Bethany, I love this video. I am 34 and a mom of 4 kids (and work part time at an office in a university, I choose to go into the office). My style has changed dramatically over the last 8 years of pregnancy and childbirth. So even “pre-pandemic,” comfort was tantamount for me. I have found myself lately feeling uncomfortable in public because no one else is dressed. I even have received comments like “oh my gosh, what are you dressed up for?!” While wearing jeans and a T-shirt! Thank you for this wonderful reminder that as I continue on in building my own style and wardrobe, comfort and function are major considerations! Ps... as you can imagine, I am very busy (not much peace and quiet over here!) and grateful for it... but my “me” time is mostly spent thinking about style/design/etc. I enjoy your videos so much!

+1 for the indoor shoes, it kind of motivates you to ditch pj's & sweatpants during the day & dress things up a little, i also love to throw on a nice knit oversize cardigan at home over whatever i'm wearing, it does the trick & allows me to move around my home doing all sorts of things without ever feeling loungey. I really love this video. I know this might not be your style, but I would LOVE to hear your opinion/thoughts about how to dress as a stay at home mom. Lots of playing on the floor, doing housework and running errands everyday. I want to feel put together but can’t seem to find a chic way to do it without fear of ruining a nice pair of silk pants

Like you, I think it is psychologically important to make a break from "sleep style" to day and work and socialize style, (it sends your brain a message) but you can still do it in a stylishly comfortable way. Comfort Chic. Love it. For men's fashion I've been rolling back the clock to the days when men's fashion was big and boxy rather than the super slim and athletic forms being pushed in more modern times.

I have been BINGING your videos. I feel like I have good style. But where I struggle is dressing for work. I feel like I oftentimes looks disheveled or just not well put together. Your videos are helping me edit my closet and i am saving up to find a few staple pieces that I can add to my closet for work. Just want a clean, classy look for work.
You get me. You’re right about being business up top and lounge-y at the bottom. It starts to feel lounge-y all over and that’s dangerous when you have to be in the zone sometimes.
I found it so funny when I saw a photo of Jeanne Dumas yesterday wearing my favourite (and over worn) Lilly silk pjs (like yours) with jeans on the streets of Paris. I bought some decent house shoes recently from Etsy but you wouldn’t believe how hard it is to find something young and attractive that has a back to it. I’ve had to wear orthotics ever since I was 13 and 99% of slipper/house shoes are either fluff lined ugg-styles or gran's bulky velcro slippers. I was previously wearing suede Chelsea boots in the house but it really wasn’t ideal.

Many beautiful, elegant, and classic pieces but less structured, for sure. I absolutely adore really dressing up to the nines but you mix stunningly casual with elegant timeless pieces to create a fabulous wardrobe look for just about any occasion. We're about the same size. I think I'm a bit taller than you and my hips a wee bit narrower But I dearly wish I had a tad bit more of a bum. Lol. The music at the end of your videos (started around 12:20 in this vid) is very nice however it sounds similar to one of the apple alarm sounds so it always gives me anxiety 😂

@@bethanyleonardo ok hear me out listen to the alarm sound “Helios” but it’s not on the normal alarm option it’s only on the “Bedtime” alarm option where u set a recurring alarm for every morning in the Apple health app and compare it to the song 12:20 until 12:35. Also I just realized it’s actually my current alarm sound and the bedtime function hasn’t been around for more than a year or two. i guess I only thought I switched it, I will do that now😂 It’s definitely a peaceful sound until it wakes u up for school every morning for a year 😭(btw I’m not claiming it’s the same sound or that it’s bad it’s just funny because I enjoy your peaceful video and then I have anxiety because that sound, in my brain, makes me think I have to wake up😂 but hey at least you know I watch all your videos to the end)
