Believe in what you want but don't be assholes in my comment section alright? Don't force people to change or call them names for believing in something you don't. Chill.

Actually, Buddhism and Jainism are the only 2 religions that do not believe in God. They may be related or one being inspired by another one. The action of creating itself is caused by desires. Now, lets assume that this God exists. He has desires (hence the reason for creating).....then how can such an entity grant anyone an eternal bliss or Nirvana? When this type of God himself is not free from desires, then how can an ordinary person be free from desires, which is cause of suffering? If a desireful God exists, then it completely contradicts and defeats the whole concept/purpose of Nirvana. This is the reason why "God" (Creator) does not exist. Either you believe in Nirvana/Salvation (free from all desires) OR you believe in Creator God (not free from desires). You can not believe in both together because they contradict one another.

To me Buddhism is a the highest form of psychology, philosophy/theology and morality! In the Mahayana tradition we were told that even if we devote our "entire life" we cannot study all of the recorded Buddhist sutras, we were taught to dive into few important sutras and learn as much as possible plus meditate so we can unveil the innate wisdom within each of us which is beyond our mind and intellect, it's difficult to grasp the depth and wisdom of what Buddha taught for 50 yrs compared to (Jesus taught only 3yrs), Buddhism is strictly not a religion but a method for humans to evolve to the next level, pure wisdom, awareness and love, very in line with modern Science and quantum physics!

Roman Catholic here. Just wanted to say your heart is locked from the inside; nor I nor GOD or anyone else for that matter can unlock it. Only you hold the key to your heart. Be open to the truth and seek not power and you will find freedom. This being said; what you have said surprisingly sounds like Christianity, although Jesus taught for 33 years not just 3 and still after his resurrection on earth.

    • @TheTrueNicklose
      @TheTrueNicklose 3 роки тому +1

To Salvador's point, Jesus taught for His entire life (and also healed and performed miracles). If we want to focus strictly on the teaching side of his ministry, we must not forget the prophets who came before Jesus though were guided in part by God, nor can we forget that God continues to teach His Church and is present in our daily lives.
The same which you stated also applies to Christianity. Even if devote your entire lives to theology and religion, you won't fully store the wealth of wisdom the Church provides: wisdom from God, wisdom from the Church, wisdom from the Saints, wisdom from each other.

@Jocelan, glad to hear your perspective as a Buddhist of China. You are absolutely right, the teachings of Buddha is vast. He lived and taught for 45 years after attaining enlightenment. I am a Theravada Buddhist from Bangladesh. Our Tripitaka is at least 20 times the size of Bible. I believe Mahayana version is just as big. It's very difficult to find inconsistency or scientific error in the vast text of Tripitaka. Bible is full of scientific errors, like how the world was created by so called God while hovering over water, as if oceans are not part of the world.

Hi @Chris Stols , I understand you are speaking in the point of view of a Christian, I would apologize if there is some offending terms I have spoken, but I have to disagree with you, if you will study it honestly the salvation in Jewish concept is very different from the NT writers' concept of salvation, the concept of hell is strange in Jewish theology. The trinity was only later formulated by the Catholic or Romans and Geek theologians.
Messiah is very different from Christianity's Messiah, I suggest you to study more on Jewish theology without judgment first and you will be enlightened.
Or seek out some educational videos about the difference between Christianity and Judaism..
There is also a video available with Rabbi Michael Skobac "The chasm between Christianity and Judaism". I suggest you to study the difference with an open mind and open heart ready to accept the truth. Hope you find the truth and blessings.

Buddhism teaches how to overcome suffering. Christianity glorifies it. Christianity idealizes the virtues of compassion, wisdom, diligence, patience, generosity - yet doesn’t teach you how to develop them. Buddhism also idealizes these self same virtues AND teaches you how to develop them.

    • @TheTrueNicklose
      @TheTrueNicklose 3 роки тому +14

It isn't the suffering that is glorified, but rather God and by association us, through it. Do we not rejoice when our friends triumph against their sorrows? We too rejoice in the greatest triumph, the triumph over death itself. When we suffer, we remember that God is with us and loves us, and that no amount of suffering is greater than the joys of Heaven and the peace of God. Because of this, we place our hope in God and we go to God in our sufferings, we fight our suffering, and in the end when we triumph, it glorifies God.
The main point of Christianity isn't morality as you may think, but rather to know God, love God, and serve God. Yet even still, your claim that Christianity doesn't teach you to develop these virtues is baseless. Christianity has existed over thousands of years and before it, Judaism has existed even longer to build that foundation. God reveals Himself and saves us, while the Church points to God and helps us reach the heights of Heaven. So, as a counterargument to your claim that the Church does not help you develop virtues, I point to the practice of spiritual direction, Renconciliation, the Holy Bible, priests, our brothers and sisters, church programs, parents, priests, the Christ and the saints who have made the example, priests, monks, friars, religious sisters, nuns, godparents, books, letters, encyclicals, et cetera. I guarantee you, if you looked up how to develop those virtues on the Internet, Christian sources will be abundant.

You develop these virtues by faith in Christ Jesus who died for our sins on the cross. When you truly believe that He has paid the price of death for our sins and overcome death, your relationship with sin is broken and you start to live and think more like Jesus. Jesus lived and died suffering for us because He loves us, therefore we are obligated to live by the faith and the spirit and not flesh.

