Today we’re going to create DIY Car Freshies! These are so fun to make and they smell great! You can get a good 4-6 weeks of scent out of these depending on the temp and humidity. Enjoy in the car or in your home!
Other great Car Freshie tutorials that I watched when researching for this video are listed below. You may also find these helpful.

👉Fragrance Oils Used: (these are all the fragrance oils I’ve tried so far)
Dulce Pumpkin: sweet, warm, snickerdoodle cookies with some pumpkin spice vibes, very warm and welcoming scent. I think a lot of people would like this scent.
Flannel: this was my favorite out of the 6. It’s supposed to be like the Bath and Body Works flannel scent I think? It’s like crisp green apple, fresh smelling with some musky fall undertones. My whole family liked this scent.
Butt Naked: This supposedly is a really popular scent. Not my fave at all. It smells like bubblegum I think?? Like a sweet, kind of cheap smell. Kind of reminds me of the scent stuff they used in kid’s bathroom scent diffusers in daycares. Some will know exactly what I mean lol!
Black Raspberry Vanilla: This is a pretty standard scent. Not really similar to most BR Vanilla scents I’ve smelt. It didn’t blow me away but I feel like a lot of people would probably like this. Not as strong as the other scents I got.
Hawaiian Blast: Reminded me of the Butt Naked on I got but almost more sugary sweet smelling?? This was more pineapple smelling than I thought it would be. I think it smells better after being baked though.
Diva: I threw the whole thing away. It smelt like a mix between Angel perfume and a nursery scent. 10/10 would not recommend it.

Nature soap has some amazing oils at reasonable prices!!! Their mica is down right amazing they pigments are 😮😮😮😮
What a fun idea. I really enjoyed how you presentation. Very clear instructions. Thank you 😊
I accidentally found this video & immediately subscribed. It's clear & well narrated in ur smooth voice. You give excellent video instruction, even moreso than televised craft programs I've watched. I can honestly see you in ur own tv program! And no, I've never stated that before to other you-tubers! Can't wait to watch more!
You’re so kind! Thank you so much ☺️
i truly enjoyed this video. it was very detailed yet very informative. Thank You so Much!!!!!
I'm so glad. Thank you for watching ❤️
I started making these as Christmas gifts and now I’m addicted! They are so fun.
They are! thanks for watching!!
Thank you!!!! I have been thinking about these for a while!!! Sorry some people have nothing better to do than to try and bring others down! I love all of your tutorials!!!💕
thank you so much Tiffany!!
I never understand the thumbs down. Always great turtorals. These are so cute. Thank you!!
Thank you so much ❤️🥰❤️
Where do y9u get the clip for the vent?
amzn.to/3YqAhFv
I’m so glad you’re doing it by weight!! A lot of ppl start by doing it by volume.. even I use to do it. And learned it’s always by weight 😊 once they dry (where the beads don’t stick to the side) it’s good to let it cure for an extra 3 days. Ive learned that as well.
Great advice!! Thank you so much ☺️
Just when I think I have seen it all in crafting. Love your tutorials.
thank you so much!
Thanks so much I’m so excited to try. !!
Loved the Tutorial I haven't try yet but will soon
Do you have a video teaching how to use the app also sharing your laptop screen for Cricut? Lots of crafts don’t know these features. These how to videos would help me as well! I really enjoyed this video. Very easy to follow. Awesome teacher
Thank you ☺️ I don’t do a lot of Cricut tutorials on my channel but there are a lot here on UA-cam from different creators that are amazing
That’s so funny! I just spent hours searching for car freshie tutorials just two days ago! This video would have saved me so much time! I’ve ordered supplies (coincidentally from the same supplier-so if they’re Jessica approved, I feel I made the right choice in picking them) and can’t wait to follow your tutorial! It’s definitely one of the most thorough! Thank you for all your creativity and for sharing it! Love your videos!
So glad! thank you so much!!
Wow I’ve had so many ask if I do these!! Never knew where to start till now. Thank you so much, yours are adorable. Love, love watching your videos. I don’t comment much just watch. But this is awesome. Can’t wait to try these...
Glad it was helpful! thank you so much
Peak also has wide selection an quality smelling fragrance oils
These will make sure great little gifts for the holidays! And awesome freebies for customers 😁
Thank you ☺️
I am enjoying watching all of your videos. You give clear and easy to understand directions! I have made air fresheners before but used water beads. Ehh they were ok..but these look so much better and I can't wait to try these!! Great little gifts for school teachers. Thank you!
