I totally love your idea of asking yourself how you would write about the girl wearing the outfit in a book! Such a neat concept.
Yesh, she has a great taste of fashion. The way she styled herself is so mesmerizing and impressive.
I gasped because I use that approach too! One of the best things imo is when authors describe the look or clothing of characters, esp when they are detailed. Murakami for example does this a lot and it makes you understand the characters better.

Would you consider doing one about business casual outfits? I know dressing up for work is not very common nowadays....I work from home 95% of the time but when I do have to go to the office it’s usually for client meetings or training sessions and I need to dress a bit more in the realm of “business casual.” I always struggle with this, and it’s like I forget how do dress because I’m at home in loungewear most work days. When I get dressed for a client meeting I always seem to end up with really boring looking options. Your style ideas are always so interesting and different, and that’s just what I need help with!! I guess it would help to dress up at home. So it becomes more of a routine and you experience what feels good and get a routine of creating an outfit. :) Love from Germany!

Oh I LOVE the romantic white dress outfit!! I'm finding I've gained weight over the last 6 months... and while some of my pants no longer fit, my flowy dresses and skirts still make me feel good and like myself. I'm excited to lean in to flowy styles with structured accents, so that I can continue to feel good in my body even when closely tailored items no longer fit me.

I love this video! It’s great because I have items that are very similar to the items in your video, or items that can be substituted. The outfits are simple enough that a lot of people can recreate them, yet they still look great!

However, I appreciate these looks because I had to layer while I lived abroad in Japan and I absolutely enjoyed styling for these seasons. In fact, I really miss that! I love to style myself like this, and I do too, and just when I think I'm ready, anxiety kicks in. Then I wonder what if people see me and think I'm overdressed. And in no time I change into jeans, t-shirt and sneakers, every single day.
Aww, I hope you find the confidence to go out like this one day soon! I highly recommend therapy for things like this, it's helped me a bunch. So many warm wishes to you - I relate a lot!
Maybe try elevating one thing at a time? Add a nicer sweater one day, or do tee shirt jeans and a boots one day?
