50+ cars is a lot! I've dreamed of building a 2014 Impreza WRX hatchback since I was 9 years old can't wait to build one when I have the financials for one! what's your favorite car you have built?
@ProfessorTurtleGuy Many hold special places for different reasons. But my dad and I built an all motor 1988 toyota supra. On the 7M platform. We built it several times over and it was turning 13s every pass. So much fun and memories.
@markroden you will!!! And we're not always talking full builds of course! Some were 20k invested into my daily 02' wrx wagon, over a cpl years. Some were throwing an exhaust, wheels and tires and loud blowoff valve on our boys thunderbird turbo coupe and screaming around town seeing what we could take. Its all about getting out there and enjoying the culture gentleman. And were still out here at 40 doing it big. I've finished another 00' 4runner with a 3.5 liter, and it looks beat to hell outside. But the motor and suspension will destroy any trail, and were working on my chevy hhr ss next just for fun. Just keep doing it and you'll be able to look back in 20 years and never have to say "I wish I would have"....
These are geeat ideas Mark. I have been wanting to build a EG civic and i feel i am going to work with your suggestions. Respect for this video. The Q50 os a good platform. Go with what your heart is saying to you and the Q 50 is calling you.
The Coupes are the same wheel base as the hatch and can perform just as well as the hatch. All of the performance parts Mark mentioned fit Integras too ( same car basically)
Dont gut the interior, it doesn't shed much weight and if you remove the headliner you will boil yourself in the summer on the track ....it insulates you from heat. Remember Civics are damn light with interior already and you could still put a roll cage with full interior.
you should really consider importing a m140i for your next car they got a b58, RWD and it would stand since its not a typical car in your area im guessing
Maybe naming the videos as "How I would build a [car]" Because Alex Martini/Martini Works do it like whats popular and just what works for. While you do what you want yourself.
