I love how im getting the best advice from non licensed people. Honestly experience is everything
even if you are licensed, most hairdressers know nothing abt curly hair (even though this video is abt dyeing hair not curly specifically)
i've been CG for 6 years and honestly...my hair is healthier when it's dyed because i do WAY more deep treatments and take way more care of it 😂it's an incentive ahaha
Cg?
@@scooterlovya pretty sure they mean curlygirl
@@scooterlovya yes - curly girl method!
Beautician
“it might be more damaged or healthier than this girls you dont know what shes going through “ LOL
Sorry, another comment! But Renee, can you do a future video on how to protect natural hair for the summer. Like from chlorine and the sun? Thank you! ❤️
Lisandra I was just going to comment this!! I agree!
Lisandra I would like to see a video on this too. Great question Lisandra 🎀
I second this !!
For chlorine I would say before you jump into the pool wet your hair and put a ton of conditioner in it.from what I’ve read if your hairs already full of water it won’t absorb as much or the chlorine water
I Need this to happen!
Box dyes are normally why people end up at a salon for color correction. I prefer bleach with a higher volume developer to get my desired color. Bleach isn’t the enemy if it’s done right. I always add coconut oil to my hair before bleaching. But deep conditioning after is a must, especially once a week 😊 I currently have purple highlights in my hair, looking to change to a brighter purple though, wish me luck!
How do you go about lighting you hair if you don’t mind me asking? I have pink in my hair, but it’s barley on the ends now and I want to add more but I want to do it as gentle as possible, since I damaged my hair from using the bleach in the splat color kits🤦🏽♀️. I haven’t bleached since September though, and I’ve been doing the curly girl method since February+had 12ish inches of the damaged hair cut off, and regular trims. I did find a great natural hair color brand call Iroiro. So I just use it to touch up the pink. Sorry if this was too long🖤.
I got my hair bleached at a really expensive salon and walked out with pin straight hair not a curl in sight
@@kim.possible. I had something similar happen to me I went to a professional and my hair was jacked up. My roots were bone straight (semi-permanent) and the rest of my curls (permanent) were loose and some ends straight. I had to get my ends cut off and had to get my hair cut into a style until it grew out. It took forever!
Thank you!! I needed this!! I love my honey balayage and I'm trying to go natural so it was good to hear these things
I was nervous when I first got color but I absolutely love it and I am so happy that I did color my hair
Been wanting to dye my curls forever! This video must be a sign!
When my hair starts to turn noticeably gray, I think I’m going to color it. When that day comes, I’ll check out Textures & Tones!
SUCH a great video! I’ve never gotten color because I was always afraid. Thank you for this very informative video!
Bianca girl I tried to cut bangs like yours and my hair is a wavy so I thought let me cut it exactly how I wanted it Jesus Take the Wheel I underestimated the curl of my hair it shrunk up to the point where it sticks straight up 😓😂
nunchukdaddy champion oh God, I HAVE DONE THAT!!!!
nunchukdaddy champion i had bangs for a while and I just straightened them all the time lol
😂😂😂
Same I’m still growing out my “bangs” 😔
😂😂😂
Thank you so much for this!!! I don’t dye my hair, but these are groomed things to know if I ever decide to!!
You’re awesome Bianca 🌺
I would also love to see a video on how to take care of your hair during the summer months especially for ladies like me who love swimming.
Thank you for the awesome advice
You’re a doll 🎀
Thanks for the "Curl Talk". I color my hair at home to blend grey. Ion has a great color range, including brights and pastels. They also have a Absolute Perfection Booster that restores moisture to assist in preventing breakage. I HIGHLY recommend Ion Products from Sally Beauty Supply.
Love love love!!!!!! Also been meaning to stop by and let you know I love your highlights 😍😍😍😍 this video was awesome! Can wait to experiment!!!! I have always died my hair... like my whole life but now that I know how to take care of my hair and no longer heat styling my curls are going to look so bomb!
i've been really tempted to color my hair lately and this video helped soo much, thank youu!
