- 10 tooth Max-torque racing clutch install / Predator 212
Installed A 10 tooth racing clutch on the Predator 212. I wanted to see
if I could get the scare chair to do A wheelie again after taking off the torque converter.
It went from a 5:1 ratio to a 6:1 ratio.
Engine mods include GX160 head, superman series cam, Shaft mounted rocker arms with included pushrods, Billet rod a flywheel, Mikuni carburetor, and a header pipe.
Parts used -

man i love that puller, could you give me a description of that puller and maybe the link to buy one? love the video, very nice work
Thanks! I picked up that puller years ago off of one of the tool trucks that used to come by. I was looking and they have some three claw pullers at Harbor freight that would work for pulling clutches. i
That's fast for the 30 second test. I never thought to try a smaller clutch or bigger sprocket. But I'ma try to do it for my ct100u and this my first time seeing this type mini bike or uhh.. rocket chair and I now I want one
Ya, seems like the clutch makes a big difference on that rocket chair.
I have some videos coming up with the Coleman 3 h.p engine you might like .
Wow man that cool fast and spin out get to 40 real quick!!!! Love it!!!
Check out this video of it with a torque converter. It does wheelies
ua-cam.com/video/dINewgKuzkg/v-deo.html
Officer: “do you know why I pulled you over?”
Black66: “I guess I was going a lil too fast down that road…”
Officer: “No. I pulled you over because you’re driving a chair sir.”
Lol
You didn't know one tooth could make that big of difference nice ride
I kinda liked the torque converter better . It would pull wheelies .
If the brass bushing is bad in the max torque clutch ss 15 tooth can I just by the drive sproket and just replace that because it comes with the new bushing
When you took that chain guard/fender off I thought it ran off propane 😂
what's your feel for using the impact for tightening Vs a torque wrench?
Where are you tightening the chain at ? I can’t see where you are turning it and what bolt or Guage
Hey 66 I love your channel and all of the great information you provide. But does it wheely with the race clutch
Thanks!! No, it does not wheelie with the clutch. But it does with a torque converter in a big way. Check out this video. ua-cam.com/video/dINewgKuzkg/v-deo.html
Love your machine. I am in the process of starting one of myself what did you use or tire size and rim size if you don’t mind me asking
Thanks! Ya, it is unique . I use a five inch rim with a 11x7.10-5 tire.
@@Black66 thanks
Is 15 tooth clutch and 68 or 72 speocket good?
Great video, I was wondering if you could make a video explaining gearing on a mini bike both for 1/8 and 1/4 Mile racing. Thank you.
Thanks! here is one video on gearing. ua-cam.com/video/xV8i59aGUao/v-deo.html
@@Black66 thank you
Question, what the the four tapped holes in the side of the engine that are under the clutch. Mine has them too and I can’t forgive out what they are
Pto bolts they use on pressure washers and other stuff
How many spacers did it come with to go between the shoe and drum
It came with two spacers .
What kind of rpms do you think you are turning on the 212? And are you stage 1 or anything?
Not really sure. I have so many videos on this thing I can't remember the setup that was on it.
What clutch (# of teeth) would you recommend for a 32" wheel base minibike with a 62 rear sprocket ?
I think it boils down to what you want to do with the bike. Like top speed or low-end torque or somewhere in the middle? And how Many RPMs the engine is capable of and tire height. Just a standard 12 tooth clutch with a 62 rear gear with an 11 inch tall tire at around 7200rpm, the bike will run around 45 MPH. But if you want top speed on that same bike, with a 17 tooth clutch, the bike will do around 65 MPH. Check out this calculator. You can plug in tire sizes and engine RPM's to kinda nail down a combo you like for what you want the bike to do. www.gokartsupply.com/ratios.htm
@@Black66 Thanks ! That was actually really helpful.
Have you ever tried doing a clutch and chain vs a torque converter on a mb 200?
I have some MB200 videos on the channel. I didn't
do a video with a torque converter on this bike yet.
I'm gonna order this clutch in a couple days, if you see this could you let me know if it's for a #35 chain. I'm pretty sure it is.
Yes it is
Fellow Kingmaner here. What app are you using for speed tests? I hope to see you around town sometime.
What's up man! I use digiHUD on the phone along with the camera GPS for top speed and a Dragy performance meter for 0 to 30
Dostum kolay gelsin. Ön dişli 12 t arka dişli 20 t olan croskartım var. Güçsüz ama hızlı.arka dişliyi 42 t yapsam güç problemi çözülür mü
Just curious what’s the difference between this clutch a 22$ Amazon clutch and a 500$ 3 disc clutch?
I think it depends on who your asking. One is made for high RPM and easy adjustability with big holding power. For the average guy having fun on a minibike I like the $22 Amazon clutch
Can I have the link to where you bought this and will it fit on a predator 212 mini bike
Yes, it will fit a minibike., I put the link in the description
dont get the 13tooth max torque it dosnt have a key in it and hard to get on the spinner shaft
Here we go again. Can’t you just leave well enough alone. 😂😂😂
That chair looks like a fine ride. When are you gonna put a big block on it.
