10 years ago Hondas were not universally loved because of ricer builds. But now a days they are much more appreciated and built much more carefully. Pretty cool to see
Just bought a 97 Integra GSR in Cypress Green Pearl! 😂 The car needs a lot of work and a full paint correction but when it’s done it’s going to be so fucking beautiful I’m beyond excited!!😅❤❤❤
This has to be the most UBSURD swap ever. He practically swapped a full FD2 into an EF chassis. I mean a swap is one thing but a POP UP trunk?!!! Bro this guy is nutty
The time and effort put into this is simply astounding to say the least. Even including the full use of the remote and trunk release! Who would have thought of that! Just amazing. 👏👏👏
All these beautiful builds. And I understand, you said these are basically the upper class people who build these because it's expensive to build stuff like this Indonesia, but still, they have amazing taste and quality.
Just for clarification, there are many K20 variants, but if this motor is from an FD2 then it is K20a (FD2). The K20a in the FD2 is different from the K20a in the DC5-R. The K20a is superior to the K20z1, K20z3, and K20a2 that we got in the US/Canada. However with enough modification they can all be competitive with each other. This motor is stroked so its essentially a K22a
The K20z3 is the only equivalent to the FD2 k20a. The only differences being z3 has balance shaft oil pump, the cams and pistons are different and of course RBC on z3 vs RRC on the FD2.
@@IaintTrynaGoOutLikeBIGnPAC "The K20z3 is the only equivalent to the FD2 k20a" K20Z4 from the FN2 Type R is equivalent to FD2 K20A AFAIK, both with the RSP cylinder head casting that flows a little more (but the JDM version with the different cams, higher-comp pistons and non-balance-shaft oil pump). The FA5/FG2 Civic Si K20Z3 has the older RBC cylinder head casting that flows a little less AFAIK so it's not quite 100% equivalent, it also used the older Accord Euro-R RBC intake manifold as well as you say. (Where the FD2 has the RRC intake manifold and the FN2 has the longer runner Accord-style RSP intake manifold.) The Civic Si's also had the older gear ratios, older final drive ratio and older heavier flywheel, where both the FD2 and FN2 got the revised items (5.1 final drive instead of 4.8, 5kg flywheel instead of 8kg). The FD2 gearbox and LSD-version of the FN2 gearbox are 100% identical as far as I know. The shifter mechanism in the car is exactly the same in all 8th-gens as far as I know (be it FD2 Type R, FG2/FA5 Civic Si and FN2 Type R).
"The K20a is superior to the K20z1, K20z3, and K20a2 that we got in the US/Canada. " Between a DC5 Type R K20A and a DC5 K20A2 (Type S or Australian version Type R), the only differences inside the engine are just the camshafts and compression ratio of the pistons AFAIK. Slightly more aggressive cam profiles, and 11.5:1 compression instead of 11:0 (then 11.7:1 on FD2 Type R). Everything else (valve springs, valves, conrods, crankshaft etc) is identical as far I know for the same generation K20 engine (noting 8th gen Civic Si used the older Accord Euro-R engine as the basis and not the second-gen K20). Identically the first of the K20s had exactly the same valve springs as the S2000! The rest of the power difference was from the slightly bigger throttle body (64mm on JDM DC5 Type R, 62mm on DC5 Type S or Australian model Type R) and 4-2-1 exhaust instead of 4-1 exhaust. So most of the power difference is "bolt-on" stuff. 🙂 (Then you have the later international version 8th-gen K20Z engines using balance shaft oil pumps of course.)
@@JasonMcMullen They all do, don't they? Even the Accord Euro / 1st gen TSX K24A2 engine. Apart from the K24Z23 with the single exhaust port from the 9th gen Civic Si, ILX and 2nd gen TSX. (According to Luke from 4 Piston, the intake side of the K24Z3 flows the best of all stock K series heads though!)
I installed my first civic jdm as a swap for my 02 honda :) so proud now to build my first k20 lol. Im 49 years old wish i found this years ago. Amazing build dude!!!
That is a proper built Civic. The interior is pretty impressive level of thought and finish. The color is a fantastic choice. The bronze TE's... (This is the car every hotboi thinks they have...🤣)

@@radelement3987 currently at a stand still. The civic is under three feet of snow at the moment. The k20 is in the engine bay for a test fit. Found out it will need other engine mounts or a low profile valve cover. Still a ways to go. Thanks for asking!
TE37V's are my favorite rims for 90's honda's they just look right with them. Want to get a set of them for my DB1 one day. Also the fact this thing is making 320hp with a really tame looking, oe style exhaust is wicked.
I love cars with big and wide wheels, it just makes u feel ur on the ground better and it looks cool without sacrificing comfort, especially in my country that has bad roads.
How can it get better than this? Absolutely ridiculous build. It takes restomod to such a high level that I didn't even consider smushing an FD2 into an EF hahahaha wild!
How you figure? A stock K20Z3 puts out 197hp, simple bolt-ons and a set of drop in cams can get you in the high 200's at the wheels, and this guy doesn't have a stock stroked bottom end..... even a completely stock K24 bottom with 8th gen K20 head will get you damn near or 300. 😅
@@johnnygeorgopoulos4072 sorry but i don’t think it makes that kind of power, especially not with no power steering and AC! I seen and heard 300hp+ k series cars and that does not sound no where near 320hp.

Was this EF photographed for a print from your shop?

Always good to see an over the top build that keeps AC and a full interior. Love it!
Nice one bro l have eg turbo swap h2ba7
Green is such an underrated color. It looks brilliant sitting on dark gold wheels and not many people have that look.
Yeah. Definitely one of my favorite looks, can’t beat a dark candy green.

Honda green is a nice color but with the interior that comes with it, no one wants it.
I have b18c in a cypress green pearl 97 sedan with gold wheels. People love it.
Wowza, that is one of if not the nicest Ef I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing this with us Larry & props to the owner/builders for a job well done.

Love the coverage of well built Hondas!
I love that we can hear Thikr and the Athaan from the mosque in the background, all the while this hot hatch is being reviewed
Honda community is untouched. No car community does it better than Honda enthusiasts.
As a FA5/8th gen civic owner I love seeing people retro fitting parts on these older chassis

I like this guy. Its summer here 247 here California too. I always appreciate builds that keeps ac and drivability.
Complete FD2 R in a 4th gen civic.... immaculate. Best in the world. I had no idea it was professionally done this well

that engine is big, damn, it's not the usual spacious builds you see in carshows, i like it. I guess thats why the hood was not flat.
Hands down one of the cleanest civics ive seen! its a work of art! Also, peep the gorgeous MB E class in the background haha
Craziest, cleanest and best build I’ve ever seen. Props to the team that put it together.
What an amazing build he put together. He should be proud 👍🏼👍🏼
No just you and some others that don't know better
He has 2 or 3 different dashes from different Honda /Acuras , this man knows how to do things and make power you only dream about 😂
One of my favorite Civics! I guess because it’s from the years right before I got my license and I just loved the hatch on these cars!!! Sick Build!!!

the only swapped dash where its looks better after the swap, the dash looks amazing

This made me miss my ‘91 EF. Nice build 👍🏼
The kind of build that makes your whole day better just passing by on the street.

The craftsmanship is just perfect
Good luck, hope get it done
Even The State That i Live in i Don't See Them on The Road Anymore Sema Quality Build Nice EF 💯

This is the OG hatchback. It’s amazing how perfectly the dash fit
