WOW. I have a sweet 12 yr old, kinda stubborn cockapoo. Lol Love her so much. She's a sweetie even though she only does a few tricks. Quickest housetrained dog! I got her at 6 weeks and she was done at 8 weeks.

I just responded to someone else who also just got a cockapoo puppy. I am going to paste the same tips I recommended to them below for you:
Our Tips:
- Watch youtube videos and teach Cooper tricks immediately! Cockapoos are so smart, it is never too early to start! Not to mention that they love doing tricks. It's such a bonding experience to play/train/perform together. The other tricky part about having smart dogs is that they need discipline too. My parents did not know about the discipline and obedience part, so I grew up doing a ton of tricks but never listened to my parents for the first 2 years of my puppy life. Now I am a good dog, but it took some time.
- Get them used to wearing shoes early. I wear these pawz booties that basically look and feel like balloons. They are great because I can still feel the ground when I walk. All dogs hate shoes, but if you start them early, they won't mind as much. This way, you can get away with not having to shower or bathe Cooper's feet everyday. Depending on where you live, this might be a good idea. These come most handy when I walk around the dirty downtown Los Angeles streets (after 2 minutes, I need a bath), parking lots (instantly black feet), rainy days and muddy days (these are waterproof). Especially if you want Cooper to sleep in the bed with you, shoes are amazing!
- Talk to Cooper as if he(?) understands everything. Ask him questions. Treat him like he is intelligent, and he will be. Most people treat their dogs like they would not understand, and it is a self-fulfilling prophecy, they will not understand because they were never given a chance.

I am struggling to get mine to stop poking me with his wet nose and very severe begging for food even tho i feed him 2 times a day. I take him out on my longboard and he will pull me down the street up and down to get the energy out. Hes a good boy I just need to harness the energy correctly

Hi! We started training when she was 2 months old! She was very treat motivated, and learned to sit, lay, and paw in 5 min each. It was a very pleasant surprise. =)