    • @truth8307
      @truth8307 3 роки тому +6

@@brian5619 it's found to be fake with these evidence, especially no.1,2,3,4:
20 IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE that proved Bible God is likely FAKE, don't miss the last paragraph that explains them all:
      1) A creator god claimed to be all mighty should be the oldest and only religion but all the pagans, Greek, Chinese, Hinduism religions existed earlier. This proved their Creator claim fake.
      2) Jesus similarities with Buddha. Maya to Mary, miracle pregnancy to virgin pregnancy, birth during a journey home to from on water, Gautama left the palace at age 29 and Jesus appeared at 29, Gautama became Buddha at 35 and Jesus died and resurrected at around 35, Buddha had a big meal while Jesus had a last supper before they died, after they passed away, 500 arahants witnessed compilation of Buddha's teachings and over 500 witnesses to Jesus's resurrection etc. All coincidental ? Beside Buddha, Jesus was also found to be copied from other figures. Surely they can't be ALL coincidental.
      3) Many of the Bible's mythologies was copied from older pagans, Greek, Egyptian or Hinduism religions(note the names too) E.g. Adam & Eve from Atman and Jiva, in Hinduism, big flood and survivor Noah/3 sons same as Manu/3 daughters although cause of flood is different. Even the names of Abraham and wife/sister Sarah close to Brahma and Saraswathi beside having quite similar story. Regardless of which religion copied which, it proved this god is NOT the only true god or all mighty as it doesn't makes sense for an ALMIGHTY GOD to create or allow more copies or religions.
      4) Why should a true all mighty and all knowing God allowed their people to branch off and kill their parent religion Judaism or Zoroatruism ? "Free will" as an excuse is not acceptable as earlier they claimed their God killed all people with a big flood(without freewill) because they sinned.
      5) The way they collect tithings during Sunday mass is so tricky. They know people will be shy not to pay or tend to pay more when others could be watching. This is why they don't just use a stationed money box like Buddhism, Hinduism or Chinese temples where people can donate anytime. Catholics and Islam made it even bigger by suggesting donation of a certain percentage of their income.
      6) The Bible condemned non-followers, clearly mentioned in Mark's words 16:16. Why should a Creator God's religion condemn non-believers when in the first place, they claimed their God created the world? Isn't this like playing both sides of the same coin, both good and evil ?
7)Not knowing why or how the world exists don't mean that it was created by a god. Now "Creator" idea got stale, they use "Intelligent Design" What is so intelligent in its design? If people don't need to go to toilet and don't have unpleasant feelings or sufferings, then I will call it an intelligent design.
8)Wisdom, mindfulness and meditaion are not taught or encouraged by them because they don't want their followers' minds to be clearer and wiser.
9)The Bible copied very much from older religions but not the theory of karma because karma idea defeats the purpose of the all mighty God and it will prevent people from doing bad deeds. Saying God love or forgive sins is a trick playing both sides of the coin.
      10) If there is a loving God, why are there Christian babies born with disease or innocent children being abused or died young ?
      11) It don't makes sense to claim that only their believers will go to heaven and others don't since they claimed their God created all people. Such claim is an insult to other religions and cultures and caused people to divide. A good religion should be non-sectarian, secular and treat all people equally.
12)Most major festivals and holidays related to Christianity are fake including Christmas(Jesus can't be born in winter), Easter, Thanksgiving, Good Friday, All Souls, Halloween and even New Year are copied from paganism.
      13) Using fear like hell or "end of the world" every 2 years but we are still here.
      14) The fraud case of Mother Teresa(Google it) and after she died, those money she collected was not returned to India.
15)If their God is all-mighty, why need missionaries to convert others ?
      16) The ongoing child sex abuses committed by the pastors/priests that I read so often.
      17) The Bible is full of lust(Solomon's part), evil and violence. Their God killed countless people when Satan only killed a few.
      18) The Bible condemned dogs because they know dogs are man's best friend. Making men lonely is the best way to keep them dependant on religion.
      19) If God created everybody, why then condemn LGBT or other religions ?
      20) Incidents, eg: (a) Covid-19 highest fatalities rate countries are all highly religious, 500K Americans alone !! (b)The Air Asia plane crash of 2019 killed 41 church members, 2 missionaries and their few month old baby. (c) spree killings happened inside a church.
Only 1 reason can tie up all 20 points above, this God was man-made to con or control people.

