  • A Nevada sheriff's department worked with Advexure to implement a drone program.
Advexure loaned the department an Autel EVO II Dual drone, and it just happened to help them track and apprehend two suspects. One of the suspects ran, but the remote pilot, by way of thermal technology, located him.

The Evo 2 has the ability to detect specific temp readings so wouldn't changing those settings for human temperature make the subject stand out instead of blending in with the tree? Geat video though. I just got one of these drones so that's really cool watching it do it's thing!

LE has a different set of rules if they have a COA. Civilians can't do what they do.

No anti-collision lights as required. Not good.... (There's no exception to the mandatory FAA safety rules for law enforcement.)

There are waivers for flights without anti-collision lights. Public safety COAs and waivers are submitted through CAPS rather than Dronezone. Maybe they didn’t have a waiver, but a process exists for it.
