TRIP REPORT | American Airlines - A320 - New York (LGA) to Charlotte (CLT) | Economy

- American's A320-fleet are operated on shuttle-like flights connecting cities to hubs such as Charlotte and Phoenix. The aircraft features no special amenities or fancy interiors.
The whole experience itself was great for me! This was likely my last time flying out of an old/classic LaGuardia Terminal. Although 80% of Terminal B is open, one part, Terminal D(now just a wing) is the only remnant of a time when LaGuardia was highly criticized for its aging and cramped terminals.
I had an awesome flight down to Charlotte since the flight wasn't even half full. I was practically alone in the rear cabin. Service items are currently only available upon request, but the crew had no problem serving me a Coke.

Hey I took off on a SWA 737-800 at KLGA same day as you! You can see the takeoff on my UA-cam channel (I don’t mean to advertise.) sadly I took off in the morning so it wasn’t a pretty sight of New York like you got because of the visibility.

Shortly after takeoff and making that lefthand turn over the Bronx I just thought how it could be gliding from the sky powerless.

Great job on the interior view!! Virtually no one films that. I've often complained that every fly-along video is essentially like every other one and this one feature is missing from them all. No one ever films but a few moments of boarding and getting installed in the airplane. There's no sense of realism to the boarding/entering part of the trip! At least in this video you actually took some frames of that and even a panping view. Thanks

I looked up the registration, and it used to operate for U.S. Airways too! It is also an A320

New destination in North Carolina--"Charrolate' ! :) Looking at the old vs new at LGA,hard to believe that passengers for decades,walked through those narrow,low-ceilinged corridors.They remind me of the concourses at Memphis. Clearly,AA made no money on your flight with only 30 folks aboard. Am guessing your FA for the most part,sat in the rear galley for the entire flight,easy money for her!

I’ve heard both good and bad about American Airlines. Are they good these days compared to Delta and United? I might’ve flown with them once when I was a little kid but I honestly have no idea because it’s been about 18 years since.

Ironic NY spent so much money upgrading their airports and barely anyone will see it now for the foreseeable future
Airlines especially American Airlines is not taking things into consideration because of Covid I flew in May to Indiana and the planes back and forth were packed
That's their process. Only they would know why 9 groups are required all ee have to do is follow the process :)

Gosh that airplane is a ghost ship. As to new terminals I really am looking forward to Newark opening Terminal One. Good riddance to Terminal A and all of it being stuck in the seventies.
I think I speak for other fellow New Yorkers by saying we are sad about the demolition of the old terminals. LOL

I was in CLT last week, it was a nightmare, the place was packed and 25% of people did not have a mask and staff were not enforcing any rules, I hope your experience was better

If you leave NY you can be fined as NC is in the one of the states on the banned list for travel from NY according to the news.
New York New Jersey and Connecticut had the same list. Had he left BDL for CLT CT can fine him because of Lamont Andrew Cuomo and Phil Murphy being together on a zoom meeting and talked about it.

my aunt flew American from Des Moines to Phoenix and that flight was completely full and people were not wearing their masks correctly and not really enforcing the mask rule

@@QFSAviation I really wonder about the one AA crew I had in May 2016. They were the opposite of the AA stereotype, and were younger and a darn good crew overall. Some United and Qatar crews are camera-friendly if you give them notice. Seen plenty of videos where they are proud to show off their hard work and service.

I flew over carowinds last week when I was landing in CLT, I love Rollercoasters so it was a cool scene for me