@@edgarallanjoe5482 It'd be more appropriate to call Tibetan Buddhism, Lamaism, where not unlike Judeo-Christianity, the priesthood has an inordinate amount of power, and they wield it rather haphazardly. The guru/disciple dynamic, especially in the Occident, is more of a narcissist/sycophant relationship. Eastern mysticism has been packaged and sold in the West, ever since at least the 60s, and the majority of Westerners are too unfamiliar with Eastern mysticism that those gurus can easily swindle them, obfuscating The Way or positing shortcuts toward enlightenment, e.g. Vajrayana, where foundational development is all but disregarded in the name of expediency, which inevitably leads people down the wrong path, adopting wrong views, where focus is placed more on the energetic, i.e. tantric, aspects. (Buddha warned, and even reprimanded a few of his disciples for getting too attached to bliss, or flaunting their spiritual powers, i.e. siddhis. Remember, the most important siddhi is ridding one self of suffering.)
Shambhala again borrows from the Judeo-Christian mythos by establishing their very own eschatology, which has very little to do with what the Buddha had said in the actual Dharma.
The Dalai Lama has committed one of the five cardinal sins (i.e. causing division in the Sangha) with that entire Dhorje-Shugden controversy. It's common knowledge that he was (is?) pay-rolled by US CIA, ergo making him an asset. He's basically become the posterchild for Buddhism in the West, but in actuality he's mostly a blathering idiot. He never says much of anything in regards to Buddhism, but rather rattles off buzzwords like "compassion", "meditation", "karma", etc., promoting this Shambhala scam. He's a meat-eater which is explicitly forbidden in more than a few sutras (including the Lankavatara of which an entire chapter is dedicated). His favorite dish is actual veal, which is pretty hardcore even for people who eat meat.
There are more reasons, but those are just a few off the top of my head.

Alicia Modica Buddha Miracles Supernatural abilities
Buddha said 500 BC. "I am the only one who can save them from their delusion and misery."
Buddha was the only teacher who did not claim to be other than a human being, pure and simple. Other teachers were either god or a incarnation of a god in different forms or inspired by God. The did miracles, like walking on water, bringing back the dead, healing the sick, flying in the sky, walking through walls, reading people’s minds, coming back from the dead supernatural abilities, Buddha did all these things 500 years before Christ.
Again in all these instance is, the Buddha only employ to his supernatural powers to help human beings achieve their emancipation. He specifically instructed all of his monks to refrain from resorting to miracles simply to impress the gullible, remarking that this was like employing a dancing girl to lure men into a room.
The highest skill of Buddhism is cause-and-effect and cause and condition. Say good words, do good deeds, think good thoughts. And purifying their minds through practicing meditation . One of Buddhist supernatural abilities are Taking anger, hatred, resentment, egoism, clinging to material things, turning it into love and compassion. The five precepts of Buddhism we must train ourselves 1. Not to kill. 2. Not to steal 3. Not commit adultery. 4. Not to lie, harmful speech, nonsense talk. 5. Not to cloud your mind with drugs or alcohol.
Not because fear of a God or gods or judgment day that will be burned in hell and be destroyed. That would take away from the true religious value, of the five precepts.
The Buddha said ; man can do his best deeds without any motives, if there is a motive and has no true religious value. If any buddy would claim that Buddha was a God or incarnation of a God that would take the religious value away from Buddhism. Not a angel, or God, can become a Buddha !!! A Man and only a man can become a Buddha
The Buddha was not only a human being ; he claimed NO inspiration from any god or external power either. He attribute all his realization, attainments and achievements to human endeavor and human intelligence. We can call the Buddha, a man per excellence. He was so perfect in his humanness that he came to be regarded later the popular religion as a “SUPERHUMAN .” When you let go of all your anger hatred and resentment take refuge in the Buddha the Dharma and the Sangha. Amitabha Buddha bless you

      Buddha last words
Make of yourself a light. Rely upon yourself: do not depend upon anyone else. Make my teachings your light. Rely upon them: do not depend upon any other teaching.
My disciples, my last moment has come, but do not forget that death is only the end of physicial body. The body was born from parents and was nourished by food; just as evitable are sickness and death.
But the true Buddha is not a human body; it is Enlightment. A human body must die, but the Wisdom of Enlightment will exist forever in the truth of the Dharma, and in the practice of the Dharama. He who sees merely my body does not truly see me. Only he who accepts my teaching truly sees me the Buddha.

    • @truth8307
      @truth8307 3 роки тому

@Kartik Sarode why ? Buddhism have nothing found to be illogical, fake, bad, wrong or not practical. For Christianity, check these 20 evidence especially the first 4:
20 IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE that proved Bible God is likely FAKE, don't miss the last paragraph that explains them all:
      1) A creator god claimed to be all mighty should be the oldest and only religion but all the pagans, Greek, Chinese, Hinduism religions existed earlier. This proved their Creator claim fake.
      2) Jesus similarities with Buddha. Maya to Mary, miracle pregnancy to virgin pregnancy, birth during a journey home to from home, prophesied soon after birth, both had a disciple who betrayed them, walked on water, Gautama left the palace at age 29 and Jesus appeared at 29, Gautama became Buddha at 35 and Jesus died and resurrected at around 35 too, Buddha had a big meal while Jesus had a last supper before they died, after they passed away, 500 arahants witnessed compilation of Buddha's teachings and over 500 witnesses to Jesus's resurrection etc.