Still in the deep conditioning challenge 💪🏾
Team Bianca 💛💛💛
Thanks for the video I’ve been wanting to dye my hair for the longest, appreciate this😩
I always love all your videos ! Sadly I watched this video after I dyed my curls Ash Blond with the Pintura Highlights technique ! I loove my hair so much !
I recently dyed my hair and I used a box dye without ammonia, and the results were amazing. I love my color and it's moisturized since I deep condition :)
Gabriella Alexander If its not too late, what dye did you use?
Hey can I ask what dye you used?
Clairol Textures and Tones!
My hair is way curlier when it's dyed. Annoying actually. Because I now have had to learn how to do my hair all over again since I quit dyeing it.
im mesmerized by how beautiful your hair is
Thanks for doing this video Bianca! This made me feel way less apprehensive about getting color in my hair in the near future!!!
Bianca slaying as always😍😍
I had honey blonde highlights from the age of 18 until the age of 22 without any color damage, but I’m scared to get it colored again, because of damage as well as the hairstylist that did it back then wonderfully doesn’t do hair anymore but mainly because I don’t want to be bothered with caring for colored hair right now since I have so much going on with work & school and other things. Great, informative video which was a refresher for me, Bianca.
i lovveeeeeee your channel! its more than just tutorials, its sooo informative! Thank you! and your hilarious
You gave me hope for my dyed dreads thank you beautiful ♥️😌
OMG I actually bought a hair dye a few weeks ago and just letting it stay because i was scared of dameging my hair.. i will apply it today!!... i really needed this thank youuu🌸🌸
I've been a colored treated natural for my whole journey which I's 4 yrs and I only Dye my hair no more than 3 times a year. In the spring and summer I go honey blonde and fall and winter I go burgundy!!! Thank goodness I have never had color damage!! Love this!! Great topic!!
I absolutely love your videos! I got inspired by you and started my own UA-cam channel!! My first two videos are already up! THANK YOU! You do a great job! 😊
Oh my oh my this video is soooooo making me want to color my hair. I have virgin hair and have been so nervous about damaging it. My stylist said it’s healthy but still scared to ruin it. Thank you for the info .
This was super helpful especially since I’m getting a big dye and highlight job in a few months.
"You don't know what she's going through!"
😆 Love you girl!!! I am 28 and have so many white hair... I am tempted to color them but I feel so lazy...
You have Gorgeous hair whenever you dye it it is still as Gorgeous as ever curly queen
Your curls are so perfect ❤️
Your hair is so big and your curls are so defined!!! Please do a video about your routine. 🙏🦁❤️
Ugh I was waiting for this videoooo 🙌🏼 I wanna get honey brown highlights
I’ve been waiting for this video for the longest😭😭😍
Great talk, Bianca Baby Girl! The message is clear...Thank you very much...!!! 😘
Bianca you look so bomb 😍...
Every time I’ve ever used box dyes , it didn’t work. Weird thing is, I’ve even bleached AND colored my whole head about 5x in one week 😬 (yea I know I’m crazy) in the summer and I was in chlorine almost every other day. I didn’t get any damage 🤔 idk how but anyways, Deep conditioning is best friend especially when you use bleach . Ive done lavender, silver, blonde, red, pink, rose gold in less than a year and my hair is still poppin, don’t be afraid to experiment (I don’t advise doing it like me 😂 everyone’s hair is different)
Love the video! ❤ am Actually new to this stuff since am doing my big chope in 2-3 three days, am scared and worried. I was also going to dye my hair for the first time. Really did clear douts I had! ❤
3 years ago I needed to get crazy and change things up. I went for a pinkish purple look. I knew I'd have to get my hair bleached so I chose to do it on only the bottom 2/3 of it to keep my root nice and healthy. After the color faded, I loved the blonde it left behind. I kept it for a year before chopping it up, going back to my original hair.
