A titanium firebox g2 doesn’t warp like that. Neither does the nano. Firebox is superior engineering. I’ve been using them for a long time.

I just bought a firebox stainless steel to avoid warping a titanium one. I used it for first time yesterday and it was good 👍

Nice overview of these three twig stoves 🔥👍 My first twig stove was in 1984, my freshman year of high school, as a freebie bonus from Bass Pro Shops. And I actually used that stove for fires and to cook on! Fast forward to 2015, when I "perfectly" modified my Ikea hobo stove. Nothing could touch it. Even though I was aware of Firebox, Bushbox, "smokeless" gassifier stoves and the other kind of twig stoves, my hobo stove was king 👑🔥 Then in 2021, I got the 5" Firebox Gen 2 on Craigslist for dirt cheap, and I have not looked back since! Now I have almost every type of FBS and thoroughly use and enjoy them all. The Nano is currently my favorite!

Very good video, thank you. And it's very cool that you've mentioned the titanium wrapping. It will help lots of people to decide which one they want.

I have both stainless and titanium Bushbox, both are badly warped. I have the Firebox which I burn with the Swedish fire torch method with southern hardwoods since they came out with the G2 version. No warping period. The two Bushbox stoves are in a box of junk in my basement. The Firebox lives in my truck and goes everywhere with me, it's boiled enough coffee to swim in, wouldn't trade it for a new Buick.

But you didn't specify what type of metal you went for with your G2 Firebox! That's the most critical part we want to know! 😂

@@educational4434 I can vouch, being a Firebox Fan Boy and having both titanium and ss in the Nano and Gen 2, that after over one year of at least 3 dozen, hours-long fires in each stove- even more so in my Titanium Nano, that there is absolutely NO warping in any of my stoves! I was a stubborn die hard for my modified Ikea hobo stove for close to a decade, before I found a 5" Firebox Gen 2 on Craig list for dirt cheap. All my other stoves are now collecting dust in the garage, lol!

Brilliant, thank you for this comparison. That's some skilled and dexterous one-handed filming too 👌

The stainless version of the Bushbox has served me well for almost 9 years now. I've purchased many stainless variants from many manufactures since, and love them all. I wouldn't waste my money on any titanium version of any twig stove, however, I do own some cups and plates made of titanium for their weight reduction while hiking. I enjoyed your video and share your thoughts on this subject!

Thanks for your video. I have a titanium folding one for hiking/ forest exploration. I use an old "food cozy" to keep it in.

BushBox creates an inbetween size which I prefer and very similar size to that of the Emberlit stove. Firebox has not done this size yet.

I think you've been a little unfair in comparing Ti against SS. It is not a like for like comparison. That is some serious warpage on the Bushbox and I wouldn't mind betting that at some point you've tried to use it as a mini campfire, something that is specifically cautioned against by both BB AND FB. I went for the BB Ti XL, years ago and have suffered minimal distortion. To cook, you simply don't need a raging inferno. There are very few decent comparisons between these 2 stoves so thanks for making the effort.

    hello,
fyi - I have a stainless xl and had it for few years, and it does warp, "A" symmetry of the firebox is mental hurdle for some😂

✨️👍💯 Good to review these types. I always use the ground. Dig a small hole and gather/prep wood, light and off ya go. Simple and reasonable. Lots of stove types out there.

I've got a Ti firebox and it's not warped it's that simple, granted the large grill sucks and the damper flap is to loose to work right but honestly after spending so much on it I'd rather just take a trangia. They're cheaper lighter clearly they don't pack down as well but they work much better

So, you’re saying stainless steel is better choice for Bushbox? That is my leaning.

*My issue with ALL alcohol stoves as well as liquid fuel and compressed gas petroleum-based stoves is that they are only relevant as long as there is a constantly renewable, inexhaustible supply of jellied alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, aviation fuel, #2 fuel oil, diesel fuel, white gas, propane, isobutane, or butane.*
*If the caca should ever hit the oscillating blades of an air movement device, then twig stoves or rocket stoves will be one's only option, other than traditional open fires, fireplaces, and older wood stove designs when those fuels become scarce, too valuable to waste on a relatively inefficient stove for cooking, or non-existant.*

It's a shame to do a review without daring to give your opinion, especially when you have both... your opinion is yours alone. I also have both, the bushbox is good, easy to install but the grid deforms under the effect of the heat. I much prefer the firebox which is much more solid and very versatile, and offers many more options. Without hesitation the firebox is much more accomplished and complete than the bushbox
