Like scrapping movies like Coyote vs ACME and the Batman Beyond movie,
@karimdavis7065 1. Who said Batman Beyond was canceled? It just hasn't been picked up yet.
2. Coyote vs. ACME is still available for acquisition. In the business world, everybody flocks at the chance to release something good/great. The fact that NOBODY has stepped up to buy that movie speaks more about the movie than anything else.

What they meant is that Clark Kent was going to be in year 2 - 5 as Superman like how Robert Pattinson's Batman is in year 2.
No, what they meant is what they said, which is that the script was originally ordered and developed as a standalone project before becoming foundational to a larger DCU plan.

Everybody Likes Superman and Batman Sound Perfect And Good
Interesting how half-finished the Snyderverse turned out to be - I think it had a lot of amazing, ground-breaking aspects - but it's amazing how neither Superman nor Batman fully took off (no pun intended) - Man of Steel was solid, and that's it - if anything, it looks like the Snyderverse's lasting achievement may be the way it drew out other figures who hadn't been showcased so much onscreen - Aquaman, Shazam, Flash - and esp finally giving WW a full screen treatment plus sequel
It wasn't intended this way, but, strangely, by default it turned out a bit like the MCU in this way, relying more on less prominent figures than on its biggest icons - but rather the ones whose rights hadn't been sold off - as with Iron Man and Thor, more than Spidey, Hulk, or F4, etc
- Snyder's vision it seemed was all about combining everyone together, but what worked best in retrospect were the solo outings that sprouted on the sidelines of his floundering Justice League megaproject - that may be an important lesson in experimenting w franchises and meta-franchises like this

Nobody said there was going to be sequels to Man of Steel. You made that up. The DCEU post-Flash didn't have a Superman plan (yet). There was somewhat of a plan to do something with Supergirl, but there was nothing happening with Superman except for the standalone reboots.
Steven Knight was writing a treatment for a Cavill Superman sequel, but it got scrapped why Gunn and Safran took over (along with many other things.)
@@johngrayson9218 WB rejected his treatment before DC Studios was created. I'm hesitant to call a rejected treatment a plan. WB were exploring their options. They had Supergirl and the two standalone Superman reboots and Val-Zod all being worked on around the same time, and meanwhile they were also looking into the possibility of trying to salvage the Superman they already had, and by the sound of it, things weren't looking hopeful on that front. Maybe it could have turned around with a second treatment and become more of a plan, but that's hypothetical. I don't think WB ever knew what to do with that version of Superman. I honestly don't know that anything could have been done that would serve all masters. They changed their minds about what Superman needed to be halfway through production on Justice League, and what they wanted and the groundwork that had been laid just didn't mesh. It was too Elseworlds-y from the get go to turn into a more classic Superman. Hence why one of the reboots became the foundation of the new plan. I think that was inevitable.
@@Swenglish It wasn’t rejected, they gave notes on it for another draft of the treatment. Before the second treatment could be written, Gunn and Safran were hired - and development was ended then.
But it is indeed clear that WB didn’t know what to do with Superman.

Lol. This movie about to flop. Gunn doesn't have the fanbase he had at Disney. DC fans are spilt if not all on Synders side. And i won't be supporting this nor have I, since i heard he was hired. They trying to tune DC into the MCU and its not gonna work. It worked at Disney with all the other princesses. But this garbage will get the throw away, just like the Female Ghostbusters movie!!! I see the same thing going on and ppl were like its gonna be this and that. I didn't mind it and i liked it. But i see the same thing going on with this new DCU reboot! I'm not supporting this tho.
