I know it may seem discouraging to see so little views. But the algorithm will pick you up and bring your audience to you. I encourage everyone who watches to comment so we can help our new friends succeed. :)
i love this. your channel is so so cool and i cannot wait to see where you take it. I went back to see your other videos and i definitely like your voice a lot better than the robot voice. either way the content is awesome. I will share this with everyone. never stop creating
Thank you so much and for sharing! And yeah I've been back and forth on the whole robot voice thing. I like the tone but ultimately it's hard to hear me sometimes and I'm not sure I have the skills to get a good balance. Thanks for the feedback!
Ok fascinating video. My only note is there's a branding issue here. Artist Conduit is beautifully descriptive but too clunky for everyday use (totally fine if you disagree). I'd like to propose some alternatives: Flowist - Leaning more into ideas of muse and intuition. Intercreator - Leaning more into when there are multiple entities involved in the creative process. Collabratist - Combining collaboration with artist. Synthartist - Combining synthesis with artist. What do you think? Do you have other terms or do you think conduit is catchy enough on its own?
I like Collabratist a lot. That would probably be a better word for collaborative works like TV, Film or animation than conduit like I suggested. It assumes a fair amount of agency in the creation of an original work tho, where as conduit deals with elements that facilitate art but aren't completely responsible. Art conduit probably is a bit clunky, but just the word conduit would work just fine under the right context, granted it's understood that's in reference to art, music, film etc..
Art is intent, and as such I don't think something can become a conduit accidentally. A painter deliberately chooses which paint and brushes to work with, but Eugene Korman could not have predicted his photo would be used like this, and therefore the output cannot be his art. He certainly contributed, but in the same way that an actor contributes to the final product that is a movie. Pulp Fiction isn't Samuel L Jackson's as much as it is Quentin Tarantino's, is it?
Thanks for engaging with the concept! You're right that art is intent but that's exactly why I think it's important we recognize and give credit because intent alone doesn't create the full work. Their art or craft might not BE the final work, but if their contributions serve or add up to the complete work, they deserve a nod at the very least and the word conduit I think serves that purpose. Whether the contribution is small, large or even unaware. Samuel L. Jackson would be a great example of a conduit whose contribution is large, because even though it's in the service of the director's vision, Pulp Fiction wouldn't be the same without Samuel L. Jackson playing that role. His art or craft contributed to the final work, though it's not ultimately HIS work. Eugene Korman is an example of a conduit whose contribution you might consider small. The problem is it was hard even finding his name and everything he contributed to Hollywood photography because the famous picture is so strongly attached to Warhol. His framing and lighting all contributed to the image and yet he's not even mentioned on the Wikipedia page. Marilyn Monroe herself could be considered a conduit who was unaware (she died weeks before Marilyn Diptych was released) but deserves credit since it's her face, image and fame that gives the work the full context.
I'm using an VRChat avatar that moves the mouth when I speak. It was created by barkScript and is super impressive and can even emote by touching different parts of the oculus controller. And thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Such a charming way of making a video essay, great work! 2:10 really cracked me up
Thank you! Yeah, it didn't help my wife was laughing at what I said in the real world making it hard to keep my composure lol.

Thanks for the help! I've got my expectations set fairly low at the moment as far as getting many views, but any help is much appreciated!
I literally started taking notes during this video because I was so inspired. Great work!

Interesting! This video has too few views!
Thank you! I'm still learning how to please the algorithm. It's not going well lol.

How are you doing your mouth? Is it tracking your actual phonemes (or something) or is it random?
I also enjoyed the actual video content
