Foster has always been considered a thoughtful architect. His early works, although smaller, do reflect his concern for the well being of the user. However, his later works, considerably larger and more complex, are much more grandeous and to my way of thinking further removed from what where Foster's earlier primary core values. Most disappointing for me are the enormous proposed projects for Middle East countries, Moscow, and satellite Soviet countries. As a retired architect I had hoped Foster would have channeled his and his firm's talent in a different direction.

You need to understand that tuition was free at British Universities post war. But entry was very competitive so only 5% of those eligible entered. I was one of those lucky ones who went to art college for free and even had a living allowance paid through the holidays. After fifty years as an educator, designer, university Dean of art and design I am now retired. Foster is one of my heros.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. It’s interesting how architecture can spark such passionate debates. Norman Foster, like other great architects, has left a distinct mark on contemporary design, although I understand that not everyone connects with his style or vision. The beauty of architecture lies in its diversity, allowing both classicism and modern trends to coexist and enrich our built environment. Thank you for joining the conversation!
Very informative but a few glitches suggest the presentation might have passed through a digital processor. The larger the number of Foster's buildings which pass chronologically before my eyes, the less I engage with them but I strongly admire his early buildings. Foster's work is of its time; and that is the late twentieth century
Thank you for your feedback! I’m glad you found the video informative. I appreciate your insight about the progression of Foster’s work and can understand how his early buildings, with their pioneering use of technology and materials, might resonate more with you. His work has certainly evolved over time, reflecting the changing priorities and architectural trends of each era. It’s true that many of his iconic designs are rooted in the late 20th century, but it’s interesting to see how he has continued to push boundaries, even as architecture has become more global and sustainable. Your point about the digital glitches is also noted-I’ll make sure to address that in future presentations. Thanks again for watching and sharing your thoughts!
I was very glad to find this channel focusing on architecture, but I'm finding that the numerous mispronunciations And poor, unnecessarily repetitive dialogue really detract from This channels potential. There seems to be some kind of formula where information is stretched out unnecessarily. Another problem are the visuals-not enough time is being spent to collage the pictures and make the narrative move visually. This is a very sophomoric effort, and I'm wondering if AI in its developmental stages is part of the problem.
Thank you for your comment, and I can asure that I am bot an AI and content generation. I am an architect who loves learn and prepare these documents to explain the real live and work of the masters. Very good work, I loved this documentary, it takes on an holistic approach to the story, gives background information and gathers all the characters involved with Norman Foster. Few things: Firstly, text seems to be prepared by AI, probably chatgbt, because I pick up the phrases chatgbt loves to use. Maybe you can differentiate phrases. Secondly, the pace can be sped up, we might not need a streched elegant explanation for each project. Great work and keep it up!

The videos are nice, generic overviews - generic in the sense of AI generated script (certainly), illustration and narration (possibly). Nothing bad or shameful about that... Except that it should be announced for transparency - ideally at the beginning of this 1 hr video but latest in credits at the end. "An AI-generated review of the work of Sir Norman Forster produced by the Miami achitecture and real estate agency Fernandez Architecture," (or similar) would be helpful to put the film, its sources and the opinions expressed therein into perspective. Curious, I did a quick search to find out more about the producers of the video and could not help but notice that the large majority of the visuals and t as well as portfolio of projects presented on the Fz Architects site are digital renderings.
Wow, How I can start with this long comment, really, I don't understand what amount of doubts about the work done and probably because you are not an expert in the field. Let me answer to explain you. Starting with the videos, thank you, information, documents, etc... are based on my research, study and work knowing the architects, reading books, and practice architecture since 2003 officially as an Architect in Spain and from 2017 in Georgia and Florida (USA). So all are real pictures, explanation and no AI creation. Only the voice is created by AI to do a better english. All other information are genuine. If you considere that all pictures from Norman Foster works and competitions are created by AI is beacuse you really do not know Foster's architecture. The second part of the comment. We are an Architecture and Interior design Firm based in Miami Beach. Also we do Real Estate due our clients search, buy and sell our projects and we do the complete service. The renderings that you see in my work are real, our projects, unfortunally I have never expected the time needed in this City (Miami) to complete a revision process and construction execution. Our projects are in construction right now being finishing a few of them that shortly I will (The architect, Joaquin Fernandez, Architect, AIA, NCARB, LEED GA) show and explain because most of them has been published in Architecture magazzines during these years. So I hope you could understand better the field of architecture and learn from a Real Architect working in USA and Europe. Thank you and keep watching!
