as someone who grew up with A.S, I enjoyed the show bones and found it amusing that whenever there was a oh she misunderstood gag, I was actually laughing at the other characters because I thought her response was naturall

Bones is likable and a professional worth aspiring to mold your life after. Sheldon is obnoxious and spiteful and I can’t fathom why anybody would want to be him.

I personally think the big reason why sheldon came off as "obnoxious" or "annoying" in the show was bc EVERYBODY made him the butt of the joke all the time

I'm Bones fan, and I have Asperger syndrome. My mom was surprised when I told her Brennan have Asperger. My mom was happy because I want to be a forensic anthropologist because I watched Bones and my most favorite Bones character Dr. Temperance "Bones"Brennan have Asperger syndrome. I want work as a forensic anthropologist and few boys and girl in my classroom calling me "brainer" or "Encyclopedia" (this nickname is from neighbor classroom B), because I have got good stamps and I'm teaching after school. *Except my friends*.

I don't think the knocking counts. He developed that habit after walking in on his dad cheating on his mom.

Proof that Sheldon has Asberger's: he once said that his mother had him tested. I have this disorder, and my family found it via my being tested.

Hey,Ho, Lego! Correct. And in one of the episodes, his Mother did say she " wishes she had followed up with" something about the doctor's order's or something like that.

I think he got tested and it was confirmed that he wasnt autistic.

Hi, as a person with Autism I just wanted to 5ell you, that most people with Autism dislike the puzzle piece sign, as it incinuates that people that are autistic are missing something or need to be fixed. It akso is the sign of Autism Speaks which is a Autism hate group.
Next time please use the infinity rainbow sign. Thanks
PS: Asberger and Kanner syndrome aren't medical terms anymore it just called ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)

Here's why aspies don't like changing a topic they have knowledge in to another where they are lost. It's because their special interests are seen as trivia and hobbies to other people but to aspies they typically knowntheir subject so well they can bring it up seemingly randomly because certain worss fire up other memories in the brain. Everyone has this, it's how we trigger our memories to come forward. However, aspies, having little to no impulse control in regard to conversation will often mention the special interest when to others the topics aren't applicable.
For instance when I talk with friends about movie characters and tv characters I always go to Star Wars typically. This is because I know a lot about it and it's characters because it was my first special interest. Tbh I learned to not always jump in with it and I kinda adapted to social cues. But when someone talks about good female characters I mention Ahsoka or Leia because they are the first ti come up in my mind.

I started watching both of these series when they first aired and instantly identified with both main characters. A few years later I was diagnosed with Asperger's. 😁

Sheldon has no problem making eye contact. It seems like a better explanation of him is that he has a severe case of OCD and many many character flaws. I've never known someone with autism to be deliberately mean and insulting, which Sheldon absolutely is. He gets enjoyment out of insulting other people.

This very interesting. I too share some of those attributes. I have met people who have said to me that they believe that I'm Autistic. I have never been diagnosed as one. But their are a lot of Asperger syndrome attributes that I do have. I don't like change, and I am diffidently socially awkward. I have above normal IQ, and I just like Brennan, love to stick to certain subject, With Brennan it's anthropology, with me it's murderers and serial killers, and with some psychology as well. You don't want to get me started with that subject. However, not all of these traits I have. I had difficulties learning how to read when I was young, and I don't have OCD. But as you said not all people with this disorder has all of these symptoms.

Firstly you could have allowed the clips to speak for themselves. including clips and not being able to hear them because the narrator makes it difficult to hear them. with your next video please make sure you use short introductions otherwise what is the point

I was diagnosed with aspergers as a toddler. Honestly, I share many of these characteristics and I have family members who have told me that I'm like them. I do want to say though that I don't like the fact that you called people with Aspergers "aspy". I may have aspergers but it is not my identity, I also just feel offended by that term.

    • @popcornanatomy4946
      @popcornanatomy4946  7 років тому +6

Thanks for the insight. If I used the term in this video, it's because I've heard other people with Asperger's calling themselves "Aspies," so I didn't think anyone would get offended by it. But I understand where you are coming from, and I'll try to be more careful if I ever do make another video about the disorder again.
