It was a well deserved win. Looking forward to a much more comprehensive pool of nominees in the future, given that there're a *_lot_* of talents and artists -- corporate or indie, English-speaking or no -- that could fit in all of the categories presented. I mean, seriously, how did *Ui Shigure* _not_ make it into this category? But hey, it's only natural that you'd have some kinks that need ironing out when its your first time rolling out something like this.
The best part about the awards is that it's all fan voted. Ina won despite the majority of the others being on twitch. This goes to show that the takos reach is far and wide.
Disclaimer first - I gave my vote to Ina. But I think what you just mentioned is actually the worst part. Cause it quickly becomes a competition between fanbases. So whoever has more fans wins no matter how good the opponents are. That's why Kobo won the most chaotic vtuber and she's not even chaotic... or as chaotic as Pekora or Miko sometimes if you stick to hololive and certainly way less chaotic than Pippa and Chibi (and maybe Tricky, I don't watch her, so I don't know). Also as good as Mori is... you know what I mean if you watched the awards show. And finally (and related to the Mori thing) the whole show was targeted towards EN speaking fanbases and auditory, so if there was a competition between EN vs non-EN most likely (but now always, of course) the EN would win, cause non-EN fanbase might not even know about this awards thing, cause it wasn't advertised to them. So yeah, my point is - every award show is biased and this one is not an exception. Again, I voted for a lot of holo girls there, so I am a part of the problem, I admit. But saying that "The best part about the awards is that it's all fan voted" is... kinda wrong
you get this response from a lot of (humble) award winners. you have to keep in mind that it's very subjective, these things, that is the nature of an award show that's not about hard science. so you might win because you are popular, since the Vtuber scene for example isn't complete "fair" or whatever a lot of potentially more skilled candidates might just not be known to enough people. however, understood for what it is, it is still an achievement. not that the winner in any given category is the undisputedly best at that particular craft, but rather like in this case with Ina where she is the best at being both KNOWN and REGARDED THE BEST among the popular ones. i hope she is proud.

Ina wasn't voted "Best Art Vtuber" solely because of her art streams, it's more of that she's the overall "best" Vtuber that does art streams. There are plenty of amazing art vtubers out there, doing great things, but Ina has reached millions of people and her art streams have inspired many. Her advice and encouragement is very relatable, which is what people need. Her art streams are also just so comfy, you don't even have to care about the art to tune in. I would often listen to her art streams while I was building gunpla.
I am a bit conflicted because I know some other vtubers that draw and I *mean* draw some really good arts but Ina also deserve the *W* . I am happy for her.

I think I voted for every single winner, but only because I basically voted by popularity and not merit, which I'm guessing points to a bit of a problem I noticed - the winners were basically the most popular VTubers representing each section. Hololive VTubers basically swept in the sections they were nominated for, and whenever ones like Selen, Mouse, or ShyLily came up, they won.
A lot of vtubers are good at something. Some sing, some draw, some dance, some drive their managers to the brink of insanity. Ina would not have won if she were not a skilled artist. Simple as. Popularity does play a part to be sure, doubly so as this was all fan voting, but you cannot deny she can draw some damn fine takos.

There's this big and dynamic Vtuber community, and then there is Hololive attached to the side of it, connected only through a few collabs each year that are heavily micromanged to assure compliancy. The fandoms reflect that. I don't know why Hololive feels the need to isolate their talents so throughly, but I assume it has to do with greed. The company doesn't want to give too much exposure to other talents so their core audience doesn't wander off. And that saddens me.

It took me a minute to even take the frame. that was more than a week ago and that thing still lies on my table, because i dont know what to do with that piece..... As it turned out, it was announced at the event that i get this certificate, so i cant even hide the Fact that i got that x.x maybe it will be covered by my vacation and the Holidays, so they will not tease me with it next year.
