Steel Force & Phantom's Revenge | A DH Morgan Comparison
Вставка

- I've been riding Phantom's Revenge as long as I can remember, but as far as Morgan Hypercoasters go, Phantom is the exception rather than the rule. This year I was finally able to ride a ground-up Morgan hyper, that being Steel Force at Allentown, PA's Dorney Park. How does a more traditional Morgan layout compare to Phantom's Arrow/Morgan hybrid layout? This lifelong Phantom Phanatic weighs in here, and both are solid experiences all around.

If you love Phantom’s Revenge, I’d definitely recommend Lightning Run at Kentucky Kingdom.
Phantom, Mamba, Steel Force. Yet to ride Wild Thing. Phantom is king, but the other 2 are great fun as well.
If you look close enough you can see that steel force’s track has shorter connects on the side and phantom’s has longer connects on the side and has skinnier rails compared to steel force’s rails. Also kennywood is 2 minutes away from me so I can see a lot of difference
Do they have Mountain Dew there?
Hope you’re well!🥤

You forgot Steel Eel when naming the other Morgan coasters
I knew I was leaving one out! That's what I get for editing at 3 AM.
Not gonna lie I like steel force up front more. It’s the same way I view el toro. You get popped out of your seat more at the apex of the hills. That’s why I like toro and steel force up front more because I feel I get the stronger airtime up front
Steel Dragon 2000 is fantastic!
So I've heard! I hope I'm lucky enough to ride it one day.
I love the sound of phantoms lift hill in the parking lot, don’t know why it’s one of those nostalgic sounds to me, not to mention for the longest time it was the tallest “thing” there
The sound of an Arrow chain life will always be my favorite sound in any amusement park.
Arrow anti rollback is the best coaster sound.
As somebody who has Phanny just outside their top 10, Steel Force around rank 60 (out of 263) - let me tell you temper your expectations on Wild Thing.
I've heard some pretty negative things about Wild Thing. If I ever get to Valleyfair I'll keep my expectations in check.
@@RampagingRex It's still fun, but there's hardly any airtime save for some floater pops in the front and some after the midcourse. It's majestic looking though, I'll give it that.
Kennywood is my home park. Phantom is in my top 10. Phantom is the ride that made me a coaster enthusiast. I have yet to visit Dorney. However, i love Morgan Hypers style. I can't hit up many parks this year. So its a toss up between Knoebels or Dorney. I would say Steel Force would be my reason for going to Dorney. This ride looks awesome
The Steel Force logo was inspired by the never-used logo for Banshee at Cedar Point before they decided to name the coaster Mantis!
i havent rode steel force but phantom i ride multiple times a year sooooo i think id like phantom a lot more lol
That's why I said it's not really fair to pit them against each other. Phantom is the objectively better coaster, but I always wanted to see how a ground-up Morgan coaster would compare.
3:29 89? It’s 85.
There's been a lot of conflicting information on Phantom's stats over the years. The park used to advertise its top speed as 89 MPH, but now they've switched it to 85. The same thing happened with the stats of the second drop, some sources say 228' and others say 232'. I kind of hop back and forth between all the measurements whenever I talk about Phantom.
