You can do the 07-13 Silverado caliper and rotor swap for bigger brakes and the Tahoe dual piston rear caliper when you get to the rear cheap easy upgrade
Looks really good man, that's awesome she's sitting on her new rubber and shining. I have a 65 C30 with a utility bed so I would have to lean towards the utility bed
Ls power, better than new front suspension. Coming together great. Now about those angles on the front bumper....brush grille? Cow catcher? Nice save on an old work horse....Cheers
Flat bed would look good but you would see a lot of the frame and Silverado stuff like plastic gas tank ect. I would consider doing a step side bed. It wouldn’t be hard to make longer bed sides and you could use C10 factory fenders and tailgate.
I like a bigger sidewall on the tires, it would just look better in my opinion. I'm an older man who likes old school rods. Good to see the old Iron on the road.
Personal choice on bed really, if you do go flat bed here is a thought. Cut the rear frame right behind the shackles, build a new rear crossmember(easy enough to do) and that will shorten the length up considerably. Just an idea
Im thinking a service body for the back would be sick looking plus functional for the truck. Keep up the great work and much love to ya from Maryland ❤❤❤
I think a modified fleetside or stepside bed would look sick. I know it never came with one, and it would add a ton of work, but it would turn every head though.
This is literally the build I have always wanted those old c60’s I just love their look. I am looking at one locally for sale and debating on getting it. Just so I have the body. But I’m looking to throw a 12 valve Cummins under the hood with a flat bed. But looks amazing I might just have to get that truck now 😅
Swell work!!!. I really enjoy your laidback, honest channel and its contents. How about an oiltank back there with camping/sleeping equipment inside. (New tank off course. Wouldnt want you to succumb from old oil fumes) ..and some nice old, weathered 60s oil-company graphics on the tanksides. That would be rad.
The steps on the side of that are near you need to cut those stamps off of that and raise it up. And it's, I know you don't want to do that. Cause this, it would look much better no cooler than ever. But. But but you gonna have drag if you don't get them get the steps. I'm cutting get that stuff cut off of there.
Very nice, but I would have taken a few minutes and painted the springs before reinstalling them... This will be a nice ride when completed.... Thx for sharing...
You put the upper control arm bolts in backwards. I know the way you put them was easier for you. But they go in the opposite way for a reason. When you do the alignment and you tighten the control arm nut. You cannot get the proper torque on the nut when it is installed backwards. Those nuts have to be massively torqued or when you hit a pothole the control arm will move . I do front end work for a living. Believe me, I have do it yourselfers come in all of the time with the bolts in backwards. And you just cannot tighten the nuts properly. So they either have to turn the bolts around themselves, or I charge them upper control arm labor to turn the bolts around. Anyway, great truck. (C60's, the next square body!) Get'm while they are cheap!
I like the looks and color of the wheels but I have to admit I'm getting really bored with the LS swaps and patina paint jobs ( every body is doing)! But I do like that color of gold on the cab I think it would look nice with a rootbeer color pinstripe maybe and a flatbed with wooden side rails.
A factory fleetside bed would be awesome
Utility bed is definitely the way to go, that would look sick!
I agree, that would be cool!
From some reason that escapes me, I cannot get beyond "WOW".😁 Those rims!
Thats an awesome looking truck. The wheels and tyres fits perfect.
Greetings from Austria.
Thanks 👍
Wheel fitment is perfect....and makes the look of the truck for sure. Flatbed is the way to go
Yeah a flatbed is probably what I’ll do!
I'd like to see the bed like an old school service truck bed and rustomod garage on the doors. It'd be a cool ole shop truck.
Stepside fenders on a box built it fit???
You can do the 07-13 Silverado caliper and rotor swap for bigger brakes and the Tahoe dual piston rear caliper when you get to the rear cheap easy upgrade
Good idea ! Thanks
It's coming together! Love the wheels
Thanks!
Great choice! Rims really makes the ride 🏆⚡️
nailed it with the wheels. super cool and tasteful build!
Looking great! Glad to see you take your time and do it right. That Vortex motor will last forever. Cant wait to see the next video.
This truck IS a Very good visual❤
I looooove this build
You're a bad ass and an inspiration!
Get you to SEMA!
Thank you
We just went to sema in my rambler haha
Yeah I think that you definitely nailed it with the wheels. And the color is perfect IMO. Can't wait to see what you do with the bed.
Appreciate it, I’m really happy with them!
This truck is looking great
Thank you!
That’s a killer build those wheels have the perfect offset
They make the truck look much better
The Heavy Chevy is looking badass!
Great choice of wheels, looks much better than those hideous wheels many are putting on trucks.
What a great job you are doing to keep this cool old truck cab on the road. Old Chevys never die.
Appreciate the support!
Great Job. Love how its turning out
You are kill’n it bro 🤙🏼
Thank you !
And here I thought doing the 4 wheel disc brake conversion on my 68 C10 was a lot of work. Nicely done!
Looks really good man, that's awesome she's sitting on her new rubber and shining. I have a 65 C30 with a utility bed so I would have to lean towards the utility bed
Yeah a utility bed would be cool!
@Rustomod or try and get the OG bed on it to finish the look
Working on a 59 Viking 60. It’s over by Apehangers right now but putting it on a 3500 dually chassis soon. Thank you for all the tips!!
That sounds like a cool project!
Killer ride! I love it ❣️
Wow, that's awesome 👍
Thanks, I’m glad you like them!
Love those wheels, I think a utility bed would look good & you could make it look more *proportionate* lengthwise.
Steel a cool truck
Ls power, better than new front suspension. Coming together great. Now about those angles on the front bumper....brush grille? Cow catcher? Nice save on an old work horse....Cheers
Flat bed would look good but you would see a lot of the frame and Silverado stuff like plastic gas tank ect. I would consider doing a step side bed. It wouldn’t be hard to make longer bed sides and you could use C10 factory fenders and tailgate.
I’m going to do utility boxes below the frame
Awesome work.
Thank you!
I like a bigger sidewall on the tires, it would just look better in my opinion. I'm an older man who likes old school rods. Good to see the old Iron on the road.
Man someone with taste, I thought I was alone here.
Looks great! That's going to be a nice driver!
The wheels look awesome. I'd like to see this on air ride so you can drop the running boards to the ground when at a show
Nailed it!
Personal choice on bed really, if you do go flat bed here is a thought. Cut the rear frame right behind the shackles, build a new rear crossmember(easy enough to do) and that will shorten the length up considerably. Just an idea
Service body for sure!! Like the one Bello's Kustoms did.
It’s looking awesome. I just started watching with this build. I’m going to have to watch your earlier videos.
Glad you're here, check out the older stuff.
Great wheel choice
Thank you
Really liking this. Build i agree a fleet side bed would look sick not sure what you are planning for a bed
Love it ..give you a nice big cab ..
Looks great 😎👍🏼
That's sharp!
You gotta tie in the running boards up into the design of the bed!
Wouod look nice with a 60s c10 long step side or fleet bed
K 30 utility bed brother
What’s the idea in the back half of the truck? Flatbed or regular bed or Wedge transport truck utility?
Probably a flat bed for now
Where and when is the show and swap meet?
Aug 10th Maryland International Raceway
Great build been waiting for a new video 😅
Thanks for being patient! Lots of work getting a video up!
Very cool
Vintage utility bed would be cool. Fleet side bed would be ok if you can get one to fit.
My Uncle says THIS is how you do a budget build while also upgrading. He says you deserve a beer or 3 haha
Thanks !
Im telling you, bro... this fuckin truck is siiiccckkk!! I can't wait to see the flatbed on it!!!
Thanks!
So cool man can't wait
Im inclined to use a period correct stepside that has been extended to fit.
Looks too cool! Flat bed with clearcoated wood with your youtube t-shirts layed out on it(for sales)
That’s my idea for sure
Awesome truck!
Thanks 👍
Im thinking a service body for the back would be sick looking plus functional for the truck. Keep up the great work and much love to ya from Maryland ❤❤❤
I think a modified fleetside or stepside bed would look sick. I know it never came with one, and it would add a ton of work, but it would turn every head though.
Really enjoying this thank you
Appreciate that, glad you are enjoying it!
Use a factory pickup bed.
Utility bed would be sick
Definitely gotta find a cool one
I think a utility bed would look awesome on this truck

