Furiosa was written in the 80’s btw, sigourney weaver signed on in the 90’s but production fell apart. So anyone claiming this is woke Ripley is woke now I guess
You will notice the genius of it. Like furiosa seeing praetorian jack in mad max (since they look so much alike), making her trust max more easily and opening up to another man in a long time.
I thought perhaps they’d get the actor playing Furiosa’s mother to do an American accent, to at least give some sort of explanation as to why Furiosa is the only person in the entire world she inhabits to have one (despite being played first by a South African, and now by an Argentinian Brit, making the inexplicable American accent just that little bit more absurd)
It makes sense that her accent would be muddled with time, which is why she talks that way in Fury Road. Look at Max for example, in Fury Road he’s essentially learning how to speak again after fighting the demons in his own mind for decades.
Charlize Theron and Anya Taylor Joy have American accents. Maybe Theron didn't do the South African accent because it would be too difficult to understand speaking at fast pace? But yeah having the mother speaking with a different accent is strange

@@CoffeeFiend1 He's not saying that, he's saying that they're showing so much important footage in a 5 minute span that you will be able to piece the entire film together when you go see it in theaters. It doesn't ruin the experience, but it definitely takes a lot of momentum out of it on the very first watch because you want SOME surprises. I'm glad I stumbled on this because I don't want to see the same thing.

I still can’t figure out why Furiosa had a movie about her with no mad max/ Tom Hardy…i don’t understand why they took a gamble on the success of Furiosa to see if Wasteland will be made. From reports it says Hardy and Wasteland are on hold and most likely won’t be made. What a bunch of morons…they should have made it with Hardy and made another movie with Furiosa later on.
Because mad max is not a memorable hero, unlike everything else in this world. He supports and rides on the chaos. Other characters are rock stars in comparison. Furiosa’s story was already made by the time of fury road, it was a natural progression until this movie got delayed 10 years.
People have become so disdainful of CGI. They can’t tell the difference when it’s used properly and when it’s used improperly here it’s used properly. saw it last night in imax looked amazing, great movie

I had seen this preview over 2 weeks ago at the cinema and now I’m glad to see it again on UA-cam.
