Get higher when you do a range test. Try it at about 120m high. I noticed tall trees near you. Those can and will block your signal at times. You were only 10 to 20m most of the way, that's very low which is why when you turned antennas down more it may have helped your signal. So I think you can get even further if you try this increased altitude. Give it a shot see how you do 🙂
Agree. Should boost 10 percent. Could hit another 200-300m I’m going to try to get a video of this myself. I will need to meet with my friend who has a CE model. I’m impatiently waiting for my FCC model lol

Excellent range for the CE version⚠️ That's really reassuring 👍😎 The improved urban range was possibly due to the open area over the water, remember the 2.4ghz wifi interference comes mainly from urban buildings and the wifi 'bubbles' around them are quite limited in their range but when they are all clustered together in a tightly packed area, it means the signals are everywhere, they probably wouldn't reach much out over the water? 👍😎
PD Tech Thank you! :) I don’t think so. Because I did a flight in the exact same place. Before. It gave me 500m. And no 2.4ghz is not an option in my city. When I did switch to it manually. I got like 80m :D 5.8 is the only option in my city. I also have gotten 500m in a very tight place. With a lot of buildings around. Maybe the water helped a bit. But I don’t think that it was that much of a help.

Totally agree it should be cheaper especially as the controller are actually different. Also the CE version apparently doesn't come with a usb charger brick whereas the FCC version does.

KvartekMedia it starts to come back. Once you regain the visual feed then you can cancel the return to home and continue your flight or just let it come back.

Sorry but this video must be fake! I have the FCC version and I barely can go over 1.7km at rural areas and 800m in urban areas, all with many glitches on its way. Just a reminder: the parabolic are garbage, they made a very tiny difference only. 🤨🤔

Could you check the app during flight on its wifi connectivity if it constantly auto changes from 2.4 to 5.8ghz during your flight to get the best wifi signal thats why you still get a good fpv signal up to 700m even in that urban place..?
epson exxon In the city it was on 5.8 at all times. In nature at 2.4. In city of Riga it is not possible to fly in 2.4ghz. It is too cluttered. So it was on 5.8 at all times in the city.

In my town I’m lucky to get 50m before I lose signal! Really disappointed with the drone for this reason. I haven’t used it in a non urban environment to see how much that affects the range.

Brett St Pierre Yours is MT1SS5 (FCC version). it is stated on the box and also on the drone if you open the battery cover and look into it. The FCC version(MT1SS5) only emits at fixed 5.8Ghz frequency , but when you are in a CE country , it lowers its transmitter power to SRRC requirements so you get shorter range (perhaps less than 1km). If you fly it in US, it will transmit in full FCC power 4km range. If you are able to 'hack' the drone into thinking that it is in US, then you will transmit at full power for 4km range. It is not legal though so do it at your own risk.

I don't think you'll have any problems at all, if you watch many of captain drones videos he often flies well below 0 degrees in Canada and doesn't seem to have any problems.

How many different wifi frequency versions are there for the Mavic Mini? 2.4ghz and 5.3ghz and the higher frequency further?

@@tomislavbosnjak7435 pozdrav... vidim da imas mavic Mini, pa me zanima jesi li imao kad problema sa diskonekcijom u gradu, gubljenje signala itd... meni se stalno gubi signal cim predjem 70-80 metara... signal weak, rc connection lost... pa mi krene u RTH... imaš kakav savjet! Imam sparka starog, sa njim nikad nikakvih problema, iste lokacije...Puno Hvala Na odgovoru!

I don't think you'll have any problems at all, if you watch many of captain drones videos he often flies well below 0 degrees in Canada and doesn't seem to have any problems.

It should work fine the only thing you will probably have to do is use a fake gps app and set location to US.