Awesome!
Love the wheels and tires... very cool!
Would love too see a utility bed on the truck I think it would fill the truck out and look proportional
Yeah it’s a cool look
Swell work!!!. I really enjoy your laidback, honest channel and its contents.

There’s an idea!
🔥🔥🔥
I would say an old school style service bed or welder style bed, but vintage
Fleet side bed with the same wheel well openings as the front fenders
Definitely go with a utility bed
do the utilities bed it would fit more for what you will be doing
The steps on the side of that are near you need to cut those stamps off of that and raise it up. And it's, I know you don't want to do that. Cause this, it would look much better no cooler than ever. But.
But but you gonna have drag if you don't get them get the steps. I'm cutting get that stuff cut off of there.
That looks great, the front bumper isn't level though it's too high on the front right!
Yeah I need to shim it
If you could find a old school wreaker body it would be cool on that truck.
Utility bed would be mint...
Yeah might do it later
I think a flatbed with utility boxes underneath and drop in wood panels for upper side walls.
Definitely
Utility bed
Very nice, but I would have taken a few minutes and painted the springs before reinstalling them... This will be a nice ride when completed.... Thx for sharing...
I would so make this my daily
It would be a great daily!
Looking real good
Find a utility box. Toss it on there and slam it so it lines up with the bottom of the step boards.
Thanks for calling them wheels not rims. Rims are the outside of the wheel, a wheel is a complete inner and outer rim and hub. Awesome project.
You put the upper control arm bolts in backwards. I know the way you put them was easier for you. But they go in the opposite way for a reason.

I’d give you a long bed fleetside bed for $50, it’s on the truck in my PFP, it’s beat up but not horribly rusty
What was the supplier name for suspension? I couldn't make out what you said.
Maxpeedingrods
wish you would have painted the springs
Those wheels look incredible, but how's your scrub radius? You might be back into bjs sooner than you wanted.
Seems to be ok well see how it is when I get it driving
Que pena.

Is it build on a 2WD 1500?
Would there be big differences to build it on a 2500 or 3500?
SRW, Dually?
The 2500 frames are taller but should be the same process
Just my opinion but, I think it would look best as a Dually. Especially if you flatbed it.
Flat bed with stakes 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Just please don’t do the “old man stretched C10 pick up bed thing.. that would look outdated 90s-2K style..
Flat deck bed for sure
the Detroit steel wheels are super pricey but they are about as cool as it gets.
Flat or service bed.
Flatbed.
I really wish you could find a matching bed for this truck but I’m sure that’s just wishful thinking lol
Hola que pasó con el audio en español súper video lo vi igual pero con sustituto 😢😢😢
I’ll check on that
Apache bed