Do Buddhists Believe in God? -- by Kusala Bhikshu
(A talk given at a high school in Los Angeles.)
Why is it... The Buddha never talked about the One God of the desert, the Judeo-Christian God? Does this mean that all Buddhists are atheists and don’t believe in God? Did the Buddha believe in God?
These are some of the questions I would like to try and answer today.
The Buddha was born 500 years before Christ, in what is now Nepal. His dad was a king, his mom was a queen, and his dad wanted him to take over the family business (the kingdom) when he got older.
The kind of world the Buddha was born into was magical. Everything seemed to be alive. The trees, mountains, lakes, and sky were living and breathing with a variety of gods in charge. If you needed rain you asked one god, if you needed it to stop raining you asked another. The priests of India did all the religious work, and got paid for it.
In India at the time of the Buddha you became a priest if you were born into the right family, and not because of the school you went to, or the grades you got.
There were other kinds of religious people as well.
Mendicants were men who left their family, friends, and jobs to find the answers to life. They did not live in homes or apartments, but lived under trees and in caves, and would practice meditation all day long. They wanted to really be uncomfortable, so they could understand what suffering was all about.
Many kinds of meditation were practiced by these mendicants. In Tranquility Meditation for instance, you think about just one thing, like looking at a candle or saying a word over and over. When the mind becomes focused in oneness, you experience a great peacefulness.
Even if the mendicants were sitting in the rain on a cold day, they were still content. They found in their meditation practice the essence of happiness.
Renunciation is when you give up all the things that make your life pleasant. Sometimes the people with money and power in India would buy a lot of stuff to make themselves happy and their lives more comfortable, thinking that happiness and comfort depended on what they owned.
When the mendicants could see their own suffering clearly, after many years of renunciation, they understood that happiness was not dependent on the things they owned, but the kind of life they lived.
Even all the gods in India could not end the suffering of one human being.
At the age of 29, the Buddha stopped praying to the gods to end his suffering and the suffering of others. He left his family and friends, went to the edge of the forest, took off all his clothes and jewelry, covered his naked body with rags of cloth, cut off his hair and started to meditate.
He became a mendicant, and It took him six years of hard work and much suffering, but in the end he was able to stop his suffering forever (Nirvana) and help others stop their suffering as well.
Did the Buddha believe in God, the One God of the desert, the God of the Christians, Jews and Muslims?
Well... No... He didn't... Monotheism (only one God) was a foreign concept to the Buddha, his world was filled with many gods. The creator god Brahma being the most important one.
At the time of the Buddha, the only people practicing the religion of the One God of the desert, were the Jews. Remember, it was still 500 years before Christ came into the world.
The Buddha never left India. The Buddha walked from village to village... In his entire lifetime he never went any further than 200 miles from his birthplace.
The Buddha never met a Jew... And because of this, he never said anything about the One God of the desert.
There is also nothing in the teachings of the Buddha that suggest how to find God or worship the god's of India, although the Buddha himself was a theist (believed in gods), his teachings are non-theistic.
The Buddha was more concerned with the human condition: Birth, Sickness, Old age, and Death. The Buddhist path is about coming to a place of acceptance with these painful aspects of life, and not suffering through them.
Please be clear on this point... The Buddha is not thought of as a god in Buddhism and is not prayed to. He is looked up to and respected as a great teacher, in the same way we respect Abraham Lincoln as a great president.
He was a human being who found his perfection in Nirvana. Because of his Nirvana, the Buddha was perfectly moral, perfectly ethical, and ended his suffering forever.
Does that mean that every Buddhist in the world is an atheist?
No!!! I have met a lot of Buddhists who believe in God. I have met a lot of Buddhists who don’t believe in God... And a lot of Buddhists just don’t know.
All three points of view are OK if you’re Buddhist because the end of suffering is more important than God in Buddhism.
Sometimes a student will ask me how everything in this world got started... "If you don’t have God in Buddhism then who or what caused the universe?"
When the Buddha was asked how the world started, he kept silent. In the religion of Buddhism we don’t have a first cause, instead we have a never ending circle of birth and death. In this world and in all worlds, there are many beginnings and ends. The model of life used in Buddhism has no starting place... It just keeps going and going.
Now having said that... If you’re a Buddhist it’s OK to believe God was the first cause... It really doesn't go against the teachings of the Buddha, his focus was on suffering... It's also OK to believe science has the answer… Like the big bang theory, etc... Some Buddhist’s don’t even care how it all started, and that’s fine too. Knowing how the world started is not going to end your suffering, it’s just going to give you more stuff to think about.
I hope you can see that God is not what Buddhism is about... Suffering is... And if you want to believe in God, as some Buddhists do, I suppose it's OK. But, Buddhist's don't believe God can end suffering. Only the teaching's of the Buddha can help us end suffering through wisdom and the activity of compassion.
In his whole life and in all his teachings the Buddha never said anything about the One God of the desert.

gleb202 I think it does. Christianity teaches many important lessons that coincide with being a Buddhist. We are all connected spiritually and metaphysically. If you love your neighbour then that love will be paid back to you.

After all christianity is not made to achieve enlightment, its about to worship a god and its finsl goal is to reach heaven, nothing more. Buddhism is about something completely else. I dont find christian philosophy any attractive and useful.

So, we can't imagine Oh others' house be constructed as our own house.

