage house in the English countryside. Canterbury, Cotswolds, Towcester, Buckingham… Cities like Oxford, Birmingham, Wolverhampton*, Nottingham*, and Liverpool* are amazing!!! I have friends and family over there* and when I was visited them… ohhh😍🥳🤩 What a place Britain is… I love it (and the weather too!) from North to South it’s beautiful!
I live in Canterbury and I can say it’s beautiful! However the general high street is collapsing and we have lost some big department store like Debenhams and Nasons. The city has so much history though it’s unbelievable!
Nasons closure was not a surprise to me but still very sad . UK high streets are just going down . Love Canterbury and would love to live there but can't afford to , health care worker and the rents are way above my means . Beautiful city and I catch a train in when I can . My local high street is named as one of the 10 worst in the UK 😶 And it's true . Think we are actually in the bottom 5 🤔
Excellent video! We were lucky, as American tourists, to take a full day trip from London with the “London Walks” group to visit there several years ago. The guide organized our train tickets, walked with us into the city and cathedral and we had time for our own exploration as well. Your video showed the great variety of historical architecture and the lively atmosphere of an active city, which is not just a tourist site. Inside the Cathedral, we were invited to view a 30 minute ceremony that was led by the current Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams. Listening to his beautiful booming voice inside the Cathedral was an unexpected treat! Canterbury, like Winchester, Salisbury, Durham and York, are well worth the visit! Thanks again for your great videos - so helpful to visitors!
Thanks for taking me home. I went to school at The Langton and my ancestors come from Canterbury. My forebears are buried in the cathedral and one of them was archbishop Bourchier. I Loved this.
This city is beautiful and fascinating ... Canterbury has captured my heart, I hope so much who knows one day, have the opportunity to visit, in the meantime I am content to see it virtually, thank you so much 💖💖
Well you did it once again!! Beautiful. Hopefully when the Covid is just a sad memory you will go back and show us the beautiful cathedral. Thank you for making my Saturday a special day. Hugs and blessings.

That green door makes me want to go through. But oh my! You only get coffee & walnut cake like that in Britain. I used to bring home loads when I visited. I loved the video, but all I can think of right now is that cake…

Super video! Always nice to see Canterbury videos. I lived in Canterbury for 18 mos while on a Fulbright Teaching Exchange from the US, and the Kings School was my assignment! My house number, hanging by the front door, was purchased from Canterbury Pottery in the Butter Market. Going back next week to visit friends I made during that time. I was born and bred in Canterbury , now I live in Spain I was showing my Students this video to show them where I am from . Pity you didn't visit in May/June to show of the west gate gardens in full bloom and when the river is clear from rain wash and looks crystal clear . I must say I am now home sick after watching this . I would also say that Canterbury is changing and becoming busier and the traffic is horrendous most days . Canterbury also has 2 train stations and a extensive bus station that you can use to visit most places in the region . Restaurants galore and many pubs bars and is most defiantly very trendy place to go . With links to Whitstable on the coast it is a very good base to sight see the region. I could talk all day about my Home of Canterbury , I feel very fortunate to of spent 40 years of my life there and although my body is not there my heart certainly remains imbedded in and woven into the beautiful City . I miss you
Thank you very much for the excellent video. Cantrerbury will be one of the first places I will go next summer if the covid restrictions do not continue. I am amazed.

Very Nice whistle-stop tour in my area nice to see you here, Canterbury is great, when having lunch at Weavers my friend was complaining about a fly in her wine i threw it into the water and below a punt guide shouted can you put it in a glass next time please. Love traveling with you on you tube. I have relatives who live in England from my uncle and late sister-in-law. They are all so beautiful. I love all the small villages.
Covid has taken it's toll on lovely Canterbury, many businesses have struggled or closed but the beauty remains. Hot tip, The Veg Box is a great vegetarian spot to have lunch...
I have never visited Canterbury, don't know why. I knew it was picturesque, but I didn't realise how architecturally interesting it is. Thanks for sharing this great tour of the city. New friend in The New Forest :)
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
I live near Canterbury in ramsgate. You should do a video of the Thanet area and places like sandwich which are stunning. I go to the cathedral all the time as we have free passes. But I have not yet been on the river and not properly looked at Canterbury’s architecture. I will do next time I visit when it’s warmer and more enjoyable to be outside longer xx

Have a great time!
What a great video it really cheered me up on a dark Sunday afternoon 🙏
Thank you Graham glad that it did!
Wonderful video and narration 😊👍♥️
Thank you
A really well made video ( I used to be a pro filmmaker). Good camera work, narrative and music. I must visit Canterbury again one day.
Ah thank you for say that, very kind Paula. We hope you do make the trip, it will be a wonderful day out!
Covid has taken it's toll on lovely Canterbury, many businesses have struggled or closed but the beauty remains. Hot tip, The Veg Box is a great vegetarian spot to have lunch...
Yes like many towns and cities, hopefully people will come back and things will pick up. Thank you for the suggestion.
I am obsessed with this channel! This video is a perfect example of your great work and I’m planning my next trip to the Uk accordingly.
Thank you much, very kind.
Great video! Informative editing and beautiful footage.
I have never visited Canterbury, don't know why. I knew it was picturesque, but I didn't realise how architecturally interesting it is. Thanks for sharing this great tour of the city. New friend in The New Forest :)
Hello hope you make the trip at some point well worth it! Great day out, welcome thank you for joining us!
Super, thank you!! Beautiful!
Many thanks!!
One of your best ivebeen there but didn't see a lot of what you filmed
Glad we could show you something new.
Дякую вам за прекрасну екскурсію. Яке красиве старовинне місто. Райони вздовж річки нагадують Брюгге.
Lindo Canterbury! Amo passear lá ❤
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Thank you for joining us in the trips.
Just excellent! Thank you.
Thanks for watching 😀
I live near Canterbury in ramsgate. You should do a video of the Thanet area and places like sandwich which are stunning. I go to the cathedral all the time as we have free passes. But I have not yet been on the river and not properly looked at Canterbury’s architecture. I will do next time I visit when it’s warmer and more enjoyable to be outside longer xx
Thank you for the suggestions, we will add them to our list 😊 let’s hope the weather picks up soon!
