@@mikecampos1193 We would like that, but they tend to find our burial rites and chapter traditions distasteful. It gets awkward when they accuse us of heresy after spying upon us burning ourselves in the funeral pyers to honor our fallen. Not violent so much, just awkward.

I always get a kick out of the thought of a Salamander stepping in front of Krieg soldier to shield them and just being like "hey, you matter too bud" - and then just the sounds of quiet sobbing behind a gasmask.
One day...Lord Tu'Shan will be honoured with a Model on the Tabletop...One day...
We can always hope for one when the supplement gets updated. Primaris of course because reasons.

I've taken up to making my own, with a terminator captain from the blood angels with a greenstufff cape and some peices of dinosaur from the Lizardmen, and ofc a wielding a thunderhammer :D

One of my fondest memories of this character is when he beat the ever-living piss out of a Marine's Malevolent after he ordered an artillery strike on a civilian village.
He didn’t beat him. The guy dropped after one punch. He couldn’t take more than that.

Tu’ Shan is what any salamander should be in these dark times. He is a noble warrior whose bleeding heart is by far the most closest to his Primarch Vulkan. He is a powerful warriors who compared to centuries old chapter masters like Dante and Calgar, but who example of the promethium cult is second only to his Primarch.

I've said this elsewhere before but when, and I repeat WHEN Papa Vulkan returns to the Empirium I want Vulkan to offer a gift to Tu'Shan for his stellar service. Tu'Shan, being the guy he is, only requests a handshake from Vulkan. Vulkan proceeds to embrace him and then Tu'Shan cries.

I was there when the Chapter Master disciplined one of the captains of the Marines Malevolent. Later he said and I quote, “I laid the bastard out with a single blow, for that will be a scar lingering upon him for the entirety of his tenure.
These boys and the Wolves are my favorites , oddly they along with the Blood angels are the most human of the chapters. They are the farthest removed by quirks of geneseed yet the closest in personality.

do NOT fight a Salamander in close quarters (unless you are one of Khorne's boys).
The Sallies are a good head taller than the other space marines and a good chunk stronger and tankier. They hit HARD.

This Guy and Pedro Cantor would be the best of friends. The sons of Dorn and Vulcan share the same relationships as their fathers. Truly one of my favorite relationships in the 40k universe.

It’s refreshing that the setting has a chapter like the Salamanders. Were all chapters as callous as Black Templar’s or the Iron Hands, the setting would be insufferably dark, without relief and ultimately, boring. I totally agree with Ser Baldermort on this: the salamanders are true heroes in the grim darkness.
"They show the citizenry that they are valued, whereas the administratum and the ministorum may not, well, definitely *do* not." - With all due respect Baldermort, this is ENTIRELY unfair, they have clearly and definitively valued each and every Imperial Citizen as at least equal to that of a bar of the commonly and slanderously named "corpse starch", for...unrelated reasons.

The greatest power of the Salamanders is morale. They show citizens that someone in the Imperium truly cares, that someone is willing to stand with them. Space marines are amazingly effective, but there are a lot more common soldiers, merchants, logistical officers, engineers and even brave citizens. With a mix of technological knowhow and empowering presence, they are like dragons leading an army. But how much more powerful are these troops if they are steady and sure, how much more can they accomplish with sheer numbers and determination. That is the lesson of the Salamanders: the flame of hope lies in every human, the greatest space marines are those that know how to kindle it.
The more I learn about the Salamanders the more they rise in my favorite space marine chapters list.

I love you Balders, and wish to have your babies. Tu'Shan should have rules for 40K, but nah, GW consider it more important to have named Ultramarine Sergeants than actual Chapter Masters of other First Founding Chapters.... Go figure....
Also, there is a story about the time he decked Vinyar, but I can't remember the name of it right now. It was glorious!
7:08, okay, THAT’S just Vulkan. That book was my first real foray into 40k literature. An awesome book, to be sure. Nothing gets me going quite like hordes of Orks getting murdered
Anything involving the Salamanders makes me lament the fact the Emperor's Children fell to Chaos. In the Fulgrim novel, Fulgrim, for all his pride and arrogance, laments that his brothers, including Vulkan, see no other ways to prosecute compliance than with violent invasion, while he wants to find a better, less harmful way of winning that will help the people they conquered.
If the third had not fought the Laer, then there would be both the EC and Salamanders standing up for ordinary humans in the 41st millennium, and with the stability and numbers the third was able to reach even after the blight, they'd likely be numerous enough to make a real difference in the Imperium.
Then he really fell from grace. That is sad.

Just tossing this out there. The Imperium would have sooooooooo many less problem if Baldermort was a high lord. No way the Warp could handle this mans level of wholesomeness.

Salamanders is probably the only SM chapter I'd play, they are just the bestest of power armour bois, that glass bottle green armour is a beautiful scheme and fire..... many much fire. Can't say no to forgemaster pyromaniacs.
