Great video. Im wiring an ADU tomorrow. Someone told me that adu’s cannot use gas for stoves or dryers. Only electric appliances. Is that true for california?
Hey buddy what about if the existing house already have solar panel and now with the ADU we have to install a Double meter, and replace the existing which is attached to the solar system
Oooh this is a good video. I’ve know of an ADU that does not have its own electricity connection and instead piggybacks off the electrical connection of the primary residence on the property. The ADU tenant has to pay a utility fee that is improperly calculated because there is practically no way to tell how much of the electrical bill is because of his usage in the ADU and how much is from the primary tenants. And all this because the landlord submitted fraudulent documentation to the city building department to construct the ADU in the first place! An example of an unethical landlord trying to squeeze more money out his rentals for that one! He ought to have his keys and titles stripped from him.
i can tell how much effort went into this video editing. great explanation too!

No. ADUs can use whatever you want as long as it passes title 24.
is 125 panel enough for a 360 sq feet ADU if everything is electric? no gas.
