Had the exact same car in the late 70,s reg was SCK845P,my dad wouldnt talk to me for months when i sold it.Beautiful driving car,at 19 years old thought i was king of the road.
My parents owned PNC77R a Miami blue, black roof , everything blue interior even the leather on the stearing wheel. Had it for 16 years, it even had the sunroof deflector. thought it was hi fi with the front/rear speaker fade knob . can still hear/feel the thrum at 70 on the motorway sat in those big comfy armchairs. was ex diplomatic car and had a Zodiac bonnet mascot you could fit the flag pole into, they left it in the glove box.
Had a Mark 2 GL with the 2.8 Cologne with Ghia X alloys - the Ghia X pack was the ultimate dogs b's of course. But the Mark 1 Essex 3.0 saloon - or the rarer Coupe were the dogs dogs. The 70s/80s big Ford's were solid vehicles with tons of attitude.
