So many factors could be the cause ** Check the tension.. especially if it's loose..tighten it ** Hope you threaded the machine properly ** Check the shuttle tension if it's too tight .. Loosen it ** You can change the needle
@@bondmachines yes the dial turns both ways and it is also raised but the stitches that are coming are very fine even when we are turning the dial to no. 4
I just acquired a Brother Pacesetter XL711 . I can’t even figure out how to turn it on ! lol . Is there anyway to find a manual or how to clean it before I attempt to even sew with it . Any help would be fantastic.
I have the same type of problem! When I plug mine in, it starts sewing and I can't stop it. I DO have the manual, but it DOES NOT tell you where the on/off switch is!!!
No, I have already found the needle pole adjuster screw, it is the adjuster for timing of the bobbin holder and hook that I can’t find. I have had all the panels off, just can’t find where to adjust it. Seems to be out, it is missing zigzag stitches
I just checked the model..it does not use gears,but pole ..so you need to adjust the pole to fix it .that's the screw on the right hand side underneath the machine

@hollymanbeck7489 there's a blown capacitor on the foot pedal .. you need to cut it off.. That's what causes it

For that you need to loosen the 3 screws that's covers the gear underneath,then loose the gear screws and do the adjustment..
Yes, on a Singer or Bernina I have done this no problem. But no obvious gear to adjust on this XL-3001

For the stitch length regulator not moving, it's caused by a spring and missing screw.... You should get a sewing machine engineer to look into it
