I too will depart from Seattle to check out San Juan Island. An unplanned spontaneous roadtrip due to this coronavirus going on. Thanks for the tips. Initial google map shows "no route" from here to San Juan..got me hesitant for awhile lol

Hi Mike! Did you rent a car on each island (San Juan and Orcas) or does the ferry from the mainland allow transport of you car to the different islands?
Good question! I actually rented in Seattle and drove to the San Juan Islands. If I recall correctly, there are only three islands accessible by car ferry. San Juan, Orcas and Lopez. Would you recommend driving our own car into the ferry or leave it at Anacortes Ferry terminal (How much is the parking for the day ?) I have a rental car because I am visiting from CA just wondering if it is worth to drive or walk . Also If we choose Friday Harbor , Can we go yo another island within the same day for example Orcas Island or Lopez ?
Hi Juan, if you're just going for a day, I suppose you could leave the car in Anacortes, but there is so much to see on the island of San Juan, I think it would be best to take the car. You would have to check the WA Ferry system to get the schedule to find out if it would be doable to visit another island. I don't think you could visit more than one island in one day, there is just too much to see/do. Hope that was of help. Thanks so much for watching. Cheers, Mike

How much they charge to take the car I heard it is $50 per person with the car 🚗.

I live here. nicest place on earth. the only problem is logistical issues: $5 avocados, $17 pack of bacon and so on.