I might do that again!
Literally choose your videos over all others because I trust you
I love your bangs!!!
Omg i swear you are the ultimate mind reader. I have bern fighting with this idea for forever, but I've bern talking about it all weekend. Im so scared lol smh like im finally getting the hang of things now and then boom, the game changes.
I was awaiting for you to post so happy you didddd😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 #snapfam #instafam #notifitionsquad
*You don't know what she's going through!!!* omg love you 😁
I'm bleaching my hair since a few years and I always used to straighten them every day. Since 2 months I'm on my curly hair journey and they are very healthy (deep conditioning!!) and my curls/waves look pretty nice. I can totally relate with you
How do you deep conditioning it ? And what do you use pls
I also like dying my hair because after I dye it it makes it easier for me to see the growth of my hair
hey bianca! i dyed my hair for the first time a few weeks ago using shea moisture dye, and i loved it, but since this clairol product is cheaper im gonna try it out!
I am not a licensed cosmetologist but I do go to cosmetology school, from what I was taught was that if you have previously dyed or colored you hair then some dark colors such as black have re-activator molecules which when a new color is applied the dark color reactivates and wont dye to the color desired. Mostly if you do go to dye or color your hair then you should wait 6 months for your hair to fully be healthy again and if you feel risky then to get the hair that has been dyed previously cut off to make it easier on you or your stylist.
Wow, haha I did not even think about testing out a curl to see how the dye would affect my hair. For a few weeks I have been contemplating adding highlights to my curls but since I have not done it before, I wasn't sure if it would come out the way I wanted it or the color. Great video! Was all I needed to hear!
Very helpful video, thank you so much. ❤️
Your hair looks awesomee!
This literally just gave me motivation to color my hair at 1:26 😂😂 I love it !
I used to dye my hair with box dye from 13-16 almost religiously and so last year I found out that my hair is curly and I’ve stopped dying my hair so I can fix my hair and make it completely naturally curly but I do miss dyeing my hair fun colors . I’m so happy u found this video for when I’m able to dye my hair again👌
dying my hair seriously made me regret all of the things i have done to my hair... i am now on my natural journey haha
Cake Face . You and me both lol I’ve done almost all the colors from pink to blue and bleach blonde, shaved my hair on the sides all that I’m glad I realized before it was to late
erika colon
omg same! i dyed my hair pink and blue before 😂. i had my hair purple. then it turned blonde. i think i had my hair red even 💀. now i’m natural and imma keep it that way for a while lol.
I regret bleaching my hair 😭
Sorry but I have to correct one thing. Whenever you lift your colour you will have to use a bleaching agent. In the product you used is a bleaching agent in low concentration. The higher the concentration, the stronger the colour lifting and the more agressiv. Thanks for the video and talking about porosity. Lightened hair no matter if straight or curly will be higher in porosity. And be careful with black. Black pigments will accumulate in your hair and make it stiff over time, after repeated dyeing. Bye 🤗
Kristin S thank you! She talks about how bad bleach is for you, but the product absolutely has bleach in it. I have really low porosity hair, will my hair be safer to bleach since the cuticles are usually pretty sealed? Safer than say someone with high porosity hair?
Stephanie Weeks it's not really a matter of porosity. The bleach will influence your hair quality negatively. Bleach opens the cutical and reacts with the pigments so the colour gets removed. If you have super healthy and low porosity hair the damage might!!! not be as noticeable and easier to care for than damaged high porosity hair. Be aware of what is happening and care correctly. With bleach the hair loosed pigments that protect against UV rays. Additionally the proteins are influenced in a way that they can not hold moisture as good and therefore loose flexibility. After bleaching you will need proteins to seal cutical gaps and moisture to get the proteins flexible again. Be aware of that if you want to bleach. Your hair will not be like before the bleaching process until it's grown out 😊
Kristen S : quick question, I have been covering my gray with 6nsagebrush brown herbaticals naturcolor, and I have noticed that my curls are only at the ends of my hair,,I wonder if I somehow coated and ruined my curls with this natural hair color?? 1) how can I get rid of the coating and bring back my curls 2) what brand of product do u recommend to cover my gray in the future? I really appreciate you!
