I saw the Dodgems lots in Brighton. This was a classic song and deserved better recognition. We used to joke about the Dodgems as they were relatively old so they earnt the tag OAP Rock.
also if anybody is interested my label 12 apostles records released a 12" with 4 remixes of one of the greatest songs of all time - yes i heard it on peel first
Gary was one of my teachers at Brighton Poly. Lovely bloke but struggled with alcohol dependency. His claim to fame was being on the second iteration of the Piranhas but I preferred the Dodgems.

Yeah, I prefer the Peel session version, but then I nearly always do. He seemed to get the best out of people.
It was years ago that I first heard this song--decades in fact--still in the frontline. Still a punk. Punk Lives!