  • @ladshawn4534
    @ladshawn4534 Рік тому +2

Here is the fundamental truth between both religions. In Buddhism as you had said in the video is about obtaining nirvana and your Karma does determined where you will live in the next life(Basically what you'll be reincarnated into) and of course in order to have good Karma you'll need to follow the eight fold path, and you'll understand the eight fold path when you understand the truth of suffering. Now in Christianity(Yes I am a Christian) we believe that there is only One Monothestic God who reveals his character through the 3 main attributes or as The Holy Bible calls it the GODHEAD Acts 17:29. And through this GODHEAD God has reveal himself through these attributes Holy Father, Holy Son, and Holy Spirit. When God gave The Ten Commandments also known as the Moral Law, it is to show the difference between right and wrong in GOD'S view; what is Moral and what is Immoral. And it is because of The Ten Commandments we are able to understand GOD'S Character more and more. Now what is the Gospel is that we have broken GOD'S LAW and beacuse of that we are guilty of our own sins and the only way to pay for it is through death. Romans 6:23 But because we are unholy beings we can not pay for the wages of sin, so the only way for the wages of sin to be paid is by sacrificing Holy Blood and that is where LORD JESUS CHRIST comes into play. Lord Jesus Christ pays for the wages of sin because he was sinless and has never committed any crime throughout his life. Because of Lord Jesus Christ death, we are able to live freely knowing that our sins has been paid for already through the death of a Loving Savior who was willing to sacrifice his own life for us. All we have to do now is to repent and be baptized in the name of the Holy Son for the remission of our sins Acts 2:38. And we are commanded to live morally every day no matter what Romans 12:2. And is what the Gospel is all about.
Now in Comparison and Contrasting, both Buddhists and Christians objectively know that there is a Right and a Wrong but the main difference is that in Buddhism there is no Salvation for sins and you are to constantly work everday in order to get a better life which is impossible due to how we human beings are wicked at heart. Now in Christianity there is Salvation and you don't have to work in order to get a better life because all of your sins are paid for already through the death of Lord Jesus Christ. Now I understand the philosophy of Buddhism and in Christiantiy we believe that every religion does hold some objective truth to their philosophy but these religions were started by men and therefore not everything in their philosophy is 100% Reliable and Accurate to reality. Majority of the philosophy in these religions are literally common sense but whenever the philosophy tries to go deeper it actually becomes very Subjective and thus not being able to tell the 100% Truth of Life. In Christianty our main source of Philosophy and Theology is in The Holy Bible which is GOD'S word. We know that it is GOD'S word because of the evidences that we have to know that is 100% Reliable and Accurate to reality, in order for a religion to be True it needs to be tested by the 4 main subjects of knowledge. Math, Literature, Science, and History. because the Holy Bible is passes the test we True Christians can confirm that The Holy Bible is 100% Truth to Life. And that is why not only am I a Christian but that is also why many people who claims to Christians holds to the teachings and commands of GOD'S WORD. AMEN🙏🤲

Abraham was older than Buddha, yet Jesus said unto them," Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." Abraham borned in 2150 BC (1500 years older than Buddha) and Buddha borned in 623 BC. Why then Jesus said he is older than Abraham? Jesus even going beyond Abraham. Adam was born around 4000 years ago (even older than Buddha by a great margin), yet Jesus said he existed even before Adam!!! Why so? The book of John chapter 1:3, recorded that, Jesus created " All things were made by him (Jesus Christ); and without him (Jesus Christ) was not any thing made that was made." If you wanted to talk about world history, this is the purest you can get.

For those Catholics complaining that God's name isn't Yahweh, here ya go:
In Hebrew the name of God is spelled YHWH. Since ancient Hebrew had no written vowels, it is uncertain how the name was pronounced originally, but there are records of the name in Greek, which did have written vowels. These records indicate that in all likelihood the name should be pronounced "Yahweh." Alternatively, his name is referred to as Jehovah and had appeared when Christian scholars took the consonants of Yahweh and pronounced it with the vowels of "Adonai".
So yes, his name IS YHWH (Yahweh) but you just simply didn't know that and call him God. It's not wrong, but don't try and correct me when you can't take 5 minutes to look it up.

Buddha last words Make of yourself a light.

I offer you the concept of grace. What if instead of during your second chance you're expected to get it right, during your second chance you were given the reward? For a Christian, the latter concept is similar. When we are in heaven, we and all the other saints will see and know ourselves and others fully and truly. Yet, we become so much more. We will shine with beauty like we've never seen on earth and will never again know need. Then every day for the rest of eternity, we get to participate in the deepest joy, peace, and love without having had to get our lives perfect.
Yes, we are offered numerous chances in life, but it isn't expected for us to be perfect, but rather to give our all.

The concept uses father and son in the actual explanation, dharmakaya being the father, sambhogakaya being the son, and the nirmanakayas being the holy ghost or action

The fundamental difference between Christianity and Buddhism is Christianity teaches you to be dependent on a God. Buddhism teaches you to be independent.

    • @truth8307
      @truth8307 3 роки тому +1

Another big difference is nothing in Buddhism have been found to be be wrong, illogical, fake or contradictory. In Christianity, I found these 20 evidence:

Depends. If a person doesn't know anything about God there's debate on what happens. When Catholics say "Outside of the church there's no salvation" they mean people who consciously rejected the church (which they see as the Roman church) when most of protestants say this they mean the invisible church. I've seen only some Calvinists having such position, so you're using one group to justify an argument against all. Doesn't make sense.

According to buddhism, universe is actually created by/thru the mind of buddha. Once you become a buddha u will be able to create ur own universe. So yes in a sense there is a supreme creator for THIS UNIVERSE, but there are countless universe outside of this one. Now 1 important thing is there is a universe called 'pureland' created by a buddha 'Namo Amitabah' and if you invoke his name constantly and intently with faith, you will be reborn into the pureland and continue ur spiritual practice there in a super-accelerated pace.