Thank you for not spreading hate and giving constructive criticism
Im naturally blonde but love my hait black, thanks for the dye recommendation ❤️
Can you talk about if sulfates are really that bad for your hair? Please Bianca pleaseee, the video about silicones you did really helped me
I got blonde highlights in 2012 and 2013, from Fantastic Sams, when I relaxed my hair and it wasn't the best. I let it be until I started loving my curls in 2016 when I found your videos and others then got more. It looked okay but I finally dyed it back a little darker last year. It has gotten to be so much healthier since my stylist, who's Deva certified, used the right stuff. The blonde has come back a little and I've realized how much I miss it. I might have to give Clarisol a try since it has the right indeegients #snapfam #curlygirl
Waited alllll day for this ! 🍍🍍🍍🍍
My mom always dyed on dirty hair, since she was in her late 20s (she's early 70s now). And I did so too, when I still dyed mine. She still takes care of doing her hair herself. Her haircolor of choice now is Syoss (we can get that color in Belgium). I think it may be ammonia-free, but I'm not 100% sure.
I LOVE YOUR HONESTY 👍👍👍
thank you for this 😭😭 ive dyed my hair before but rn my hair is alll my natural color and i kinda wanna add highlights but ive been nervous on whether or not i wanna keep my hair my current color for a bit or change it. but this helps me a bit 💖 i also could never dye my hair on my own i need a stylist
Yesss I got highlights in October and I love it! But I wanna change it up now maybe get it darker or some other shade. I like switching up my hair from time to time that’s why. But even with color my hair has behaved and has looked pretty nice because I take care of it! #Deepconditiononceaweek 😘😘
I dye with same box you use and I only done it twice and I love the results. I been dying to go lighter in my hair once you put the video how to get highlights i went to get the color and love the way it looks on me. But just like you said you have to commit to deep conditioning for it to reduce the damage that it might cost.
Notif-GANG! #snapfam I might get a box or two and dye my hair whenever I'm ready.
You just make my day I love you so much make me so happy
This is perfect because I was just debating today whether I should re-dye my hair another colour!
Bianca I absolutely fell in love with you, your beautiful hair and the effort you put in your channel ♥️ well... I guess I‘m having a new hair color soon 😅😂😍
You can get foils with out heat! That’s what I do when I get my blond! it’s less damaging.. Lol loved this video:) 💜love you!
Appreciate your video 🤗and thank you for all the information 👍💕
I had beautiful tight curls prior to me adding highlights to my hair this past Christmas. I have to say that loved your blond highlights & sent your pic to my hairdresser saying this is what I would like to achieve. I was so excited & couldn’t wait to see my results. Omg I was shocked!! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. My tight curls were no more existent. I had no idea that putting blond highlights would change my curl pattern. I was so disappointed that I was not warned that this outcome could be possible or I definitely wouldn’t have taken that risk. Can you explain why this occurred? My hairdresser told me it’s normal but nothing more than that😏
Changes the structure of the strand by breaking down bonds.
Do lots of protein treatments
I'm so paranoid about dyes that I go darker and decided to just grow out my bleach patches (had purple streaks). I'm a natural dark ash blonde and I dye it black with demi permanent dyes. Protip for everyone: if you go to a salon, ask for Olaplex. My sections of hair that had bleach went from medium porosity to low.
xfortunesquex I have about the same natural color as you with some natural light highlights in it and I’m thinking about going darker but did it stain your natural color, even if it’s a temporary dye? That’s honestly what I’m most worry about
Wow..I'm sitting under the dryer now after putting Adore color in my hair, before the color, I did the Apoghee Two Step Treatment.