Thank you 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for sharing it step by step, big help.
Thank you for watching
I just watched this video and ordered my aroma beads I sell young living and have tons of oils so excited Thank You!!!! Keep up the great ideas!
Please don’t use essential oils in these! They don’t have the same flash point as the fragrance oils and can combust in the oven
Flynn Sisters Boutique omg great to know Thank You!!
Love this. I didn't realize how simple they really were! thanks for another way to use up stuff i have already. Wonder if you could put glitter in them too? shoot i'm gonna try it what it gonna hurt, right! Thanks for taking the time to make this video for us! Screw the haters!
yeah you could but it might have some fall out!! I tried a really fine glitter and had some problems with it absorbing with baking. The pumpkin one has like a large flake sparkle mica so it's kind of like glitter!!
Flynn Sisters Boutique well I mean we do have glitter all over this house anyway. Might as well spread it to my family and friends too😂
I really liked this. I’ve been trying to find small inexpensive items to take to my craft shows. I want to soften the shock of decorated tumblers. And they stick around your booth a little bit longer if there’s little stuff to be looking through.
definitely a great add on item!!
Thank you so much! I have a boutique and these are expensive to buy wholesale and easy to make
Definitely save yourself the $
I order from Lone Star for my business. The fragrance oil is indeed actually 1oz. However, they use a specific scale and setting for their measurements; So home scales read a little bit under.
oh interesting! thank you!!
You create the most adorable tutorials
Thank you!
This was very help for I’m starting a small business and this explains everything I need to do and get thank you!
Happy to help! Thank you for watching 😊
Okay Jessica - I know what happens when you do a tutorial. I’ve already ordered my supplies before they sell out 😆. Since I’m retired, I do mostly gifts This sounds like a fun project and your video gives me insights on the process. Thanks!!
lol thank you so much for watching. Have fun!!!
Okay sis!!!! I am super excited about this!! Love watching your videos!!!!!
Yay! Thank you!
You never disappoint! Love the tutorial, as I do with ALL of your tutorials! I plan to try this at some point. Thank you and continue to be great! ❤️
Thanks so much 😊
This was great, I been tryin to find out about "do i need a thermometer for candle making?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Panlijah Inconceivable Position - (just google it ) ? It is a good one of a kind guide for discovering how to become a candle making master and turn a profit minus the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my colleague got amazing results with it.
I have never seen anything like this. I am so excited to buy everything and try it! Thank you so much for the tutorial.
thanks so much for watching!!
I've always wanted to learn how to make these and came upon your tutorial! Thank you for sharing!
oh awesome! thanks for watching!!!
Thank you for this!!! Honestly the best video I have seen I make car freshies so this was really helpful 🙂
Thank you so much ☺️
Love this!! I use to make candles and have a lot of supplies already. Definitely going to give this a try! 💕💕
yeah awesome!! thanks for watching!
So fun and cute! You always do such a great job going through every step. Thank you so much for taking the time to share and inspire! 🤩🤩
Thanks so much 😊
That little pumpkin is so dang cute!
thank you :-)
So cute! I ordered supplies to make these. I appreciate you showing us how to do this.
Thank you for watching 😁
Love your tutorials. I was trying to find the Over App you are using, no joy. Looks easy to use. Of course I’m searching on my apple iPad Pro, maybe not available or I just missed it. Would like more info on that app. Thank you.
They changed the name of it to the GoDaddy Studio App 😊 thank you
I'm addicted to your channel!!! I have to try this; thank you for the vid!!
thank you so much!
Oh my goodness, I can't believe you threw Diva out!! That is my favorite scent. I buy the laundry soap from Tyler Candle Company and mix it into my unscented laundry soap. It is very strong, that's why I dilute it.
lol i just didn't like it but I think the TCC version is probably better than this one!!
Im happy you used mica because i have alot! One tutorial used candle color and i didnt want to buy that because i dont know if i want to sale these for my business or how they would do so i wanted to make one scent first and when my micas run out im going to buy from simply sarah those colors are nice and super pigmented and a great amount thank u for sharing 💛💛
Glad I could help! I have a ton of mica so this is a great way to use it up!!