In Christianity, you can't get into heaven on your own, you need Jesus. In Buddhism, you can break the cycle and escape on your own. Buddhism looks like arrogance to me that you have the power to accomplish anything super natural on your own, and yet, Buddhism seems to encourage being humble and not arrogant. I have some more learning to do because when I die, I'll probably see a being beckoning me into the light and if Christianity is correct, everything's good. If Buddhism is correct, I should stay away from that light. These are 2 opposites over something extremely important.

You will recall a teaching from Matthew about knowing someone by their fruits. Religion is not that much different i actually had the privilege of living in Thailand for 6 years. I wasn't a missionary, I want to be clear on this, I wasn't part of any group I financed myself worked as a teacher and learned about the fruits of Buddhism through observation. I didn't interfere all I did was watch and learn. Buddhism on the surface teaches harmony, kindness and all those good things but whats interesting is how they use this teaching. They will show their generosity for the sake of a monks blessing or a temples even but once that blessing is given they will do the exact opposite. It's an interesting paradox but it puts scriptures like Matthew 7 in perspective. Christianity doesn't require us to be kind for anyone's approval except God. In fact Jesus taught to be kind in secret and God will reward. Let your acquaintances think the worst of you Gods approval is the only one you need. Then when they discover how you truly are in secret they will be baffled because then they are seeing your heart and that unlike them you don't care about appearances you only care about giving of yourself.

@@asgaiyawaya3973 So Buddhidm doesn't teach about doing good in private, too? That would make sense because it looks to me like Buddhism is all about a person having the power to save themselves, whereas Christianity requires a higher being, who can also see what you do in private.

Young man, research where Issa/yusuf came from and his lost years.
Christianity does believe in recantation - it was taken out of literature by Constantine/Rome.
He did not rise from the dead. When he was dead, he was dead. It was after 200yrs after his death did they added those passages and said he risen from death and was with his father (him and father are the same). Now you have Easter.

Sorry brother... you're wrong. Come to the real God and believe in Him and His Holy Son, Jesus Christ. He loves you.
God's name is Yahweh and He makes that point very clear when He tells Moses His name in the Torah! Muhammad is not from the line of Isaac and Yahweh also made that ver clear to Abraham that Isaac is who His covenant would be with. Muhammad is from Ishmael's lineage.
Allah is a generic term for "the god".
      EXODUS 3:14-16
14 God replied to Moses, “I am who i am.[d] Say this to the people of Israel: I am has sent me to you.” 15 God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh,[e] the God of your ancestors-the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob-has sent me to you.
      This is my eternal name,
my name to remember for all generations.
16 “Now go and call together all the elders of Israel. Tell them, ‘Yahweh, the God of your ancestors-the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob-has appeared to me...
      GENESIS 17:19-
19 But God replied, “No-Sarah, your wife, will give birth to a son for you. You will name him Isaac, and I will confirm my covenant with him and his descendants as an everlasting covenant. 20 As for Ishmael, I will bless him also, just as you have asked. I will make him extremely fruitful and multiply his descendants. He will become the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation. 21 BUT MY COVENANT WILL BE CONFIRMED WITH ISAAC, WHO WILL BE BORN TO YOU AND SARAH ABOUT THIS TIME NEXT YEAR."
God told Abraham that his wife, Sarah, would give birth to Isaac and that is who God's covenant would be through and it WOULD NOT BE THROUGH ISHMAEL.

LOL... why did you stop reading Isaiah 42 at verse 13? Is it because it goes on to say who the prophet really is?
      Isaiah 42:14
14 He will say, “I have long been silent; yes, I have restrained myself. But now, like a woman in labor, I will cry and groan and pant.
15 I will level the mountains and hills and blight all their greenery. I will turn the rivers into dry land and will dry up all the pools.
16 I WILL LEAD BLIND ISRAEL DOWN A NEW
PATH, GUIDING THEM ALONG AN UNFAMILIAR PATH, GUIDING THEM ALONG AN UNFAMILIAR WAY, WILL BRIGHTEN THE DARKNESS BEFORE THEM AND SMOOTH OUT THE ROAD AHEAD OF THEM. YES, I WILL INDEED DO THESE THINGS; I WILL NOT FORSAKE THEM.
Did Muhammad lead the Israelites? You don't need to use multiple verses to make a point. Just read ALL of that chapter and it becomes clear that the prophet is Jesus.

Your misquoting scripture. The Jewish leaders didn't ask John if he was the prophet. They asked John, "Are you the prophet WE ARE EXPECTING?". John was a prophet but not the one they were expecting in Deuteronomy 18. The one they were expecting in Deuteronomy 18 was an Israelite. Was Muhammad an Israelite?
Again, you quote only part of a verse to make your case.
      Deuteronomy 18:15
15 Moses continued, “THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL RAISE UP FOR YOU A PROPHET LIKE ME FROM AMONG YOUR FELLOW ISRAELITES. You must listen to him."
You are not listening to Him. Deuteronomy 18 also goes on to say in verses 17 through 20:
17 “Then the Lord said to me, ‘What they have said is right. 18 I will raise up a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell the people everything I command him. 19 I will personally deal with anyone who will not listen to the messages the prophet proclaims on my behalf. 20 But any prophet who falsely claims to speak in my name or who speaks in the name of another god must die.’
Again, Yahweh says that He will raise up a prophet from among their fellow Israelites. He also tells us what will happen to false prophets in verses 19 and 20. They will die. If Muhammad was a great prophet, why was Allah not able to save him from death by poisoning?