I have type four hair and I have been a red head for about 5 years now. I don't bleach my hair then use a red dye on top. I use a dye from L'oreal for dark hair only which lifts your hair slightly and deposits the red color onto your hair without too much damage. To touch up my hair I use the Ion brights red hair dye. It's been working great for me and my hair isn't damaged
Curls by Marie im going to bleach mines so I can get a burnt orange color but later imma go red and I’ll definitely try your method out. 😍 your hair is gorgeous
May I ask WHAT you had on your hair?! IT LOOKED SO DEFINED AND PRETTY 😍
probably finger coiling
@@dilankaya8710 the coils aren't all equal patterned so it's not finger coiling; maybe denman brush defining
Omg txh i needed this
Definitely want to try this :)
I have naturally blonde curly hair, and a few months ago I dyed it black/purple. It looks black when I'm inside, but when I'm outside it's super purple. I wash my hair with Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner and the color never fades! I love it 😂
i was scared to dye my curls but this video really helped
Gorgeous hair😍
You look amazing!!! as always #curlygurl #notificationsquad
Your hair is beautiful 🤩
Your hair looks so beautiful
Loved this 💗 💕 ❤️
😍 I love it thanks for the video
Omg your hair... my heart ❤
Love this! I'm using Sun-In actually it's coming along super slow but I'm ok with it. Since I don't use heat to dry my curls only bursts of warm in between the cool air so I can't wait till it's warm to head outside and air dry with the sun OHHH baby! ha... :)
if your hair is already you really have nothing to lose? also this was just one big ad for clairol. nexxxted
I've been wanting to dye my hair auburn 😁
I wish my hair were a tiny bit curlier 😭😭😭 your hair is so gorgeousssss
I legit had to chop all mine off Bc I didn’t know how to properly take care of it.
You look stunning 😍😍😍😍💛💛💛
After I dyed my hair it got frizzy my hair was never really frizzy before that my curls will clump but random strands will just be out of place I hate that it’s especially on the top
Can you give me some tips on how to keep highlights vibrant and long lasting ??
I loved coloring my hair it's so much fun. I use wigs to test all my colors before actually doing them
Smart!
Thanks for the great idea.
What did you use to get these GORGEOUS curls, mama??
I just dyed my hair. By myself, two wks ago. The last time I had anything done to it was 2 summers ago at a salon. I got highlights done, but within the last several months, it just started to look dull and boring ;) so I decided to go back to my natural hair color, dark brown. I used to use box dye in the past. The last time I used box dye was 6 yrs ago, but not this time, or anymore. I went into Sally Beauty Supply and got the demi permanent hair color by ION color brilliance. The color I chose was dark warm brown (3W). I was a little nervous because I had never mixed professional hair color before. Anyway, I just followed the directions and everything was fine. I was so happy with the results! My hair is a nice, rich dark brown color and I love it! No ammonia either in the demi permanent which is a plus. Overall, I don't recolor my hair every six momths or anything like that. It's very once in a blue moon I just do it for fun. As I mentioned earlier, last time I had anything done to my hair before going dark again, was going into the salon and getting highlights done, and that was 2 summers ago. My hair is dry and naturally curly, and I want to keep my hair healthy. So going as long as you can without coloring it is the best for your hair. 👍
I've been using the sun to bleach my hair every summer. I get my hair wet, and then dry it in the sun...every day. I LOVE IT! It happens very slowly, so doesn't damage my hair, and I'm slowly seeing the natural highlights come out. Also, AMBRE HONEY!!
Also, I use nothing but water to ash my hair, so getting it wet everyday isn't damaging to my strands either.
Call Me Swivel Hips you should put lemon on your hair
Wonderful information. Thanks so much.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I used it and it kinda made my curly straight ... and my mom did it since she is a professional
