- Virginia Tech ME 2004: Vector and Matrix Norms
This video reviews some basic concepts of the matrix/vector norm. There are more mathematically rigorous definitions of the norm, but the most practical information is distilled into what's shown in this video.

Straight-Forward Explanation and good example. Keep up the good work. Thanks for such a good lecture.
Very clear and simple. Great job!
by far the best video on this topic on all of youtube
Appreciate it!
Great video. It's been a few years since I took the relevant course and this really helped me get the intuitions back for a computational linear algebra course I've just started this semester.
thanks, glad it helped!
Thank you Mr. GradeSaver!!!
Superb explanation
Great Explanation!!!!!
Nice explanation, Sir🤍
Great explication !
Thank you
Thanks,sir
I think you missed the matrix 2-norm case.
Yes, that was intentional. The matrix 2-norm is related to eigenvalues (specifically, the largest eigenvalue of (Atranspose*A)^(1/2)), which we do not cover in this course. But I may re-upload this video w/ the addition of the matrix 2-norm just for informational purposes