This is so neat! I would’ve never known this! Thank you for always giving us amazing content!
thanks so much for watching!!
Ur amazingly talented! I love love watching ur videos!! Can u please tell me what size the scent free bags are?
I got 4”x6” ☺️
oh my gosh! I just tried these for my first time! I had no idea the scent was going to be so strong coming out of the oven!😝😝😅😅
Lol yeah we open the windows on frshie day
@@FlynnSistersBoutique i wish I could right now. its too cold in Ohio lol
🥶🥶
First time seeing these! Super excited to try them.
thank you!!
I have a question:
Since they last 4-6 weeks. How do you store them so they don’t lose their scent ?? Or the time starts counting once the customer takes it out of the packaging since they will be sealed ?? Please let me know if possible !!
Love the video !!! Really good information.
The time would be once they’re taken out of the packaging. They don’t last longer than a few months in a sealed package.
@@FlynnSistersBoutique thank you so much for the reply !!! Your videos are amazing !!
I love your videos and your air fresher. Xxoo
thank you!!
What is name of the app used to make the label font before uploading to cricut?
Go Daddy Studio App
Loved this video and want to give it a try! Question...what would be a fair selling price?
I’d say between $8-$12 depending on the detail added! Thank you ☺️
Thank you!, I’m looking for something new to do! Great idea!
Hello! Thank you for the video. Do you recommend it to start a business? Also where can I get the stick? Is there any particular nail it needs to be used?
So cute, I don’t see the beads in the link for the wax that you suggested. Am I just missing it? 🤔
Thanks! Yes, it’s in the description box. These aren’t wax either 😊 here’s the link -

I’m excited!!! These are SO cute ❤️😍 and so simple. Thanks for showing how to make them
Glad you like them!
Great tutorial! I’d also note not to use the same oven you cook/bake in. Also don’t place them on clothing, car dashes, & dressers, etc. The oils can eat through the material. Don’t ask me how I know. 😂
Great tip! thank you!
Would a small toaster oven work for these since it’s not recommended to use your regular oven?
Krista Peace yes! As long as you don’t put food you eat in it. :)
Erika Moore thank you!! I’ve never used the toaster oven even though I just “had” to have it 😂 what a great way to make use of it! Thanks Jessica for the tutorial as well!
Hi, love your tutorial,💖 can I use regular heat proof silicone moulds? Or do they need to be the thick silicone ? X
regular heat proof will work just fine! thanks!
Where did you ge the stir stick you use to mix and get mica powders
You can find them under the tools of the trade section of my amazon favorites www.amazon.com/shop/flynnsistersboutique
I never thought about coloring the beads after! I hate that I have a lb of purple glitter beads when it's a fall scent and should have done more fall colors lol
you know i gotta have ALL the colors lol. thanks so much for watching!!
@@FlynnSistersBoutique this actually made me think about trying to recolor the stuff I have already scented. Worse case, they are ugly and I just use them lol
Thanks for doing these!! I’ve wanted to make them and have watched a few videos..Love watching you,you are so thorough!!♥️🦋
Thanks so much 😊
What a cute gift!!! I’ve never seen these. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Such a great and easy to understand tutorial!
Thank you
I’m wanting to make some to sell in my local booth but I’m having a hard time deciding on scents…. If anyone has any top selling scents please let me know. Thanks in advance
Can’t wait to try these. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching ☺️
What about the curing process?
I'm not sure what you mean.
Oh my God Jessica I’m going to be broke with your videos 🤦🏻♀️🥰 I love everything you make ✨💕 Thanks Girl (Whatever 🤣)
lol!! thank you so much!!! 😚
I really like you video!
Thank you!
Omg! I am going to start making these. Love these!
Thank you 🙏
Omg thank you for posting this. I was always wondering how these were made...thank you thank you
No problem 😊
So Cute! Can the scent be refreshed??
unfortunately no
Thank you. I loved your instructions!
Glad it was helpful!
waoooo this is amazingggg, i asume that silicone molds can be use too, thanks for teaching so make pretty things! loveIt
Yes 😊 as long as they're oven safe you sure can! thanks for watching!
Flynn Sisters Boutique thanks!! 😍🌹
You did amazing explaining everything! Thank you!
Thank w
This is so fun and different, thanks so much! ☕️👊👏🤘🤩
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can you use essential oils?