      From Bukhari's Hadith 3.786:
Narrated Anas bin Malik: A Jewess brought a poisoned (cooked) sheep for the Prophet who ate from it. She was brought to the Prophet and he was asked, "Shall we kill her?" He said, "No." I continued to see the effect of the poison on the palate of the mouth of Allah's Apostle.
      From Ibn Sa'd page 249:
Verily a Jewish woman presented poisoned (meat of) a she goat to the apostle of Allah. He took a piece form it, put it into his mouth, chewed it and threw it away. Then he said to the Companions: "Halt! Verily, its leg tells me that it is poisoned." Then he sent for the Jewish woman and asked her; "What induced you to do what you have done?" She replied, "I wanted to know if you are true; in that case Allah will surely inform you, and if you are a liar I shall relieve the people of you."
From Ibn Sa'd page 249: [different narrator]
The apostle of Allah and his companions ate from it. It (goat) said: "I am poisoned." He [Muhammad] said to his Companions, "Hold you hands! because it has informed me that it is poisoned!" They withdrew their hands, but Bishr Ibn al-Bara expired. The apostle of Allah sent for her (Jewess) and asked her, "What induced you to do what you have done?" She replied, "I wanted to know if you are a prophet, in that case it will not harm you and if you are a king, I shall relieve the people of you. He gave orders and she was put to death.
From Ibn Sa'd page 250: [different narrator]
Verily a woman of the Jews of Khaibar presented poisoned (meat of) goat to the apostle of Allah. The he recognized that it was poisoned, so he sent for her and asked her, "What induced you to do what you have done?" She replied, "I thought if you are a prophet, Allah will inform you, and if you are a pretender, I shall relieve people of you. When the apostle of Allah felt sick, he got himself "cupped".
From Ibn Sa'd pages 251, 252: [different narrator]
....When the apostle of Allah conquered Khaibar and he had peace of mind, Zaynab Bint al-Harith the brother of Marhab, who was the spouse of Sallam Ibn Mishkam, inquired, "Which part of the goat is liked by Muhammad?" They said, "The foreleg." Then she slaughtered one from her goats and roasted it (the meat). Then she wanted a poison which could not fail. .... The apostle of Allah took the foreleg, a piece of which he put into his mouth. Bishr took another bone and put it into his mouth. When the apostle of Allah ate one morsel of it Bishr ate his and other people also ate from it. Then the apostle of Allah said, "Hold back your hands! because this foreleg; ...informed me that it is poisoned. Thereupon Bishr said, "By Him who has made you great! I discovered it from the morsel I took. Nothing prevented me from emitting it out, but the idea that I did not like to make your food unrelishing. When you had eaten what was in your mouth I did not like to save my life after yours, and I also thought you would not have eaten it if there was something wrong.
Bishr did not rise form his seat but his color changed to that of "taylsan" (a green cloth)..........The apostle of Allah sent for Zaynab and said to her, "What induced you to do what you have done?" She replied, "You have done to my people what you have done. You have killed my father, my uncle and my husband, so I said to myself, "If you are a prophet, the foreleg will inform you; and others have said, "If you are a king we will get rid of you.""......
The apostle of Allah lived after this three years till in consequence of his pain he passed away. During his illness he used to say, "I did not cease to find the effect of the (poisoned) morsel, I took at Khaibar and I suffered several times (from its effect) but now I feel the hour has come of the cutting of my jugular vein."

Part of salvation is repentence. It's not a sin if you're gay but don't act on your feelings. If you do practice a gay lifestyle without repentence then you aren't saved because God knows your heart. When Jesus met sinners and forgave them, He alwasys sent them on their way telling them that they were forgiven and were to go and sin no more. That's the problem with homosexuality--non-repentence.

