I would like to hear and see you talk about curly gray hair. I just left my gray out this pandemic time and it is curly. Which is the best product for gray curly hair and it is short.
I need to know to! I started going gray early in life. It's the only reason I color. now. I don't want to damage my hair but I definitely want to cover my horribly gray roots!
Olaplex saved my hair. I bleached it so much I relaxed it! Like, literally just a limp wave in my hair instead of my natural curls like Mell. First time I tried olaplex I noticed the difference immediately. You won't regret it.
I don't even have dyed hair but I still love watching all of Mell's content just for her and Amanda's amazing personalities and the info they give. If I ever do decide to dye my hair it will be because of these two amazing sisters.
Mell I have to thank you for making a channel, in my 50 years on this planet I have fought with my hair and have had a denman brush before and had no clue how to use it properly. Thanks to your channel and recommendation of Olaplex and how to properly apply products, my hair has never looked so good. I am in need of a haircut but where I live the salons are shut down and I would never demand someone risk their health or the health of their family just for a hair cut, I can wait until it is safe, but in the mean time I will be taking better care of my hair (didn't mean to rhyme) now that I have learned so much more. Now I no longer hate my curls, or wish to torture my hair trying to straighten it. My curls have never looked better, my curls almost look as good as yours do. I love your curls, they are so beautiful and have shine, something my hair only have when I did the keratin straightening, which did damage and I had to have the stainless steel treatment to cure it of the damage. I look forward to Tuesday to see what you are teaching and watch as soon as I can, sometimes I am late to the party, like this week but I watch. After 15 years of coloring my hair without the proper care I had to stop coloring it because the density had been effected. I am interested in the fiber shampoo, conditioner and mask. Curl Smith and Olaplex has helped a lot. Thank you for turnin me on to those products. Your the best! Love yea!

PLEASE do a video on best at home gray root coverage! I started going gray in my teens, I recently got balayage on my hair in the first step to going full on blonde so my gray roots hopefully won’t be as noticeable in between root touch ups. My color fades after 1 washing and that’s with products for color treated hair. Within 2 weeks I have full on gray/white roots. The balayage definitely killed my curl pattern which I had just gotten healthy again after 3 years of babying my curls. Any tips, advice for us graying ladies would be much appreciated 🙏🏻

So...with Olaplex the best for curly hair is No 3 and No 6? I know there’s more-I wanted the holiday kit but it’s sold out everywhere I’ve looked! Just wanted to make sure. My hair is very thick, very voluminous, and falling around the 3a, b, and c patterns. Prior to all of the damage from straightening and denying my curls their natural love-I had between 3c and 4a tight curls. I’m trying to get those back-at least to get the very bottom of my hair out of the 3a range. And more of a uniform 3b/3c. I also have to say thank you so much. Both of you! I’ve followed you for quite some time and have BROUGHT MY CURLS BACK! It’s been a journey since August of last year. And I get so many compliments. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve said “MANES BY MELL” to. I’m still having issues with differing areas of my hair where the curls are differing in their curl pattern. This has been my biggest issue-so much so I haven’t had ANY COLOR in over two years! I have been cutting my hair at home (thanks to your video on how to cut your curls)-I’m trying to grow out my bangs because they’re kind of a mess. I’m hoping the Olaplex will help? I use the blue fanola and it's great for making my grey hair look silver. It leaves a slight blue residue which gives the optical illusion of silvery white. On my warm brown hair it turns it an awesome mushroom brown with no coppery colors.

Got my package of your Fanola kit today. That was quick! My shampoo spilled a little so I have an email into customer service, but all the other products are good. Unfortunately they have way too much fragrance for me. It’s not a light scent, but a very heavy perfume. I haven’t opened anything but the shampoo that spilled is overwhelming. The good news is my seester isn’t sensitive to fragrance so she will be getting a new set. Hopefully a fragrance free or unscented set will be an option!! Love your videos!
Is this a serious question? You cannot lighten ANY HAIR with out bleach..much less really dark hair....color only deposits color. Bleach is the only thing that can lighten your hair, dark or not. No magical "product" exists that will lighten your hair with no bleach
This would depend on if your hair is virgin, or not. Color does lift color up to 4 levels, if your hair is virgin hair. It is all about the developer, No lightener/ bleach needed. However if it's already colored like Mell has already stated its permanent. You must then lift it with lightener/bleach.

Demi Semi Lemme spill the tea...Mell do over needed!!😆 I rewatched but everything was going so quickly which is understadable u have a lot to cover But what I was able to grasp was that color will inevatably fade and possibly damage your hair. So the best solution may be to resist coloring altogether. And if u must color. Do not get a hairache over maintaince... but instead use a shampoo and conditioner that is color sensitive, protect your hair from the sun and treat it and seal it.. But Mell this raises more questions: ⭕Can these products survive winter, spring ,summer...? ⭕How often should this be done? ⭕How does this tie into your regular routine? I use the blue fanola and it's great for making my grey hair look silver. It leaves a slight blue residue which gives the optical illusion of silvery white. On my warm brown hair it turns it an awesome mushroom brown with no coppery colors.

Got my package of your Fanola kit today. That was quick! My shampoo spilled a little so I have an email into customer service, but all the other products are good. Unfortunately they have way too much fragrance for me. It’s not a light scent, but a very heavy perfume. I haven’t opened anything but the shampoo that spilled is overwhelming. The good news is my seester isn’t sensitive to fragrance so she will be getting a new set. Hopefully a fragrance free or unscented set will be an option!! Love your videos!
HEY MEL! What products do you recommend for lighting really dark hair without having to use bleach?
Is this a serious question? You cannot lighten ANY HAIR with out bleach..much less really dark hair....color only deposits color. Bleach is the only thing that can lighten your hair, dark or not. No magical "product" exists that will lighten your hair with no bleach

This would depend on if your hair is virgin, or not. Color does lift color up to 4 levels, if your hair is virgin hair. It is all about the developer, No lightener/ bleach needed. However if it's already colored like Mell has already stated its permanent. You must then lift it with lightener/bleach.

Hair that has not been colored before can be lightened with color and high lift color is what Mel was using on Amanda’s dark hair previously.

Any chance you can compile a list of products you like ? Products ( from shampoo to sealing and everything in between) ranging from high end to drugstore prices? Also add details after each one ( or put them in categories in a chart ) like glycerine free, protein free, humidity resistant ...etc... I watch all your videos and have tried to stay on top of most of your product recommendations but a list all in one place would be fabulous! 😁

I rewatched but everything was going so quickly which is understadable u have a lot to cover
But what I was able to grasp was that color will inevatably fade and possibly damage your hair. So the best solution may be to resist coloring altogether.
And if u must color. Do not get a hairache over maintaince... but instead use a shampoo and conditioner that is color sensitive, protect your hair from the sun and treat it and seal it..
But Mell this raises more questions:
⭕Can these products survive winter, spring ,summer...?
⭕How often should this be done?
⭕How does this tie into your regular routine?
And so many more