I haven't. I'm not sure.
Does baking batches after one another effect the scents of your freshies or cooking food in your oven?
no they don't. If you were going to do this full time I would probably get a dedicated oven though. the scent dissipates really quickly
So excited to try some of these
Yay 😁
Can I use essential oils as well or does it have to be strictly fragrance oil?
I kept reading and found the answer lol! So good to know because I have a ton of essential oils and was sure about to try it with them.
Yes 🙌 best to use the fragrance oils ☺️
I've so been wanting to try these! Thank you so much for doing this video!
Hope you enjoy! thank you so much for watching!!
Can u bake 2 different car freshie scents at the same time?
Yes!!
Silly question here. How does baking these in your oven not ruin your oven? I mean the mica and the scent together plus the plastic beads?! Doesn’t this ruin the oven?
Thx.
no, it dissipates really quickly and it's not in there at really high heats for extended periods of time.
Super cute! Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
Can’t wait to give it a try!! Thank you!!!
Have fun! Thank you for watching!
Hi, loved your video! Can you tell me what machine you used to make your label? 💗
Cricut explore air 2
cannot find the over app. do you have a link?
It is now called GoDaddy Studio
Yes one wk was a long time to get beads to soak up fragrance. It takes mine about 24 hours. I’m from MS idk if that makes a difference or not
Yeah iDK if its just my environment or maybe those beads?? It took a really long while.
Flynn Sisters Boutique I bet the beads had something to do with it
@@donnablanton6435 yeah. i just ordered some beads from buyitshipit so we'll see how those do here!!
So cute!! How many of the mini freshies can you make per pound of beads?
I’m not sure about the mini ones I’m sorry
How long once you infuse the beads do they last?
About 6 months
Can we use bath and body works oils on freshie beads? Like the little bottles of oils that they sell to burn over a tea candle or diffuse
No definitely not. Those don’t have the appropriate flash point
Great video one of the best I have seen.
Thank you for sharing how to make these are excited to give them a try!! I have one question what is the scent that you would use that smells similar to black ice?
I’m not sure but I bet if you contacted my friends at stay fresh with peanut (link and code in the description box) they could probably recommend a good one!
@@FlynnSistersBoutique ok, thank you! I sure will.
Soo stinking cute!!! Can’t wait to make these ❤️
Yay! Thank you!
About how many freshies can you make with 4 oz of aroma beads? :)
depends on the size of cutter but usually 5-8
I noticed online at the lonestar supply you suggested, that they say to use 16:2 ounce ratio of aroma beads to oil. I'm new to making these so I didn't know if it's better to use less beads to more fragrance?
Can I use my candle or soap fragrances for these? 🙂
I'm not sure about that. they would have to have the same flash point as these fragrance oils.
Very cute. And inexpensive!!! Roughly how many freshies were you able to get out of one jar?
About 5!! Not including all the extra supplies to get started they're pretty dang cheap!! I plan on gifting them around the holidays!
@@FlynnSistersBoutique thats great. especially from a selling standpoint!!! Thanks for the ideas! I wouldve never thought of this!!!
@@FlynnSistersBoutique for the font you used in the app, did you have to download it from somewhere else or from rhe app? I'm unable to find it. Thanks for all you do!☺
@@christinarogers8285 that font is from Fontbundles.com it's called lovely adventures and it's really easy to load it into your app :-)
@@FlynnSistersBoutique thank you ma'am!!!
I have a quick question. Could I also bake botanicals into these for more decoration? Or would that be a disaster?
I’m not sure 🤔 I’ve never seen anyone do that.
Hi, what was the app you used for your fonts? Thank you for the tutorial. I will be making these for Christmas.
In this tutorial I was using OverApp. thanks for watching!
Awesome! Can’t wait to try!
thank you!!
What are you using to add in the power and for mixing it?
It’s just a stainless steel stir stick
Love love love your videos watch everyone!!! I am interested in making these but was wondering how long they could sit in the jar once they are cured and hold the sent ? Just trying to get some info on how long once I get the beads made I have before they need to be sold and if you have any info on how long they last in your car? Thank you for any advice or tips 😊
I’d say about 6 months!
Cute idea!
Thank you! 😊
What tools did you use to stir with.
It’s a stainless steel coffee stir sick you can find them on Amazon