Christ / Jesus is Sun God whose disciples are Catholics whereas Buddha is also a disciple of Sun God. Protestants christians are followers of Buddhism. The symbol of Sun God is swastika and the same swastika is also the symbol of Buddhism.
In Surya(Sun) SU means follower and ARYA means dharma.
Therefore, Surya means follower of dharma. [dharma means the law which upholds and preserve the Cosmic law of life cycle on earth i.e., to Create, Nourish and Sustain the life on Earth].
Those who followed this dharma are knowns as dharmic.
Those people who were followers of the Sun God were known as Aryans meaning dharmic.
As aryans were dharmic people, they helped to preserve and sustain life on earth.
Aryans were the followers of Surya - The SUN God. Surya/Sun God's 1st name in Rig Veda is Mitra (a friend - without whom there cannot be any possibilty of life on earth) and by this name "Mithra" European and the world prayed and revered the Sun God and this mithra had 12 disciples(i.e., Zodiacs/ Rashis). The name of Mitra God was renamed as God Jesus by the Roman King Constantine to strengthen and fortify his reign. The story the of Jesus is again the same as he also had twelve disciples and their holi(pious) day is Sunday when catholic go to Church.
Jesus is new name of Mithra (Mitra) - the Sun God and Isha Masih was a buddhist monk.
Catholics pray to Jesus(the sun god).
Protestant protested catholics because they were fooled in the name of Jesus as they were follower of Isha Masih who was a buddhist monk.
Infact, in Buddhism, the swastika(symbol sun god of well being) is considered to symbolize the auspicious footprints of the Buddha. It is an aniconic symbol for the Buddha in many parts of Asia and a homologous with the dharma wheel. The shape symbolizes eternal cycling, a theme found in samsara doctrine of Buddhism. "Protestant Christian" were/are basically Buddha follower. Buddha
was also the follower of Sun God itself which is evident when we see the symbol of Buddhish is again "Swastika" - the symbol of Sun God.
Catholics celebrate the birth of a New Sun SOL INVICTUS - THE UNCONQUERED SUN
The Sun will “die” at midnight on December 21, but don’t panic, it will “rebirth” on midnight December 24. This occurs at the beginning of Winter every year Winter Solstice, “sun stood still”, and is considered the shortest day in the year in terms of hours of sunlight. It is a three-day period when the hours of daylight are at its shortest and the hours of night (darkness) are at its longest in terms of hours of sunlight. It is a three-day period when the hours of daylight are at its shortest and the hours of night (darkness) are at its longest.
25th December as Christmas(Celebration of Bada Din) when the daytime starts to grow, Swastika was their earlier
symbol found in almost all old churches. See the link below :-
The symbol of the Swastika and its 12,000-year-old history | Ancient Origins
    www.ancient-origins.net › symbol...
Catholics say that Jesus is the savior of humaity and swastika was their initial symbol which was changed to Cross because they say Jesus/Sun died on 21st of december and again took a new birth on 25th of december "start of longer daytime/ bada din.
Therefore, Christian symbol is Cross as they believe that Sun (Jesus) God was crucified on 21st for 3 days and resurrected on 25th December i.e., Birth of the new Sun and that they celebrate Chritmas i.e., beginning of longee day time.
In the same fashion Red Cross Society also uses this symbol of "Swastika" with little change but the theme remains the same as Doctors consider themselves as "the savior of humanity".
Dharma means "that which holds" the people of this world and the whole creation.
    Description
Dharma is a Sanskrit expression of the widest import. There is no corresponding word in any other language. It would also be futile to attempt to give any definition of the word. It can only be explained. It has a wide variety of meanings. A few of them would enable us to understand the range of that expression. Hence dharma can be briefly said as "that which contains or upholds the cosmos."
Therefore, Surya is the "Follower" of that "Dharma" which holds the whole creation (Cosmic Laws of Preservation of life cycle of all creatures on earth).
All humans and creatures absorbs(धारण करते है) the rays of the Sun and is affected by the Sun directly or indirectly through reflection of other planets.
    "हम जो धारण करते है ग्रहो के माध्यम से, उसे ही धर्म कहते है ।"
It is because everybody has to accept the cosmic rays.
We have 12 zodiac/rashis, if you multiply 9×12 it comes to 108 which is why Pandits Chants for 108 times and its multiples for graha shanti. Each of the 9 planet are prayed in all the 12 rasis/ Zodiacs/houses.
In the same way we have 27 nakshatras which controls the zodiac/rashis & planets therein and each nakshatra has four padas(divisions as per degrees), if you multiply 27×4 you will get 108.
Therefore, we only have 108 rudraksha in a mala.
The Maha mandaladheeswaras are also called by this such as Shree Shree 108 or 1008 etc.
Till date everyone on the planet earth is governed by this system of week, month and year which is purely based on astronomy.
Our Panchang system keeps the detailed study of this planetary movement in advance.
Based on the movement of planet earth around the Sun we have day and night. We still count everyday which each of the Pandits chant when they tie thread around our wrist and when they sankalp to do a certain puja for us in that sankalp itself they say in short the count of earths life till present day and even the presence of moon in a certain zodiac/ rashi.

If anybody can change the number of days in a week and days in month then only can be said to have a religion other than Sanatan (i.e., Universal )
Every human being who takes birth is a primary a member of this sanatan paddhati of days, month, year which is based on movement of planets around the Sun which controls the life and death of one & all. This whole system is primarily Sanatan ( i.e., Universal ).
There are political movements to establish rule on this earth in the name of religion started by different persons in a very systematic ways under the garb of the word religion as people fear the almighty only i.e., Eeshwar.
    Constantine supported and spread Christanity.
Muhammed(Prophet) and his supporters supported and spread Islam.
    Ashoka supported and spread Buddhism.
Jews use shree yantra on their flag and call it "Star of David.
The menorah (/məˈnɔːrə/; Hebrew: מְנוֹרָה‬ [mənoːˈɾaː]) is described in the Bible as the seven-lamp (six branches) ancient Hebrew lampstand made of pure gold set up by Moses in the wilderness and later in the Temple in Jerusalem again represents 7 Primary Planets.
Jews, Christians and Muslims have the same initial prophets named Abramh or Abraham which means they also are desciple of the Sun God.
"Dharma" of mother is to bear in womb nourish the child and not to kill the child.
If mother start going against the basic nature and kills the child, then it is "Adhrma"
    Dharma cannot teach killing.
