Don't overseed. That's the beauty about having Bermuda. You get a break during the winter.
Yes, yes, and yes! And most importantly, Christmas lights on the house would look terrible with a green lawn. It must be a dormant brown one to feel right haha!

Put down some PGF Complete with my scarification, aeration and overseed with JG BB two weeks ago. Just put down the second bag today. 😎😎
Just mowed it today. 😎 lawn looks dominant compared to what it was. I’ve still got some thin patches but it has to fill in. 😎 I’m ver very pleased so far. 6500 sq ft in the front yard. That my baby till I can get the back yard planted and straightened out. J
Next time Doc take it next level. Get your propane tank and torch and burn all that brown crap off. You'll see only green against black background. The ground will heat and hold it better stimulating better faster growth. And the carbon is so delicious for that grass.

When you go to make a turn with the reel.mower how should.it be done do you lift the front end up or not & does the blades stay running or do you shut them off till you are ready to go in a straight line 🙄🙄??

For the over seeding project, you'll not put any pre emergent down? I plan to do this type project in the early spring..
When weeds start popping up, I plan to use msma to clear all.. just dont know if this will harm new growth in Bermuda seed.. most likely princess 77... thanks again for sharing your expert skills..

Tru Cut looks solid! I have a 20” McLane Reel Mower and it definitely does the job for the average home owner. My guess is the Tru Cut will outperform the McLane though based off of what the cost is. Anyhow, cheers to mowing low... 🤞🏼 I could sure use the McLane edger. 😊
I’ve always heard it’s not a good idea to over-seed Bermuda as it can affect the root system? Doc what are your thoughts on putting down several applications of the Humic DG during the wetter winter periods to help improve soil for next season? Can you put down too much Humic ? Thanks!!

Put down my Barricade several weeks ago, but my lawn had been neglected for years from the previous owner. How long does it last? I was hoping I would have active product to cull some cool season weeds and hold me off till it gets close to spring and then hit it again.
Most PEs will give you about 2-3 months. Granular generally the longest.
Doc, I'm in central NC. Temps are in the 80s and 90s for the next 2 weeks and then I got 70s coming the week after. Just put down PGF Complete last week so should I do another treatment right before the 70s hit or just let that ride?

Doc I know I got grubs just cant afford to treat them right now but what do you do for armadillos. They are tearing my lawn up. I mean it's bad enough if I didnt have crab grass I wouldn't have any at all but now I got holy crab grass. Any suggestions?
As long as you have the grubs... they'll keep coming. Right now I have them digging in my flower beds.

Here is my question to you; I’m in Dallas, TX. My lawn is 1.5 years old, now established but VERY uneven and bumpy as builders don’t really care... when is the best time to level my lawn? (Please be mindful, I’ll be over seeding on October 19th with winter Rye).

Leveling should be done during the active growing season to hold it in place. So summer time.
Is preemergent safe on one year old sod?
Yes, after one year you are good to go.

Love your channel Doc. Reel Mowers are addicting. The next thing you know you'll be top dressing your whole lawn with sand. Plant growth regulator is amazing on bremuda. Makes the turf more dense and cuts down on mowing.
