2:08 - "Customize a KB home?" That's pretty funny.....and very ridiculous. There has never been and never will be anything "custom" about any KB home. signed, Senior Appraiser for 30+ years that appraised hundreds of new and pre-owned KB Homes in Central TX.
Hey thanks for the vid! Wife and I are relocating our family early next year from California. We just accepted an offer on our home out here and hoping to close by end of January. Would probably end up renting out there for a few months before buying but I’m definitely looking at those larger lots. Preferably at least a 1/4 acre and up. I know with most HOAs out here in California they don’t allow people to have chickens in their yard. Is it any different out there for these new construction homes?
It’s a little different! Most of them have some rules on roosters but it’s neighborhood by neighborhood. Send me a message at 830-832-2466 and we can talk specifics!
You definitely have some options! Traffic is going to potentially put you over the 30 min mark but La Vernia, Schertz/Cibolo, or even one neighborhood up in Stone Oak called Brookstone Creek would all be great options. Reach out at 830-832-2466 if you want and I can give you some more specifics!
There are absolutely builders that accept VA loans! In fact there isn’t a single builder that doesn’t. San Antonio is Military City USA, everyone works with VA loans. There are some new homes with larger lots and no HOA but the HOA’s here are not what everyone is used to. They’re very simple and pretty much leave you alone completely. Essentially they’re just there to make sure people don’t trash their property. They’re also much cheaper than most expect and usually in the range of $300-$600/yr with some of the communities with more amenities being closer to $1000/yr.
A lot of good information here, nicely done.
Do you have a few home inspectors for recommendation’s?

Do you recommend KB homes? Which builder would you go with if you were a buyer right now?
Great info. Looking forward to connecting with you. Emailed you.

1. Are there home builders that accept VA home loans?
2. Any homes available without HOA’s & large backyards?
Thank you.

Love the video, but the music is annoying!
I agree after looking back at these! Got that fixed in the newer videos hopefully. 🤞🏻
That background music is distracting. I really couldn't concentrate on what was being said.
New construction is much more expensive, i dont see how you save any money
31:55 - Those are some really ugly $800K houses. Elevations look like 2010 models.