I can never leave well enough alone lol. Every time I put something together I have a new idea and have to rip it apart.lol
Since this video, the ScareChair has a Predator Hemi on it with a torque convertor. In a video coming up lol
@@Black66 awesome
Don’t know much but I have this go cart with a 12 tooth clutch. And I need a bolt for it but don’t know what bolt it is

@@Black66 thank you🙏🏽
Late question but, did you have any problems with the bushing-less clutch?
No problems at all if you keep oil on it.
@@Black66 oil? I thought it's supposed to be lubed with anti seize
@@ManhatanProj3ct Never had a problem with the clutch as long as I kept it oiled. As a matter of fact, probably the longest lasting clutch I have had on the channel out of about 25 minibikes so far!
I installed one of these things on my stock predator swapped cc100x and they haul ass
It would be cool if u did a video on that😉
I have the same clutch on my 212 but 14 tooth it has a stage one kit upgraded springs and better piston I’m mounting it on a mini bike frame u think it’ll wheelie easily?
Oh ya, if it's a small frame bike I bet it wheelies. But I think it will be more manageable with the 14 tooth versus the 10. I think a 14 is a better all-around clutch.
I put this clutch on the small frame Coleman bike and was doing 0 to 30 in the 2.5-second range. It was super quick.
@@Black66 I got the 14 cuz It was right in the middle of my options so I figured I would get sum top end speed and sum torque on top of that
@@stepbrosnowz Ya, that is a good choice. For a kart or minibike.
@@Black66 I have a go kart frame but where I live its illegal to ride and the cops be hitting people off there bikes so I’m not gonna hot on a kart ima catch a crash bar to the face 😂
@@stepbrosnowz Lol, minibikes are for sure easier to ride
that thing is a Beast Master LoL
lol. Thanks! Did you check out the other video? ua-cam.com/video/dINewgKuzkg/v-deo.html
do you recommend these max torque clutches quality and reliability?
I haven't had any problem with them. I think they are pretty good clutches for the money.
@@Black66 better then stock clutch coleman uses?
@@mbarnes931 I haven't had either break on me yet . One thing about these clutches is if they do break , they are inexpensive to replace.
Bubba grab a set of tires so you can keep making videos...... those are a lil dry 👀.... Love the clutch swap tho, been thinking of grabbing this for my one wheel peel.
Lol you are right ! I have some tires for it , just need to put them on. These are a little dated
Ya, grab that clutch. You will love it!
i wanna make sure i get the good stuff man theres so many dam clutchs the 212 motor has a 3/4 bore or 5/8 because the clutch i got for my 3.5 is a 5/8 i believe
3/4
@@Black66 so they dont make a 10tooth for my 80cc motovox engine its 5/8 shaft
@@Spacecruizer203 Are you running a 35 chain?
@@Black66 yes gold one
@@Spacecruizer203Another option... Every tooth you go down on the clutch is equivilent to adding 6 teeth on the rear sprocket. So instead of trying to find a ten tooth clutch. You could always add a universal sprocket hub to the rear, and put a split sprocket on there thats 6 tooth bigger. Or just add a bigger rear sprocket without the sprocket hub.
do u need the 420 chain for the 10t
No, it’s a 35 chain ten tooth . But I would recommend the 11 tooth or bigger for everyday riding because the 11 tooth and up have a bushing in the clutch . The ten tooth does not . So you have to constantly lube it
@@Black66 cant find a ten tooth 3/4 tho man im trying to build this beast my last thing is clutch and chain setup for this Beast ducar 212 lol
i wanna do this to my moms wheelchair lol
So how fast can you go
It depends on how I gear it, but I've had it close to 50. It's pretty sketchy at those speeds
I run a 10tooth on a 3500rpm max torque clutch...212cc predator stage 4..265 hotcam...and I can pull wheelies all day long lol
Sounds like a fun bike!
Bigger rear sprocket in the back
That would definitely make it wheelie again.
Can I enter it in the rodeo...lol
My friend you wear on the job once ? I’ll tell you to sure ways that I think I know. Have a good day
Check out the Predator 224 playlist ua-cam.com/video/45Eu29F8V3g/v-deo.html
Start the engine then sand it
10 tooths are scary to run on a mini bike
Ya, they are. They make it super quick. I have a video coming out. I put one on the Coleman bike just to see what it would run like.
@@Black66 mine just burns out and pops wheelies when I give it 1/4 throttle 😂
Step 1: DON’T USE A PULLER!!!
The only thing holding the basket on is a snap ring, if there is any resistance you will most definitely break the snap ring…
Check out the playlist on the channel. I use many clutches and pullers. Thanks for watching! ua-cam.com/video/z5_0F4tSO5M/v-deo.html
i know NM when i see NM he must live in gallup or sum place wita lota dirt cuhz abq aint like dat
Check out this video shot in AZ ua-cam.com/video/Ydhffwsk-SE/v-deo.html
its a 70 dollar clutch man
You don’t need the racing clutch . You can get a 12 tooth Max-Torque for less than half the price of the Racing clutch .
I will guarantee you that the ten tooth will not have enough top speed if your running a really big sprocket on the back . A ten tooth will make it really quick , but you will sacrifice top speed .
@@Black66 dude its coming tommaro should i do a lil weird unboxing
